    £235.00

“Now we’ll have some entertainment. Take him to the pit!”

A scarce and beautiful example from a series of films financed and produced in Italy during the 1960’s and affectionately known as ‘sword and sandal’ dramas. “Monster From The Unknown World” (Atlas in the Land of the Cyclops) tells the story of strongman Maciste (for Maciste you could insert Samson, Hercules, Atlas etc) as he battles mythical beasts in the search for ancient justice. Camp (not necessarily the intention) and certainly of the time these series of films have developed a cult following and are particularly collectable. This original UK quad film poster for Antonio Leonviola’s “Monster From The Unknown World” is from first year of release 1961 and really is a stunning example of fantasy horror artwork which is unique to the British release.
