Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. Of all the different variations for a “Jaws” poster, this alternative movie poster by Thai artist Kwow for Stephen Spielberg’s “Jaws” is a spectacular display of imaginative artwork. Kwow’s impressive artwork beautifully portrays the most memorable scenes from the film and is beautifully complemented by some amazing realistic likenesses of the main cast members – Quint (Robert Shaw), Chief Brody (Roy Scheider) and Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss). Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

This artist signed and hand-numbered (#19/25) limited edition Artist Proof print by Graham Humphreys is a real eye-catcher and is considered one of the best and most desirable currently produced; incredible character driven imagery of Chief Brody, Quint, Hooper and of course the 25ft great white shark. When it comes to amazing alternative movie posters, this limited edition art print by Laurent Durieux is a real eye-catcher and more along the lines of a travel poster as ‘Martha’s Vineyard Welcomes You’. There are a lot of alternative ‘Jaws’ posters on the market with this 2020 offering considered one of the best and most desirable with beautiful imagery. This wonderful design, featuring the second on screen victim – Alex Kitner is very clever as Alex is seen running on the Amity beach, the sea in the background and if you look closely the black Labrador Pippin about to run into the sea and meet his grisly fate. Look closer and you see an additional easter egg as one of the kites flying high above the beach resembles a black shark’s fin; a nod to Durieux’s earlier 2013 Jaws poster where the same fin is shown on a sunshade. This originally rolled, unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect. Durieux’s style is unmistakable with perfect, colours and composition. A truly outstanding and extremely rare art print that represents an impressive item of highly sought after modern movie memorabilia.

Trivia: Unused music composed for this film was later used by Ennio Morricone in Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight (2015). Ironically, Morricone’s Thing score was nominated for a Razzie for worst score, while his score for Hateful Eight won him an Oscar.

A beautiful alternative movie poster by Hero Complex Gallery SIGNED BY SIX OF THE CAST and featuring the incredible horror artwork of Vance Kelly for one of the best vampire films ever made…Joel Schumacher’s “The Lost Boys”. This 2018 hand-numbered (#61/325) limited edition release is a proper horror poster as leader of The Lost Boys – David (Kiefer Sutherland) is the main focus with his vampire family and would be vampire hunters blended into the background and printed using an incredible colour palette of blood reds inks. For a nice finishing flourish, Kelly has cleverly framed his subjects in a V (for vampire) design. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and has been signed by six of the cast, who in addition to their name have added their character or a quote; Kiefer Sutherland – David, Jason Patric – Michael, Alex Winter – Marko, Billy Wirth – Dwayne, Tim Cappello (saxophone player) – I still believe is and G Tom Mac – Cry Little Sister. An impressive piece of horror poster artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster that with the addition of the signatures makes for an incredible piece of memorabilia. This is THE teenage angst vampire movie with this high grade poster showcasing the teen vampires in all their undead glory…“Something I never could stomach about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires!”

Trivia: In the cave of the Lost Boys, you can see a poster of Jim Morrison, who recorded the original version of “People are Strange” with The Doors. Also, when Star and Laddie are being carried into Sam’s room, you can see a poster of Echo & The Bunnymen, who recorded the version used in the movie.

“Let the festivities begin”
Titled “The May Queen” this impressive giclee art print inspired by Ari Aster’s cult classic horror film “MidSommar” features the beautiful and intricate artwork of Ukrainian artist Ann Bembi, who’s photo-realistic style perfectly suits the content. With shades of “Wicker Man” the bright colours and sea of flowers can’t hide the anguish and fear of lead actress Florence Pugh (Dani). A lovely alternative movie poster for this slow-burn pagan horror that has a rapidly growing cult following. Available for a strictly limited one-hour time window on April 5th 2022 when 580 were ordered, with the poster here being hand-numbered #222. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an outstanding piece of horror genre movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The practice of ättestupa is effectively a myth. As depicted in the movie, the elderly were expected to sacrifice for the good of the village, maintaining efficiency.

