“Two no-hopers. One cursed village. One hell of a night !”
An original 2009 Advance UK Quad movie poster for Phil Claydon’s horror comedy romp “Lesbian Vampire Killers”. James Corden and Mathew Horne (yes, the two guys from the hit TV show “Gavin and Stacey”) in their first cinematic endeavour. This movie is often compared to “Shaun of the Dead” but with lesbian vampires and has established a real cult following of fans. A eye-catching poster design by FEREF makes for a desirable piece of original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Writers Stewart Williams and Paul Hupfield were challenged to think of the dumbest and yet most commercial title possible for a film, Lesbian Vampire Killers was the answer. They then went away and wrote the script.

“…you think that the president of the Soviet Union could possibly interested in your… dilemma ?”
A rare original country of origin 1985 UK quad film poster for Chris Bernard’s “Letter To Brezhnev” designed and illustrated by the British punk illustrator and designer, Jamie Reid, the artist responsible for most of the Sex Pistols’ influential graphics. This poster is featured in Sim Branaghan’s excellent book British Film Posters. He says of the poster and Palace Pictures – “The British producer and distributor, Palace pictures, maintained a higher design standard than most with the poster for Letter to Brezhnev one of the very last genuinely distinctive artist-designed British film posters”. Originally folded (as issued) this excellent example presents exceptionally well and represents a fine piece of collectable memorabilia from one of Punk’s best known artists.
Trivia: The script was written in only two weeks and the film was shot in three weeks.

“A Disgrace to Criminals Everywhere.”
Original 1998 UK Quad film poster for Guy Ritchie’s breakthrough movie…“Lock Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels”…A very limited initial UK release means these Yellow1 designed posters are in extremely scarce…Any original memorabilia from the movie has become extremely sought after as this breakthrough film has gone on to become of the most influential British films of recent years, launching the careers of its stars and director. Presented here in excellent original rolled (as issued) condition this high grade example is a beauty…“All right, son: roll them guns up, count the money, and put your seat belt on.”
Trivia: The film was having trouble finding an American distributor when Trudie Styler called an acquaintance of hers – Tom Cruise. He attended a screening and loved the film. Matthew Vaughn later recalled, “It was hysterical. You had all these mid-level executives sitting there, and Cruise walked in. He saw them all sit up and pay attention, all getting on their phones, and suddenly all these senior executives joined the screening … At the end, Tom got up in front of everyone and said ‘This is the best movie I’ve seen in years, you guys would be fools not to buy it.’…”

“It’s All About Love… Actually.”
A British classic – comedy & romance combine for Richard Curtis’ “Love Actually”. With an impressive star-studded cast, most of whom are featured on the poster, this much loved movie is a genuine feelgood offering. A Christmas or a Valentines movie – well you can decide with this beautifully presented, country of origin British UK quad film poster from the first year of release 2003. Designed by TEA – The Entertainment Agency this example was originally issued rolled and displays superbly and represents a great piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: A speech given by Hugh Grant in this movie (where he extols the virtues of Great Britain and refuses to cave to the pressure of its longstanding ally, the United States) was etched in the transatlantic memory as a satirical, wishful statement on the concurrent relationship with George W. Bush. Tony Blair responded by saying in 2005, “I know there’s a bit of us that would like me to do a Hugh Grant in Love Actually (2003) and tell America where to get off. But the difference between a good film and real life is that in real life there’s the next day, the next year, the next lifetime to contemplate the ruinous consequences of easy applause.”

Original Gramercy Pictures country of origin, one-sheet movie poster for the slapstick Kevin Smith romantic comedy, “Mallrats” starring Shannen Doherty, Jeremy London, Claire Forlani and Jason Lee. All of whom are featured on this 1995 comic book style film poster by Drew Struzan. This is the story of two friends who both lose their girlfriends on the same day and spend the rest of the day hanging out in a local mall with their wacky friends. With a clever design, Struzan does a great job of representing the characters, making them instantly recognisable; the addition of Stan Lee is a nice touch and he looks particularly cool. It displays to excellent effect and is presented in unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition. A rare high grade item of movie memorabilia for a very collectable ‘cult’ comedy film.
Trivia: Brodie’s comic book collection seen in the movie was director Kevin Smith‘s collection at the time (which has grown considerably since). The collection is what Smith was able to purchase back after selling his original collection to finance production of Clerks (1994).

