  • James Bond: The Living Daylights Film Poster

    James Bond: The Living Daylights

    £795.00

“The New James Bond…Living on the edge…It’s the only way he lives”

1987 was the end of a historic movie tradition as Brian Bysouth produced the last artist drawn painted James Bond film poster (Fascinating Brian Bysouth interview with Eddie Shannon of Film on Paper) for Timothy Dalton’s 007 debut as “The most dangerous Bond…Ever” in “The Living Daylights”Bysouth has used the classic image of Bond viewed through the end of a gun barrel to fine effect and further embellished the finished design with great action scenes and marvellous renditions of the latest Bond-girl, Maryam d’Abo and of course the classic Aston Martin (in this case a V8 Vantage Volante). The original 1987 UK (country of origin) quad movie poster offered here is presented  in high grade unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition and perfectly suited to the landscape style for which it was designed for. Colours are bright and unfaded, the black background a deep black and the white areas truly bright. Hugely desirable and very collectable, it would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond cinematic movie memorabilia.

Trivia: This was the last James Bond film to use an original Ian Fleming title until Casino Royale (2006), a gap of almost twenty years.

1987 was the end of a historic movie tradition as Brian Bysouth produced the last artist drawn painted James Bond film poster (Fascinating Brian Bysouth interview with Eddie Shannon of Film on Paper) for Timothy Dalton’s 007 debut as The most dangerous Bond…Ever” in “The Living Daylights”. It’s a hard act to follow but artist Mark Murphy certainly comes very, very close with this stunning alternative movie poster from 2023. The action-packed artwork features all the classic imagery you’d expect to see in a Bond film, 007 dressed in a tuxedo, exotic location, gadgets, a beautiful, glamorous woman – Maryam D’Arbo and a life threatening scenario. James Bond: The Living Daylights

    £195.00

“The New James Bond…Living on the edge…It’s the only way he lives”

1987 was the end of a historic movie tradition as Brian Bysouth produced the last fully drawn painted James Bond film poster (Fascinating Brian Bysouth interview with Eddie Shannon of Film on Paper) for Timothy Dalton’s 007 debut as “The most dangerous Bond…Ever” in “The Living Daylights”. The first advance teaser poster preceding this was the work of photographer Keith Hamshere as he gave us our first look at Roger Moore’s replacement – Timothy Dalton. Dalton’s colder, grittier portrayal of Bond in “The Living Daylights” is considered by many fans of the franchise to be the closest and most faithful to the characterisation of Bond from the original novels by lan Fleming. The original 1987 UK (country of origin) movie poster offered here is presented  in exceptional unrestored, rolled (as issued) unfolded condition with bright and unfaded, crisp colour tones. Hugely desirable and very collectable, it would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia.

Trivia: The casting of Frederick Warder and Glyn Baker as 004 and 002 was intentional, due to their resemblance to George Lazenby and Sir Roger Moore, respectively. For the movie’s opening scene, the writers wanted to toy with the audience’s expectations of which of the 00 agents was Bond.

  • James Bond: Thunderball Poster

    James Bond: Thunderball

    £195.00

    “Bond drives an Aston…naturally”

“Thunderball” sees 007’s fourth screen outing as the action moves to the exotic Bahamas as the agent with a licence to kill tackles S.P.E.C.T.R.E’s Emilio Largo who is holding the world to ransom with two stolen nuclear warheads. This photo montage style Swiss one-sheet features striking mixture of key scenes and characters. I particularly like the large 007 logo with Connery silhouette which runs across the bottom. The design is exclusive to the 1970s Swiss re-release and not found anywhere else. Presented in excellent unrestored folded (as issued) condition this presents superbly with minimal handling wear and represents a fantastic piece of collectable James Bond cinematic memorabilia from the Sean Connery era.

Trivia: On October 27, 2010, the Aston Martin DB5 used in this movie and Goldfinger (1964) was sold, fully “loaded”, to American classic car collector Harry Yeaggy for a reported $4 million by London’s RM Auctions. The car had only one previous private owner, an American radio station owner named Jerry Lee, who purchased the car directly from the Aston Martin factory in 1969 for $12,000. Lee had kept the car at his Pennsylvania house for over forty years.

  • Jaws Movie Poster

    Jaws

    £95.00

“Y’all know me. Know how I earn a livin’. I’ll catch this bird for you, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Bad fish. Not like going down the pond chasin’ bluegills and tommycods. This shark, swallow you whole. Little shakin’, little tenderizin’, an’ down you go”

Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! Designed by The Seiniger Advertising Agency with finished artwork by Roger Kastel the poster has attained cult status. Once you’ve seen the film (& who hasn’t) you see the poster and you just can’t get John Williams’ distinctive soundtrack out of your head. This original one-sheer for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 masterpiece “Jaws” is for the September 9th 2022 re-release for IMAX cinema screens and a Real D 3D version. Although retaining the original artwork it has been slightly altered to denote this is, with a shark-bite evident on the ‘A’ of IMAX. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect. Perfect, deep rich colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare original film poster that is only available for this very limited cinematic release with the portrait style perhaps the most recognisable for the title. It presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a key item of highly sought after, collectable original movie memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”

Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

  • John Wick Movie Poster

    John Wick

    £195.00

“John Wick isn’t the Boogeyman… He’s the guy you send to kill the f*cking Boogeyman.

