“Diamonds Are Forever” Japanese STB/Tatekan film poster, presented in totally original unrestored condition. An absolutely beautiful 1971 original movie poster for Sean Connery’s final (official) outing as Ian Fleming’s super-spy James Bond 007 in Guy Hamilton’s “Diamonds Are Forever”. Robert McGinnis was commissioned to provide the initial imagery and (in my opinion) created one of the finest Bond posters ever with the format of the Japanese tatekan my favourite way to display McGinnis’ artwork – the central figures are highlighted and the oversized 007 logo never lets you forget you are going to see a James Bond movie. McGinnis’ detailed and stylish illustrations perfectly capture the whole ‘action, adventure, glamour’ Bond theme; pretty much the ‘perfect’ 007 poster as Bond travels the globe from Amsterdam to the casinos and neon lights of Las Vegas. Incredibly hard to source in this high grade condition, whether it’s the coloured inks or the type of paper used, the colours are incredible rich with real depth and saturation. This originally unfolded, rolled (as issued) example presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a fine example of a scarce and extremely collectable James Bond vintage movie poster.
Trivia: Sir Sean Connery made the most of his time on-location in Las Vegas: “I didn’t get any sleep at all. We shot every night, I caught all the shows and played golf all day. On the weekend I collapsed, boy, did I collapse. Like a skull with legs.” He also played the slot machines, and once delayed a scene because he was collecting his winnings.

“Far Up…Far Out…Far More..”
An outstanding first year of release Japanese STB/Tatekan movie poster for George Lazenby‘s one & only appearance as Ian Fleming’s super spy James Bond in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. A magnificent, James Bond poster with bold vibrant colours and a combination of intricate and detailed all-action artwork combining the artwork of Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis with photographic imagery. Immediately recognisable as a Bond film and at almost 5′ tall it’s truly impressive. Genuinely rare, the tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. Offered in two sections as distributed to cinema and presented unrestored in original rolled condition this example displays to superb effect and represents a fantastic piece of collectable James Bond cinematic memorabilia from one of the most respected entries in this long running franchise.
Trivia: George Lazenby suggested a scene where Bond skis off a cliff and opens a parachute. This was scrapped, as the filmmakers lacked the resources to pull it off. It was used as the opening for The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

“A roaring rampage of revenge”
Quentin Tarantino’s 4th Film…“Kill Bill” is a bloody, revenge driven, martial arts epic. Released in 2003 it proved a huge success and much like previous Tarantino movie merchandising the film posters became very collectable. Uma Thurman is not your normal bride and she is featured here expertly wielding her signature Katana sword on this stylish first year of release, 2003 Japanese B2 film poster with imagery that features both English and Japanese text – for me, this really fits the vibe of the movie. Offered in original rolled (as issued) condition, this super example presents to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear and represents a very cool and eye-catching piece of Quentin Tarantino movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The Bride’s yellow outfit was inspired by the outfit worn by Bruce Lee in his final film, Game of Death (1978).

“The Bride is back for the final cut…and She will Kill Bill”
The ‘Bride’ dressed as a bride for Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” sequel, the imaginatively titled “Kill Bill: Volume 2”. Uma Thurman is not your normal bride though as she is expertly wielding a Katana sword. This is a stylish looking 2004 Japanese B2 film poster with artwork unique to Japan. The black background with bright pink dayglo lettering makes for an interesting combination that really works. Offered in original rolled (as issued) condition, this fine example presents to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear and represents a very cool and eye-catching piece of Quentin Tarantino movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The boots Uma Thurman has on when she is buried alive are the same boots that Michael Madsen used in Reservoir Dogs (1992) when he cut off the police officer’s ear. The same straight razor is also used.

The rarest of the rare, (as predominantly printed in English) with a very low print run, that’s what this original 1971 Japan B2 film poster for “Le Mans” is. Quite frankly one of the finest Steve McQueen motor-racing images ever produced. Originally rolled this example presents near perfectly; Genuinely very very scarce and becoming hard to find due to the Film’s very limited release in it’s day. Now an iconic and much admired motor racing movie showing just why Steve McQueen was the true King of Cool ! Highly recommended and rarely offered in such high grade condition this represents a fantastic example of McQueen, motor-racing & cinematic memorabilia .