Jim and Brian Henson’s Muppets meet swash-buckling adventure in their 1996 movie adaption of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel “Muppets Treasure Island”. Artist Drew Struzan cleverly incorporates the live action actors into an excellent and colourful movie poster where they combine seamlessly with the true stars of the movie, the Muppets – Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Rizzo, Fozzie Bear. It’s an amazing looking poster, rolled (as issued) this lovely unrestored example presents to superb effect. Muppet movie memorabilia doesn’t get much better than this, from one of cinema’s most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: Kevin Bishop recalled that while filming the scene in the crow’s nest with Tim Curry, he said, “‘I mean be honest, Tim, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) – those fishnets – you’re never going to live those down, are you?” To which Curry responded, “Not as long as wankers like you keep bringing it up. You really are a sublime wanker, Kevin”. They would use the word sublime as a joke between them.

Written by John Hughes and Directed by Harold Ramis “National Lampoon’s Vacation” is one of the strongest comedies of the 1980’s and stands head and shoulders above anything else from National Lampoon (Animal House runs it very close though) before or since while following the mishaps that befall the Griswold family on the way to the mythical theme park Walley World. The movie poster that accompanied the release is one of the most memorable and best of the comedy genre; a magnificent piece designed by leading fantasy artist Boris Vallejo….The original 1983 UK quad movie poster offered has been SIGNED by the three stars featured on the poster – CHEVY CHASE, BEVERLY D’ANGELO and CHRISTIE BRINKLEY with both D’Angelo and Brinkley adding their character names; Ellen Griswold and Ferrari Girl. All three signatures are lovely and clear in blue ink and really stand out against the neutral background. Originally folded (as issued) it is presented in excellent original unrestored condition with great colours and outstanding artwork. Very rare in such fine condition and SIGNED, it represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from a film lauded as a modern comedy classic with iconic artwork that is sure to impress.
The signatures were obtained at Fan Expo Dallas in June 2023, where the cast were promoting the 40th anniversary of the Film’s release.
Trivia: John Hughes‘ script was inspired by an equally ill-fated family trip to Disneyland when he was five years old, which was what his National Lampoon Magazine article “Vacation ’58” was about.

Through films like Okja and Snowpiercer, director Bong Joon Ho has dazzled audiences with his unique knack for blending genres to tell layered, one-of-a-kind stories and now in the multi Academy Award winning “Parasite” he is receiving the critical and commercial acclaim he so richly deserves. To complement the Oscar success the hugely respected creative arts agency La Boca were commissioned to design a film poster to accompany some of the post Oscar screenings, resulting in a very special poster depicting a cut-away house image (look closely and you will see an Oscar underneath the table on the central far left illustration) that is unique to this British format. The original 2019 UK quad poster offered here presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued). Winning four (4) Oscars at the 2020 ceremony, including Best Picture, Directing, International Feature Film and Writing (Original Screenplay). Kurtz’ artwork captures the seemingly picture-perfect moment between the happily rich Parks completely oblivious to what’s unfolding around them, and the Kim family relegated to the shadows struggling with their own complex feelings toward such wealth and privilege. “Hired killers by day. Devoted lovers by night. Until they found their next assignment was each other”…Beautiful rolled UK Quad film poster for John Huston’s 1985 romantic gangster based black comedy “Prizzi’s Honour” starring Jack Nicholson & Kathleen Turner as the loved up mob assassins. You would be hard pushed to find a nicer example of this (if you could find one at all). Originally rolled with great artwork and deep unfaded colours this displays superbly, looking absolutely fantastic in this landscape format presented here in investment grade condition.

Steven Shainberg’s multi award winning and controversial film “Secretary” certainly caused a few eyebrows to be raised when released in 2002 dealing with a master/slave relationship of an unlikely couple played by James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Both of the said stars feature prominently on the original UK quad film poster offered here. Presented in excellent rolled (as issued) condition it appears almost faultless and represents an investment grade example of a very rare, desirable and collectable film movie memorabilia for a much talked talked about film…“Assume the position”

“You’ll Die Laughing !”
A striking movie poster that’s a well fitting design for this dark comedic horror “Stitches”. Designed by creative arts agency OC this British UK quad from 2012 is a great looking poster focuses on Ross Noble in full clown make-up as the dis-figured titular serial killer ‘Stitches’. A very creepy and eye-catching image. Although designed to look like a battered and distressed, it is printed on a heavier stock paper (which enhances and gives the muted colours a real depth) it actually presents near perfectly being originally rolled (as issued) and is genuinely scarce with very limited showings in a small number of ‘art-house’ & ‘specialist’ cinemas. A memorable piece of ‘modern’ horror film memorabilia that is hugely collectable encompassing not just movie fans but also the horror art marketplace and fans of the comedian Ross Noble.
Trivia: The medication that Tommy takes to relieve anxiety is called “Hypnocil”, the same name as the medication used to suppress dreams in the Nightmare on Elm Street series.
