An absolutely stunning piece of alternative movie poster art by Matt Taylor. This is a sold out screen print for the Marvel Studios release “Captain Marvel” released by Mondo in 2019. The character depicted is the cosmically powered super-heroine Carol Danvers sporting her red, white, and blue Earth uniform. This is a hand numbered regular edition of 1725 with this being #1008. Originally flat & unfolded (as issued) this superb example displays to impressive effect (honestly the photo does not do this justice…needs to be seen), perfectly suited to this portrait format. Captain Marvel AKA Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) looks truly cosmic and takes centre stage in a full on ‘power’ pose. “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” is the film which Steven Spielberg says epitomises his career. A true classic for all ages. Spielberg chose a regular collaborator in the artist John Alvin to create the marketing poster, and it’s fair to say that he (along with design agency Intralink Film Graphic Design – taking inspiration from Michelangelo’s ‘Creation of Adam’ painting which adorns the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel) has produced one of the cinema’s classic, timeless posters, that is immediately recognisable as the finger tips of E.T. & Elliott touch to create that spark of friendship. Certainly the best example we have ever offered for sale and very hard to find in this outstanding rolled (as issued) condition and a marvellous item of truly collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Richard Attenborough later said that he felt bad that his own film, Gandhi (1982), beat this film to the Best Picture Academy Award because he considered his friend Steven Spielberg‘s film more deserving of the award and was convinced before the ceremony that it would win. Attenborough described E.T. as “a quite extraordinary piece of cinema”.

For the first Czech release in 1984 artist Zdenek Ziegler has produced a truly outstanding movie poster with an incredible image of E.T. himself. Certainly, an amazing example of the Eastern artistic style and very hard to find in this outstanding rolled (as issued) condition that represents a superb item of truly collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.

An outstanding and eye-catching original 2021 3D lenticular film poster print for John Carpenter’s horror, sci-fi classic “The Thing”. This magnificent example is incredibly rare, being one of only 150 produced – Alien terror never looked better than this, thanks to stunning imagery by acclaimed award winning movie poster artist Drew Struzan producing some of his finest work. Created in 2021 as a collaboration between Vice Press and Bottleneck Gallery (BNG) this example is the pure artwork style with no title or credits and printed onto 4mm polystyrene. As it’s flat and printed onto a solid surface it really is the best way to display the movement and depth of the lenticular design. This impressive ve alternative movie poster for John Carpenter’s sci-fi horror classic “The Thing” was created by Australian artist Florey and printed in 2021.
Florey’s striking artwork perfectly captures the isolation and paranoia of Carpenter’s film, with the frozen Antarctic landscape dominated by a fiery representation of the shape-shifting alien creature. MacReady is depicted walking towards us beneath the mass of flames, while the solitary figure silhouetted in the doorway adds to the sense of menace and uncertainty that runs throughout the film.
Released in 1982 and starring Kurt Russell as R.J. MacReady, “The Thing” was not a success on its original release but has since undergone a remarkable reassessment and is now regarded as one of the finest science-fiction horror films ever made. Rob Bottin’s extraordinary practical creature effects, Ennio Morricone’s atmospheric score and Carpenter’s masterful direction have helped the film become a genuine cult classic.
Printed in 2021, this alternative movie poster uses glow in the dark inks and comes from a limited edition of just 100 copies worldwide with this particular example hand-numbered 4/100.

A fine and clever film poster for Gareth Edwards’ ‘intelligent’ creature feature “MONSTERS”. Created by design agency ‘Hoo-Ha’ this original 2010 UK quad film poster is a good looking example and incredibly rare in this final release design ‘Awards/Review’ style. Extremely scarce, the advertising campaign was very low key for Gareth Edwards’ debut feature and the UK film posters that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release are in very short supply and truly hard to find. This originally rolled (as issued) film poster displays beautifully and is presented in excellent condition. Distinctive & eye-catching with the two main actors; Scoot McNair & Whitney Able stranded in the Mexican jungles of the quarantined ‘Infected Zone’. Some of best imagery seen on a modern poster it represents an extremely desirable piece of original movie memorabilia.