“If it doesn’t scare you, you’re already dead!”
In 1968 George A. Romero released the zombie classic “Night of the Living Dead”. The one-sheet poster that accompanied the release is a true icon of poster design using zombie footage from the movie and printed using black, white and lurid green imagery. The original poster has been reworked and sharpened up in 2024 by Bottlneck Gallery and ISH with colour separations by a true master of his craft – Jason Edmiston, who used the all red style, replicating the look of the 10th Anniversary (1978) one-sheet design. The studio had this to say on the release “George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead helped create the walking dead genre of film, and the original one-sheet movie poster is as bold and iconic now as it was in the late ‘60s. We worked with ISH and artist extraordinaire Jason Edmiston to revive the original one-sheet theatrical poster art in order to create an officially licensed, and horrifyingly awesome, screen print edition! The poster features bold design aesthetics with the title and credit work, all dutifully reanimated by Jason’s deft hand.” Presented in excellent unrestored, originally rolled (as issued) condition this variant edition is hand-numbered #6/100 and comes printed in a deep blood red colour tone. A highly desirable example of cinema memorabilia from perhaps the most influential horror film of the modern era.

In 2023 artist, Paul Mann created the first of his ‘Living Dead’ trilogy and it’s fair to say he has produced a stunning alternative movie poster. A truly striking image that is perfectly suited to the portrait format of this edition. This limited edition art print is hand-numbered #26 from a print run of 150. With incredible likenesses of all the major cast, it is the trowel wielding zombie Karen Cooper (Kyra Schon) who takes centre stage with the use of lurid green coloured inks only adding to the eerie effect of this edition. This excellent example presents and displays near perfectly and represents a fantastic piece of collectable movie memorabilia from one of the most influential horror film’s ever made.

“Act like you own the place…”
Through films like Okja and Snowpiercer, director Bong Joon Ho has dazzled audiences with his unique knack for blending genres to tell layered, one-of-a-kind stories and now in the South Korean black comedy thriller “Parasite” he is receiving the critical and commercial acclaim he so richly deserves. To complement the Oscar success the hugely respected alternative movie poster printer Mondo commissioned Rory Kurtz to design a poster to complement the success. Winning four (4) Oscars at the 2020 ceremony, including Best Picture, Directing, International Feature Film and Writing (Original Screenplay). Kurtz’ artwork captures the seemingly picture-perfect moment between the happily rich Parks completely oblivious to what’s unfolding around them, and the Kim family relegated to the shadows struggling with their own complex feelings toward such wealth and privilege. This is a limited edition timed released, hand-numbered #616/2120. The example offered here presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued) with incredibly strong colours. Trivia: The film makes several nods to Alfred Hitchcock throughout. Stairs are used as a motif, voyeurism is used as characters watch scenes through windows 14 times, and (most obviously) there is a brief glimpse of an out of place Alfred Hitchcock collection in the Park’s home.

A superb and eye-catching alternative movie poster by Graham Humphreys’ for “Planet Terror”, Robert Rodriguez‘ homage to the ‘Grindhouse’ movies of the Seventies. A clever, stylish design as heroes, zombies and monsters adorn the background with a centre-piece which focuses on the iconic Rose McGowan‘s ‘machine gun legged’ character – Cherry Darling. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition with amazingly vibrant colour tones this hand-numbered Artist Proof edition from 2021 is hand-numbered #AP 2/5 and has been signed by Graham Humphrey’s that represents a an amazing piece of cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Michael Parks reprises his character as Sheriff Earl McGraw in Planet Terror (2007). He also played Sheriff Earl McGraw in Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), as well as Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004).

One of the best films of the 1980’s and certainly one of Schwarzenegger’s finest roles, “Predator“ is a film I’ve seen more times than I care to remember. Directed by John McTiernan, who would go on to helm “Die Hard” the following year (arguably the greatest action movie ever made), the film is an excellent mix of gung-ho action and sci-fi horror with a truly iconic monster (designed by Stan Winston). The rare alternative movie poster offered here is from the 2025 release and was created as a private commission piece by the talented Thai artist, Wiwat. With a very limited print run of only 40 this has been hand-numbered #32. Showcasing a unique and visually striking design and produced using the screen print technique, the imagery captures the essence of the Predator in a bold and dynamic style. Perfect for fans of the franchise or collectors of art inspired by the Predator. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents a fine piece of collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The Predator costume weighed over two hundred pounds, and even though 7’2″ Kevin Peter Hall was a large and powerful man, he had to be connected to a “bungie” rig, to enable him to move more believably.
