A very cool, stylish film poster from the mid 1960’s that perfectly typifies the period and the style of the artist; Bob Peak. A beautiful UK quad film poster for Gordon Douglas’ 1967 super-spy, James Bond parody sequel “In Like Flint”. This really is a fantastic looking poster ‘of the time’ – focusing on the star; James Coburn in his role as the super suave secret agent Derek Flint with colourful ‘swinging sixties’ stylised artwork. Peak’s similar film posters (“Modesty Blaise”, “Gambit”, “Our Man Flint” share this common style and concentrate on the stars all colourfully delineated then offset against a pale background. It is a style that works well and certainly impresses. Because of the white background (which marks easily & highlights the slightest defect) this poster is hard to find in high grade condition. The originally folded (as issued) unrestored example offered here has some very minimal handling & age wear but colours are bright and unfaded and the background a true bright white with no shading/ghosting to the fold lines. A fine investment grade piece that represents a very collectable piece of desirable original movie memorabilia.

Italian financing and production at its finest with an all-star (TV) cast filming on location in Brazil and Rio De Janeiro. Cashing in on his kudos as “The Six Million Dollar Man”, Majors is prominent on this British movie poster which contains a great mix of characters and action. The rare original UK quad film poster offered here is from first year of release 1979. Originally folded (as issued) this scarce unrestored example presents to excellent effect with impressive ‘B’ movie action monster art and bright vivid colours. A fine piece of very desirable collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved cult classic.
Brilliant interview with the artist Tom Beauvais by Eddie Shannon.
…more detailA scarce and beautiful example from a series of films financed and produced in Italy during the 1960’s and affectionately known as ‘sword and sandal’ dramas. “Monster From The Unknown World” (Atlas in the Land of the Cyclops) tells the story of strongman Maciste (for Maciste you could insert Samson, Hercules, Atlas etc) as he battles mythical beasts in the search for ancient justice. Camp (not necessarily the intention) and certainly of the time these series of films have developed a cult following and are particularly collectable. This original UK quad film poster for Antonio Leonviola’s “Monster From The Unknown World” is from first year of release 1961 and really is a stunning example of fantasy horror artwork which is unique to the British release. Very rare to find in such fine original unrestored condition; the colours are bright, vibrant & unfaded & really pop from the paper. This scarce, folded (as issued) unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents an extremely desirable piece of 1960’s British cinema memorabilia.

…more detailAn extraordinary and surreal masterpiece from Neil Jordan, “The Company of Wolves” is an allegory that examines the journey from innocence to adulthood in an adult re-telling of the much loved fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood”. Certainly a strange story; the mix of sexual symbolism, poetic beauty and gory horror moments seems a bit forced at times – but when it does work it’s utterly fascinating and you can see it has become such a cult film of the genre and well respected by fans of both horror and quality film making. Offered here is a rare 1984 first release country of origin UK quad film poster for this British film featuring an intricate design by Red Ranch with beautiful detailed border artwork by Alan Lee with the storybook illustration attributed to Andy Seymour. An extremely desirable movie poster from a ‘golden age’ of pre-CGI physical movie special effects and a period of superior werewolf inspired films that is presented in excellent original unrestored folded (as issued) condition and represents a fine example of rare and collectable original British horror movie memorabilia.

Quite honestly some of the finest poster artwork I have seen on a ‘modern’ poster. In these days of digital design it’s a pleasure to see and handle such a beautiful item. Designed by Jonny Halifax for Julien Temple’s film ‘The Ecstasy Of Wilko Johnson’, and winner of the SXSW 2015 Excellence in Poster Design Special Jury Recognition Award this is a special and very rare film poster. After the film’s cinematic premiere held in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust in London at the Picturehouse on Shaftesbury Avenue on 17th July 2015 it was only screened in a very limited number of select ‘art-house’ cinemas making any paper from the release exceptionally scarce and sought after with the artist himself releasing limited edition prints of the artwork which immediately sold out and have become collectors items in their own right. The poster offered here is a genuine UK quad film poster from the initial 2015 release, not a copy. Printed on heavy stock paper with a four colour silk screen print finish this originally rolled example displays superbly…An incredibly rare and collectable piece of music/film memorabilia.
