“Ghost in the Shell” sees Scarlett Johansson star as Major Mira Killian, saved from a terrible crash, who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier in the American 2017 adaption of Shirow Masamune’s cult Japanese manga creation and anime movie. A colourful and action packed cyber-punk offering from director Rupert Sanders that is very much mirrored in the design of the original US one-sheet movie poster by creative arts agency LA offered here. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect; absolutely stunning with an almost neon colour palette. Trivia: The scene at the Yakuza bar where Batou drinks a beer served by a bartender with a mechanized arm is an homage to Ratz the bartender in “Neuromancer” by William Gibson who’s book is considered a heavy influence on cyberpunk.

“The sleaze-filled saga of an exploitation double feature”
Original country of origin, American one sheet for the Quentin Tarantino/Rodriguez 2007 double bill “Grindhouse”. Featuring “Death Proof” and “Planet Terror”. With design input by Rodriguez’ own Troublemaker Studios (the antiqued look which made “Pulp Fiction” look so cool!) and finishing touches by BLT Communications LLC this really is a stunning eye-catching poster and one of the best from recent years. Originally rolled (although it looks folded) this presents superbly. Only initially released uncut as “Grindhouse” in a handful of countries these double bill posters are very rare. Visual impact and design are key aspects of any Tarantino/Rodriguez production and this beautiful example perfectly illustrates that fact…“Why not just carry a knife instead of a gun? .. You know what happens to mutha fuckers who carry knives? They get shot!”
Trivia: In the “Death Proof” segment, the tank top Kurt Russell wore in Big Trouble in Little China (1986) can be seen hanging on the wall of the Texas Chili Parlor.

Originally folded (as all of these are) it looks & displays superbly…a Chirashi is an original Japanese film poster that’s double sided; image of the poster is on one side & the film’s details & extra photos printed on the other…A rare find in this format.

“Guardians of the Galaxy”… A bizarre assembly of misfits and losers which includes a gun-wielding genetically altered raccoon and a fighting tree creature whose could only speak a single phrase…“I am Groot”. Marvel was taking a chance, but needn’t have worried…Guardians was critical and commercial juggernaut which redefined the super hero genre and direction Marvel was to take. Being one of the most popular subjects for alternative movie posters, artist Ise Ananphada has created an incredible looking poster. Her hand-numbered #248/275 giclee screen print is a stunning piece that has captured the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and being a giclee print the colours have an amazing, vibrant finish. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely beautiful and a desirable item of modern collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting and cool film franchise.

Selling over one million units, this was one of the hottest items of Christmas 1977. The beep at the beginning is the “touchdown” sound, whilst the other beeps are the sound of the ball moving down the field.
What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

It truly is a stunning piece that has captured the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and being a giclee print the colours have an amazing, vibrant finish. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely stunning; the deep red / blue/purple colour range is superb. Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” features the Avenger Hawkeye and ‘New Avenger’ Kate Bishop in a Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame”. Jeremy Renner returns as the title character, joined by Hailee Steinfeld who plays the apprentice archer Kate Bishop (both are featured on the poster) and a strong supporting cast with perhaps Florence Pugh – the new Black Widow? returning as Yelena Belova as does one of Marvels’s most iconic villains with Vincent D’Onofrio donning his trademark white suit as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. Designed by the advertising agency Art Machine the imagery features both Hawkeye and Kate Bishop and as the second poster released to promote the TV series advises that the show would open with a two episode premiere on November 24th. Presented here in original unrestored condition this beautiful 2021 rolled (as issued) example displays to excellent effect with the minimal of handling wear. Only ever released as a one-sheet poster in the United States and printed exclusively for the US market to promote the first Season of “Hawkeye” this is a truly scarce poster and highly sought after that represents a fine addition for any collector of original Marvel Studio posters or comic book fan memorabilia.
