Celebrating it’s 20 year anniversary in 2000 was perhaps the best British movie ever made…John MacKenzie’s “The Long Good Friday”. Re cut and remastered for this event it also had a brand new poster commissioned for what was an extremely limited release. This original UK quad film poster from 2000 is superb; great, graphic image from the Film’s most memorable scene as gangster boss Harold Shand (Bob Hoskins) interrogates his rivals (who are upside down at the time hanging from hooks) in a meat locker. Incredibly scarce , a much rarer poster than any from the original release (with arguably far superior imagery) this extremely hard to find version is a modern classic. Presented rolled in investment grade condition it displays almost faultlessly and presents a fantastic item of ‘modern’ film movie memorabilia…“The Mafia? I’ve shit ’em”

Trivia: The celebrated line: “There’s a lot of dignity in that, going out like a raspberry ripple”, was improvised by Bob Hoskins. The original line by Barrie Keeffe was “going out like a choc ice”, but everyone agreed Hoskins’ version was funnier.
