“Charlie”, Malcolm Needs’ Brit-Gangster film loosely based on the life and times of notorious London gangster Charlie Richardson and his gang. The original UK quad film poster to accompany the 2004 release features a striking close up of ‘Charlie’ played by Luke Goss. Like many small studio independent releases the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema showings is truly scarce. Originally rolled this incredibly scarce example displays to excellent effect and represents a highly sought after piece of collectible film movie memorabilia presented in superb condition.

“Sex… Power… Too much money… What do you get a ‘Prince’ that has everything?”…Photographs truly do not do justice to this poster, it looks fantastic…Real quality design and execution from Ignition Print. Based upon the “true story” well truish of Prince Uday Hussein (Sadam’s son) body double, this original US One Sheet for Lee Tamahori’s 2011 “The Devil’s Double” displays superbly. Rolled and probably unused it is presented here in INVESTMENT GRADE condition.

In exceptional rolled condition this looks fantastic. Featuring the design talents of B.Newhart, M.Crawford, A.Goldschmidt & T.Keller. Great cool image of Bond’s smoking gun ! “Reservoir Dogs” has become a classic of independent film making and a cult classic being named “Greatest Independent Film of all Time” by the highly respected film magazine, Empire. This Japanese B2 combines the ‘Let’s go to work’ imagery and the highly sought after Marc Zaref artwork from the Cannes Film Festival one-sheet. From first year of release in Japan, 1993 this rolled (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect in original & unrestored condition. Tarantino paper is particularly sought after and this scarce poster represents a fantastic opportunity to obtain a truly high grade item of collectible original film poster memorabilia.
Trivia: In the commentary track on the True Romance DVD, Quentin Tarantino says that Tony Scott read both the “True Romance” and “Reservoir Dogs” scripts, and told Tarantino he wanted to direct “Reservoir Dogs”. Tarantino told him he could have “True Romance”, but that he himself was going to direct “Reservoir Dogs”.

Laurent Durieux’s 2018 screen print for Michael Cimino’s The Deer Hunter (1978). Released by Nautilus Art Prints, this print is signed and hand-numbered #43 from a limited print run of 375. It was voted Expresso Beans’ cinema poster of the year in 2018. Printed using eleven colour inks, Durieux’s illustration is a split mirror image composition showing Robert De Niro’s character Michael hunting in the tranquil mountains of Pennsylvania, and as a soldier in war torn Vietnam beset by explosions and helicopters. Beautiful colours and clever composition make for an impressive poster. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and is an impressive piece of stylish poster artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster.
Trivia: According to Michael Cimino, Robert De Niro requested a live cartridge in the revolver for the scene in which Michael subjects Stanley to an impromptu game of Russian Roulette, to heighten the intensity of the situation. John Cazale agreed without protest, but obsessively rechecked the gun before each take, to make sure that the live round wasn’t next in the chamber.

Receiving a very limited release in UK cinemas (it was nearly never released due to financial problems & only saved as a cinematic production by George Harrison, with his Handmade Films stepping in at the 11th hour) meant that any paper is scarce, making this original 1980 UK quad film poster a rare find especially in such high grade condition. Featuring stark black & white country unique design & artwork this excellent unrestored example presents near perfectly.
