“When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.”
“When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives”. An early alternative lithograph for the phenomenally succesful HBO TV series “Game of Thrones”. Titled “The Harbinger”, this 2013 ‘Mondo’ screenprint features artwork by Ken Taylor and depicts the ‘three-eyed crow’, so significant in Bran Stark’s dreams. The landscape format perfectly suits the subject matter with the bright blood red sky of this ‘regular’ edition making it the best version to own. Limited to a print run of 440 this is hand-numbered #2. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an outstanding piece of alternative movie memorabilia from one of the biggest TV shows in recent memory.
Trivia: Game of Thrones is the first television series in history to be screened in IMAX theaters.

“In the mythical continent of Westeros, several powerful families fight for control of the Seven Kingdoms. As conflict erupts in the kingdoms of men, an ancient enemy rises once again to threaten them all. Meanwhile, the last heirs of a recently usurped dynasty plot to take back their homeland from across the Narrow Sea.”
“Game of Thrones” has its flaws but it can’t be denied that it’s one of the most watched, popular and cherished shows by HBO. The production design alone still holds up and will most likely always. The cinematography is so gorgeous, the VFX is superb, unforgettable battles, brutal moments, heartwarming moments, “Game of Thrones” has it all. It is the ultimate action fantasy series but can be seen as a fantasy realism series with gritty & medieval elements. With a vast cast of characters, Game of Thrones juggles it’s characters so impressively well. Not to mention “Game of Thrones” is full of complex grey characters, which I personally love. The only flaw I’ve seen in the series was bad choppy action sequences in one episode. Ive always felt that the music and character dynamics was the heart of “Game of Thrones” and believe it or not, we got that throughout all 8 seasons. “Game of Thrones” not only left one hell of a imprint in the television world, but set up success for other series to come from the world of Westeros, and is definitely a must watch.
Trivia: Author George R.R. Martin has stated in interviews that in the books, Westeros is roughly the size of South America (which is 4,700 miles long and 3,300 miles at its widest point). However, on the show, it is considerably smaller: 2,000 miles long and 900 miles at its widest. Although the Wall is the largest structure in the “Game of Thrones” world, it is not the tallest. In the books, the tallest structure is the High Tower in Oldtown and the second tallest the Great Pyramid of Meereen. The lands north of the Wall are mostly uncharted (and no map shows it in its entirety), but according to Martin, this area could be as large as Canada, meaning that it would encompass almost half of Westeros.
