Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and Ignition Print have certainly not disappointed with this iconic design for the trilogy’s 2012 finale “The Dark Knight Rises”. In the comics Bane famously broke Batman’s back – Does the shattered Bat cowl tease that this time he goes one further ? Dark and stylish. A foretaste of things to come…A great way to use a teaser poster. Enigmatic and stylish, and in this Japanese B1 format truly impressive. The Japanese lettering perfectly suits the imagery, totally enhancing the overall effect. …more detailAn all-action sci-fi vista of a film poster for Glen A. Larson’s ‘epic’ “Battlestar Galactica”. Receiving a full cinematic release it was an edited together version of three TV shows released in the USA largely to cash in, on the still very popular ‘Star Wars’ phenomena. With some colourful, dynamic sci-fi artwork by Robert Tanenbaum (a homage to Tom Chantrell’s famous art for ‘Star Wars’ perhaps ?) this original 1978 country of origin US one-sheet movie poster is presented in original unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays to impactful effect with light age and handling wear; colours are deep and unfaded with some truly rip roaring laser blasting, robot, space ship adventure imagery. A cool item that represents a fantastic piece of very collectable and desirable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and hugely popular film and TV franchise.
Trivia: John Dykstra, who worked on Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) used much of the technology developed for ILM in this movie, including his motion control camera, the so-called “Dykstraflex”.
…more detailLargely due to the “Star Wars” effect and the huge global popularity of the “Dungeons & Dragons” role playing game, the 1980’s truly was the decade of the mystical sword and sorcery fantasy. Don Coscarelli’s “Beastmaster” has stood the test of time well and is fondly remembered with a large and loyal fanbase. Boasting some of the best fantasy art seen on a movie poster by the advertising agency FEREF (Eddie Paul) with finished art byJosh Kirby this original 1982 UK quad for “Beastmaster” certainly impresses. Scarce and hard to find in this high grade condition, this originally folded (as issued) example looks fantastic and presents in exceptional condition that represents a fine piece of hugely collectable original 80’s sci-fi fantasy movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Director Don Coscarelli decided to set the story in a sort of Bronze Age milieu because he was a long time fan of Steve Reeves, Ray Harryhausen, and sword and sandal flicks.

With bright colours and distinctive painted illustration, it is a perfect complement to what is a excellent (dark) comedy film featuring a standout performance by Peter Sellers. A beautiful, stylish piece of film poster art that is unique to this Polish release. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored 1979 example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents one of the most collectable Peter Sellers’ film posters available.
Trivia: It took Peter Sellers nearly nine years to get this movie made by a studio, mainly because by the 1970s Sellers’ career had hit rock bottom and no studio in Hollywood would work with him. After the revival (and success) of the Pink Panther movies, Lorimar Pictures finally greenlit the project.

Due to a very limited cinematic release of this ‘art-house’ independent movie this poster is a truly scarce item of sports memorabilia, an original 2016 UK Quad movie poster for Daniel Gordon’s sports biopic “BEST: George Best All By Himself”. A impressive looking poster, especially if you are a George Best fan. Halfway between a sports documentary and a social statement on the pitfalls of fame and celebrity culture. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb example displays and presents to excellent effect featuring a poignant close up colour photograph of the titular Best in the famous red jersey of Manchester United, the team he made his name with. The only time the Californian surf culture was portrayed accurately in a Hollywood studio film. Surfing aficionados consider this John Milius written & directed movie to be one of the best surfing-related films made, in part because of the legendary surfing cinematography sequences by Greg MacGillivray and the appearance of several professional world champion surfers. Any paper from this cult movie is rare with the British UK quad being perhaps the rarest and certainly (IMHO) the best looking featuring ‘surfing the big wave’ artwork that perfectly suits the landscape format. Surfing and the surf culture surrounding it unlike in the USA was relatively unknown in 70’s Britain with a very small dedicated fanbase & following, hence the very limited cinema screenings for “Big Wednesday” resulting in these quad posters rarely being offered for sale & certainly not in this excellent condition. Originally folded, the foldlines are now virtually un-noticeable thanks to the high standard of linen backing. From first year of release, 1978 this original UK quad film poster is presented in first class condition with incredible unfaded colours and amazing surfing artwork. A beautiful example of original film movie memorabilia that represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase one of the ‘cult’ sporting posters from the 70’s.
Trivia: Gary Busey would later star alongside Keanu Reeves, in another surfing movie, Point Break (1991), but his character never surfed.

It’s a clever, striking black and white piece featuring Michael Keaton appearing to ‘fly’ whilst in the far background his character “BiRDMAN” looks on as do most of the excellent supporting cast as their images appear on the ‘off-Broadway’ bill boards. This is a rare example of the 2014 UK quad movie poster. Guaranteed original, it is presented in excellent near mint rolled (as issued) condition it appears almost faultless and represents an investment grade example of desirable and collectable original film movie memorabilia for one of Hollywood’s best regarded and talented emerging young directors; Alejandro G.