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and for the 2024 re-release the acclaimed Batman and comic book artist, Jock was commissioned to create something special for the 10th Anniversary, and he has not disappointed. Offered here is the Style B, US/International one-sheet for “John Wick” which features the ‘Baba-Yaga’ imagined in Jock’s unique style. Distinctive with its bold use of red and black colour, it really is an impressive looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Having a very limited cinematic release of only two days this is a truly scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !

Trivia: Keanu Reeves became so proficient in tactical training, that his instructors said he was almost TOO good, at performing many tasks, such as reloading a magazine, faster and better than professional soldiers would in live-fire combat situations.

    John Wick

    £895.00

“John Wick isn’t the Boogeyman… He’s the guy you send to kill the f*cking Boogeyman.

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series which has changed the way action movies are made has spawned (too date) three sequels, a documentary (Wick is Pain), a TV series (The Continental) and character spin-off movie with Ana de Armas as Ballerina. Complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters this example designed by creative arts agency LA which features ‘Baba-Yaga’ John Wick in close up aiming a gun is without doubt the rarest and most sought after. When first released in 2014 it took cinema audiences by surprise as they expected an another average action movie starring an unfashionable actor who hadn’t made a decent movie for years – JOHN WICK changed that overnight as Keanu let everyone know – “I’m thinkin’ I’m back” . Because of low Studio expectation the initial marketing budget was minimal which resulted in only a limited number of cinema posters printed – they are incredibly scarce. Offered here is an original, first release (2014), country of origin US one-sheet. Dark & moody, it really is an impressive and eye-catching design. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays superbly with minimal only handling wear; the dark shades of green, purples and blacks are deep and unfaded. This is the first time in over nine years that I have managed to source one. It truly is one of the most collectable movie posters in recent memory from a supremely influential action franchise that looks very very cool !

Trivia: The film reunites Keanu Reeves, Daniel Bernhardt, and Randall Duk Kim, along with producers-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, all of whom were involved in The Matrix Trilogy.

    John Wick

    £125.00

“That “fuckin’ nobody”… is John Wick. He once was an associate of ours. They call him “Baba Yaga.”

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and for the 2024 re-release this close-up dark and moody photographic image of Reeves was used to create something special for the 10th Anniversary. Offered here is the Style A, US/International one-sheet for “John Wick”. Distinctive with its bold use of a dark colour palette and extreme close-up headshot of Reeves, it really is an impressive looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Having a very limited cinematic release of only two days this is a truly scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !

  • John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

    £175.00

“Super-assassin John Wick is on the run after killing a member of the international assassin’s guild, and with a $14 million price tag on his head – he is the target of hit men and women everywhere.”

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and again the creative arts agency LA have not disappointed. Offered here is the 2019 Advance International/Thai one-sheet for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” which features ultra-assasin John Wick with ‘dog’ in the lounge of The Continerntal. Dark & moody, it really is a great looking poster design and for me the best from the movie with the photo not really doming justice to what is a stunning item. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear; the dark shades of blues, purples and blacks are deep and unfaded. A scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best new action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !

Trivia: The title “Parabellum” comes from the Latin phrase: “Si vis pacem, para bellum” which means “If you want peace, prepare for war.” It is also an alternate name for the ubiquitous 9mm handgun cartridge (“9mm Parabellum”). The phrase itself appears twice in the movie: it is tattooed on the back of the ballerina girl in the beginning, and Winston (Ian McShane) says it out loud later in the movie.

    Joker

    £145.00

“Put on a happy face !”

There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence of Batman’s arch nemesis The Joker with this latest offering looking to be the best yet. Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur ‘Joker’ Fleck in Todd Phillips’ “Joker”. A production hugely anticipated by the fans as he presents his own unique take on the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’. Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning ‘Coming Soon’ film poster for the 2019 US / International one sheet. This is the second poster (it has been dubbed the ‘Steps Style’ by fans) released for this critically acclaimed and commercially record breaking film and destined to become  as iconic as Phoenix’s portrayal of DC’s ‘anti-superhero’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised villains.

Trivia #1: The stairs in the movie are at 1170 Shakespeare Avenue, Bronx, New York with the footage of him dancing down them to the Gary Glitter song ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’ being used for the film, trailer and poster.

Trivia #2: The Joker’s make-up is very similar to John Wayne Gacy‘s, a serial killer who would often entertain children while dressed as Pogo the Clown. This make-up style was shunned by working clowns at the time, as they strictly prohibit “sharp” ends in their make-up, as it scares children.

A real statement piece and talking point – An ultra rare (this is the only one I have ever seen or offered for sale), large format US bus shelter size wilding poster that was solely used for advance publicity, being pasted on walls around town before the movie played. This is a true US release poster – note the R Ratings box and not one of the readily available Thai one-sheets, that (whether officially or unofficially) adopted this imagery.
