“David Lynch’s most bizarre movie to date”
The thing that’s great about “Lost Highway” is there is no absolute solution to the events in the film, everything about the film is open to interpretation and after you watch it you either need to thing and talk about it for a couple of hours or watch it again. In “Mulholland Drive”, people say that it needs to be watched twice to be fully understood. “Lost Highway” needs to be watched about 3 or 4 time to be slightly understood and will probably never be fully understood. All the clues are there in the film but to include all of them to make sense is very difficult. However it is very rewarding to try and find out the meaning of “Lost Highway”.With stark minimal design this original 1997 US One Sheet movie poster for looks stunning. With simple, distinctive, eye-catching imagery, featuring eye-catching half and half imagery of Bill Pullman and Patricia Arquette this original rolled (as issued) example presents superbly. A scarce film poster from one of Cinema’s most revered cult directors.
Trivia: According to co-writer and director David Lynch, the first scene in the film is based on an incident that occurred in his own life. He claims his intercom buzzed early one morning and when he answered it, a voice on the other end that he didn’t recognize said, “Dick Laurant is dead.” However, by the time he got to the front of the house to look out the window, there was no one outside.

Original Gramercy Pictures country of origin, one-sheet movie poster for the slapstick Kevin Smith romantic comedy, “Mallrats” starring Shannen Doherty, Jeremy London, Claire Forlani and Jason Lee. All of whom are featured on this 1995 comic book style film poster by Drew Struzan. This is the story of two friends who both lose their girlfriends on the same day and spend the rest of the day hanging out in a local mall with their wacky friends. With a clever design, Struzan does a great job of representing the characters, making them instantly recognisable; the addition of Stan Lee is a nice touch and he looks particularly cool. It displays to excellent effect and is presented in unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition. A rare high grade item of movie memorabilia for a very collectable ‘cult’ comedy film.
Trivia: Brodie’s comic book collection seen in the movie was director Kevin Smith‘s collection at the time (which has grown considerably since). The collection is what Smith was able to purchase back after selling his original collection to finance production of Clerks (1994).

Truly one of the greatest gangster films ever made Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America. An epic, episodic, tale of the lives of a small group of New York City Jewish gangsters spanning over 40 years and thankfully it has a movie poster to match it. This original 1984 US one-sheet features beautiful atmospheric design with a fantastic image of the Brooklyn Bridge and sepia colours that are a perfect complement to Leone’s film. Originally folded (as issued) this rare example is presented in beautiful unrestored condition; it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an impressive example of very collectable original movie memorabilia from a multi award winning film and one of cinema’s leading directors.
Trivia: Sergio Leone had refused the offer to direct The Godfather (1972), an opportunity he deeply regretted. This may have partly inspired him to try a gangster film. Leone has also notably used the flashback technique pioneered in The Godfather: Part II (1974).

There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence and impact of Quentin Tarantino with his ninth feature “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” his most anticipated as he presents his own unique take on the end of ‘Hollywood’s Golden Age’ as the notorious Manson Family murders spelt the end of the hippie era of ‘Peace & Love’. With incredibly high production values and unique design dynamics (QT personally supervises the selection process) it is difficult to imagine a Tarantino movie where any of the posters and merchandising produced isn’t so hugely collectable and sought after. The 2019 country of origin ‘Coming Soon’ US / International Style B one sheet offered here is no exception. Designed by creative arts agency WORKS ADV and intended to complement the Style A design which features Brad Pitt & Leonardo DiCaprio this is truly a striking poster featuring Margot Robbie who plays the ‘doomed’ Sharon Tate in the Film outside the famous Westwood Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie maker.
Trivia: Originally skeptical of the project, Sharon Tate’s sister Debra Tate gave the film and Margot’s portrayal of Sharon her blessing after Debra was embraced by Tarantino himself and became aware of how her sister would be represented within the film. Debra referred to Margot as a “dedicated craftsman,” and praised the actress’s research of Sharon prior to meeting with her.

With incredibly high production values and unique design dynamics (QT personally supervises the selection process) it is difficult to imagine a Tarantino movie where any of the posters and merchandising produced isn’t so hugely collectable and sought after. Tarantino hired three classic poster artists (Steven Chorney, Martin Duhovic, and Renato Casaro, who Tarantino had to coax out of retirement) to create four great wilding posters that are ‘faux’ posters, designed to look like they were from a movie that the lead character (Rick Dalton) had made in the 1970s. This particular poster was designed by Renato Casaro for the faux western movie “Uccidimi Subito Ringo, disse il Gringo” and looks magnificent in this large format. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie maker… “Hey! You’re Rick fucking Dalton, don’t you forget it.”

One of the best films of the 1980’s and certainly one of Schwarzenegger’s finest roles, “Predator“ is a film I’ve seen more times than I care to remember. Directed by John McTiernan, who would go on to helm “Die Hard” the following year (arguably the greatest action movie ever made), the film is an excellent mix of gung-ho action and sci-fi horror with a truly iconic monster (designed by Stan Winston). The rare and original Japanese B2 film poster offered here is the ‘Cast’ style from first year of release 1987 with ‘Dutch’ (Schwarzenegger) prominent and a photo montage of the other leading actors in a design that is unique to Japan. Considered a classic by Arnie’s legion of fans & collectors of the action / sci fi genre it is incredibly scarce in this format. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 masterpiece “Pulp Fiction” and like so many of the Tarantino films the paper from each has become hugely collectable. The country of origin US one sheet offered here is no exception. This popular and most recognisable design by Indika Entertainment Advertising is truly striking and features beautiful Uma Thurman imagery. Very cool looking, this is a fantastic original poster from Quentin Tarantino’s most celebrated film to date. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a hugely collectible piece of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie…“I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband, your boss, told you to take ME out and do WHATEVER I WANTED. Now I wanna dance, I wanna win. I want that trophy, so dance good.”
Trivia: Uma Thurman originally turned down the role of Mia Wallace. Quentin Tarantino was so desperate to have her as Mia, he ended up reading her the script over the phone, finally convincing her to take on the role.

Originally rolled (as issued) this super rare example is an Private Proof (PP #15/15) presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie…“I’m sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn’t mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What’s the matter? Oh, you were finished! Well, allow me to retort. What does Marsellus Wallace look like?”

This original 1991 British Quad film poster is a steam punk art-deco delight featuring the incredible artwork of John Mattos. Truly beautiful imagery that’s perfectly suited to the Republic Pulp Serial approach of Joe Johnston’s “Rocketeer”. Based upon Dave Stevens’ graphic comic novel the Walt Disney Studio produced an enjoyable stylised romp set in the early days of pulp comics and superheroes that quickly became a cult favourite. The Advance film poster offered here is by far the most sought after of paper produced for the Film as it’s all artwork with just the title. The landscape format perfectly suits John Mattos’ dynamic super hero artwork. This unrestored, original rolled (as issued) example displays to excellent effect. Genuinely scarce and highly desirable, not just to film buffs (the art-deco design appeals to number of collectors) this superb piece represents a fantastic piece of desirable film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Artist and creator of the ‘Rocketeer’ Dave Stevens played the man in the test flight movie, who has the rocket pack strapped to his back (the test pilot).
