“A man went looking for America. And couldn’t find it anywhere . . .”
Rarely is a reissue poster more highly treasured than the original release, but this is “Easy Rider” one-sheet is one such title. In the 1969 campaign, the studio chose to play down the ‘biker flick’ theme, with only a daydreaming Peter Fonda in profile, no motorcycle insight. As the film was a chopper-thundering success, when paper for the re-release was launched in 1972, the studio showed no further hesitation, capitalising on the famous image of Fonda and Dennis Hopper rollin’ down the highway on their Harley motorbikes. Perhaps the best news for collectors and poster lovers alike is that they maintained the concept of the original poster, printing in the same soft yellow colour with the same soft-focus texturing. This allows the original and the reissue to be the perfect complement to each other. An absolute must-have example with an iconic design and use of bold colours (deep black and bright yellow in this case) which literally do ‘pop’ out from from the paper of this stunning original country of origin American poster. Trivia: During Jack Nicholson‘s “UFO” speech, Dennis Hopper was intent on getting him very stoned on marijuana. The laughing that eventually broke up his speech was not planned, and when Nicholson repeats the line “it . . . it . . . would be devastating . . . ” it was the next take. However, Nicholson was largely able to stick to the script as written, much to the crew’s amazement. This is a stark contrast to the other cast members, who improvised most of their lines.

Tom Cruise is one of the greatest movie stars in cinema history and certainly one of the most energetic and action centric actors, so it’s no surprise that in 2014 he took on a project that he was perfectly suited. Set in a war torn future, Cruise’s character Cage is a man fighting in a war against aliens and must relive the same day every time he dies until he can find a way to stop them invading the Earth. “Edge of Tomorrow” is a very clever, stylish (the exo-battle suits look super cool) time travel movie with some incredible action set pieces. The imagery featured here by Graphic design agency Concept Arts (regular collaborators with Cruise) on this 2014 US one sheet features both Cruise and Emily Blunt (she plays the elite warrior – Rita, who mentors Cruise) in full battle mode. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular cinema’s most loved actors.
Trivia: Tom Cruise didn’t want the exo-suits to be too CGI, so it would be more real to the audience. He showed up two months early to research and develop the suit. He thought its weapons were fun and cool. Emily Blunt was unprepared for the weight of the suit which was between 85-90 pounds, and the armaments between 120-125 pounds.

Tim Burton seems like the only being on the planet who could come with characters such as the ones found in “Edward Scissorhands” The film is literally a tale likely to be found in a child’s dreams. It creates a world of its own, inhabiting unforgettable characters, events that should be shared with generations This film is a visual masterpiece; a movie that deserves its reputation as a timeless “Burtonesque” classic. This original 1990 US one-sheet perfectly captures all of Burton’s stylish elements. Outstanding character driven design featuring the scissor-handed Edward and his love – Winona Ryder. This superb rolled (as issued) example looks beautiful and displays to superb effect, representing a a fantastic piece of original cinematic movie memorabilia for an innovative and popular film maker.
Trivia: Edward’s hair is based on Robert Smith of The Cure‘s hair.

A rare, original UK quad film poster from original year of release 1966 for “Fantastic Voyage”, featuring some truly impressive artwork and design by Tom Beauvais. Beauvais’ use of strong, bold colours and all-action imagery is impressive and particularly desirable as it was only ever used for the British release. One of the most inventive science fiction epics of the 1960s, Richard Fleischer directed Raquel Welch and the rest of the miniaturised cast on an adventure inside the human body. Originally folded (as issued) and now presented conservation linen backed. The backing has been completed to a very high standard and this standout piece now appears rolled. A personal favourite, and an extremely collectable and rare film poster from a superior sci-fi adventure with ground breaking special effects that is still regarded as a highly regarded classic.
Trivia: A now defunct thrill ride at Disney’s Epcot Center, called “Body Wars”, was largely inspired by this movie, even though it is not a Disney movie. Director Richard Fleischer, however, also directed Disney’s first science fiction movie, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954).

Any paper for this title is extremely sought after and also ultra scarce, with this being the first time we have ever offered a one-sheet for sale – and we are delighted that it is a country of origin example, which has always been a personal favourite of mine. Any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable, even when it features the newest assassin on the block – Ana de Armas is perfectly cast as the revenge seeking Eve in Len Wiseman’s “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina”. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and for this release, the creative arts agency BOND have produced a teaser poster that’s pretty spectacular, with a close-up dark and moody image of de Armas. Offered here is the advance US one-sheet, eye-catching and distinctive with its bold use of purples, blues with a touch of neon. A colourful and action packed cyber-punk offering from director Rupert Sanders that is very much mirrored in the design of the original US one-sheet movie poster by creative arts agency LA offered here. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect; absolutely stunning with an almost neon colour palette. Hall H, Comicon 2012 and Marvel Studios is again breaking box-office records, this time with the super hero blockbuster “The Avengers”. Riding the wave of success sequels to the hugely successful Captain America & Thor movies are announced as the assembled audience goes wild with anticipation…then an audible gasp, as the third film for 2014 is revealed, what ? “Guardians of the Galaxy” ? … A bizarre assembly of misfits and losers which includes a gun-wielding genetically altered raccoon and a fighting tree creature whose could only speak a single phrase…“I am Groot”. Marvel was taking a chance, but needn’t have worried…Guardians was critical and commercial juggernaut which redefined the super hero genre and direction Marvel was to take. Because of the ‘risk’ factor the advertising budget was not as extravagant as the studios previous offerings, making paper from the film genuinely a lot a scarcer than Iron Man, Thor, Avengers etc. Hence the rarity for any of the film posters produced to accompany the release. Based on photographs by Michael Mueller, design agency BLT Communications certainly pushed the right buttons and created a stunning all-action, epic poster for this 2014 one-sheet. An amazing spectrum of purple and blue colours and frantic energy, it is a great looking image. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear, absolutely stunning. Guaranteed original this represents a scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting and cool film.
Trivia: According to James Gunn, the film’s soundtrack is composed mainly of 1970s and 1980s songs, as they are part of Quill’s memories of Earth: “The music is one of those touchstones we have to remind us that Quill is a real person from planet Earth who’s just like you and me, except that he’s in this big outer space adventure.”