Trivia: Steve McQueen‘s blood type (Group O, Reh D neg) is shown on the back of his helmet. This was common at the time and drivers would show blood types either on the helmets or clothing.

Incredibly rare original 1971 “Le Mans” film poster. This stunning original Japan B2 film poster is quite frankly one of the best posters (whatever the country) available for this iconic McQueen movie…Originally rolled this example presents near perfectly; Genuinely scarce and becoming very hard to find due to the very limited release in it’s day. Now an iconic and much admired sports film showing just why Steve McQueen was the true King of Cool…Highly recommended and genuinely scarce in such outstanding high grade condition; a personal favourite not only for being one of the best cinematic images of McQueen but also as a huge watch collecting buff it’s great to see him sporting the historic TAG Heuer “Monaco” chronograph. This example with it’s country unique Japanese design represents a fantastic example of McQueen, motor-racing, horological & cinematic memorabilia .

Trivia: The crashing Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512 were actually outdated Lola T70’s ‘made up’ to look like a 917 and a 512, since it was out of the question to sacrifice one of these priceless cars. The fake Ferrari was remote-controlled.

Original Japanese B3 Nakazuri film poster for the Led Zeppelin concert rockumentary “The Song Remains The Same”…With musical scenes filmed at New York’s Madison Square Gardens this is the definitive film of the greatest rock band ever. A absolutely stunning Japanese B2 film poster for one of the best vampire films ever made…Joel Schumacher’s “The Lost Boys”. Featuring country unique artwork by the Japanese artist Akira Yokoyama, this really is one of the best examples created for this cult horror-comedy title. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents to excellent effect. This is THE teenage angst vampire movie with this high grade poster showcasing the teen vampires in all their undead glory…“Something I never could stomach about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires!”
Trivia: In the cave of the Lost Boys, you can see a poster of Jim Morrison, who recorded the original version of “People are Strange” with The Doors. Also, when Star and Laddie are being carried into Sam’s room, you can see a poster of Echo & The Bunnymen, who recorded the version used in the movie.

A beautiful, colourful masterpiece of a poster for Walt Disney’s beloved tale of the boy who never grew up “Peter Pan”. Originally premiered in 1953 this impressive Japanese B2 is from the 1975 re-release in Japan and focuses on the titular ‘Peter’. As you would expect from a Disney offering artwork is of the highest quality and colours truly bright and vibrant featuring a full length Peter Pan with marvellous border art of the supporting characters; Captain Hook, Smee, Tinkerbell 9I love the way she has been positioned on Peter’s shoulder), Wendy, Nana and the Darling children. Originally rolled (as issued) and unrestored this beautiful example presents very well and displays to excellent effect with colourful imagery exclusively created for this Japanese re-release. A fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved Disney classic.
Trivia: JRR Tolkien (The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings fame) was a huge Peter Pan fan. Neverland and the Lost Boys had a definite impact on Middle-earth; Peter Pan himself particularly influenced the elves.

The rare and original Japanese B2 film poster offered here is the ‘Cast’ style from first year of release 1987 with ‘Dutch’ (Schwarzenegger) prominent and a photo montage of the other leading actors in a design that is unique to Japan. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 masterpiece “Pulp Fiction” and like so many of the Tarantino films the paper from each has become hugely collectable, but it is the posters from “Pulp Fiction” that are easily the most popular and valuable. The Japanese B2 film poster offered here is no exception. This Style A “white” version features a design unique to Japan with the John Travolta & Uma Thurman key ‘dance off’ scene as the central focus and Bruce Willis as the back drop with Travolta (again) as hitman Vincent Vega in the foreground. It is also the only poster to feature head shot photographs of the main cast (running down the left edge). Unique artwork and very cool looking this is a fantastic original poster for Quentin Tarantino’s most celebrated film to date. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a fantastic piece of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie…“I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband, your boss, told you to take ME out and do WHATEVER I WANTED.
