Sam Raimi’s “The Evil Dead” is one of the best horror comedy movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this is one of the greatest performing films, dollar for dollar in cinematic history. One of the most popular film titles for alternative movie posters artists, this 2016 hand-numbered (#134/220) print by Francesco Francavilla is a standout piece and a proper horror poster as a chainsaw wielding Ash (Bruce Campbell) and the demonically possessed Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss) dominate the blood red coloured imagery. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly that represents an impressive piece of horror artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster. “I know now that my wife has become host to a Kandarian demon. I fear that the only way to stop those possessed by the spirits of the book is through the act of… bodily dismemberment.”
Trivia: Over his years as a director, Raimi’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (originally bought by Raimi’s father for the family when Sam was 14) has “played” Ash’s car in the Evil Dead movies, Uncle Ben and Aunt May’s car in the Spider-Man movies, Annie’s car in The Gift (2000), and Mrs. Ganoush’s car in Drag Me to Hell (2009), and has made cameos in nearly all of his other movies.

This example has been autographed by the Movie’s acclaimed Director and Writer Sam Raimi and annotated ‘Scream! Scream!’ The signing was carried out in 2023 (June) at FanExpo, Philadelphia and is accompanied by an official JSA Certificate of Authenticity from the event numbered AK96625. “While the rest of us were just thinking about it…Ferris borrowed a Ferrari and did it…all in a day”
“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” was a so so hit for John Hughes when released in 1986 launching many of it’s cast on the road to Hollywood glory; Matthew Broderick, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Grey etc. But it’s the car that Ferris and his pals steal that has kept the movie firmly in the spotlight, especially in more recent years as movie poster art & automobilia have become very, very collectable – it’s one of the most famous and coveted cars that a certain Italian named Enzo ever produced – a Ferrari (RED of course) 250 GT California. Although it was featured on the original cinema marketing campaign it was heavily stylised by the artist Adrian Perkis. So, it’s no surprise that when it was released on video in 1986, the Ferrari figured prominently with a beautiful photograph of the car – don’t worry Ferrari fans, Ferris has been photo-shopped lounging on the car – no Ferrari was harmed in the taking of the photograph. Rolled (as issued) this excellent original 1986 British video poster presents very well and represents a scarce item of collectable cinematic and motoring memorabilia…“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”
Trivia: John Hughes personally selected the songs for the film. He wanted them to be somewhat obscure to the typical moviegoing audience, feeling that he wanted everything about the film to feel new. For example, the song heard when the Ferrari is revealed for the first time (and during the final scene) is “Oh Yeah” by Swiss band Yello. The song was not a hit after its first release, but its inclusion in this movie rapidly popularized it, prompting a re-release. It has since been used in dozens of other movies and series, often in scenes featuring a desirable object or person.

Flat and unfolded (as issued) this excellent original 1986 publicity still presents exceptionally well and is presented in a custom made black frame finished with UV plexiglass and represents a very collectable and displayable item of movie memorabilia. “Life moves pretty fast. Any paper for this title is extremely sought after and also ultra scarce, with this being the first time we have ever offered a one-sheet for sale – and we are delighted that it is a country of origin example, which has always been a personal favourite of mine. An absolutely stunning Japanese B2 film poster for one of the greatest cult horror movies ever made…Frank Henenlotter‘s “Frankenhooker”. Featuring incredible country unique artwork, this really is one of the best examples created for this cult horror-comedy title. Any paper for this title is extremely sought after and also ultra scarce, with this being the first time we have ever offered something for sale – and we are delighted that it is this Japanese B2, which has always been a personal favourite of mine. The finish is superb with neon, pink, green and blues popping from the paper (this day-glo effect is further enhanced by the high gloss finish – this does make it hard to photograph) Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents scarce cinematic movie memorabilia for a film that has become one of the most desirable titles of the genre…“She’s hot.
