Trivia: Realizing that the film was running behind schedule and over budget, director Paul Verhoeven and producer Jon Davison purposely did not film one crucial scene: Officer Murphy’s death. When production wrapped, they went back to Los Angeles and grimly informed the execs that Murphy’s death had not been filmed. After watching the footage they did film, the execs were so astonished by the aesthetics and performances they gave the filmmakers more money and they filmed the scene in a redecorated warehouse in Los Angeles.

Trivia: Darth Vader’s appearance in this film is meticulously patterned after his look in the original Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). While Vader’s chest plate is uncovered in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983), his costume initially had his Sith robes draped over his shield, as well as red lenses in the eye holes of the mask. Considering this film takes place mere days before the original film, the costume designers recreated Vader’s look down to the last detail.

    SHERLOCK: The Final Problem

    £150.00

“The world’s favourite detective has emerged from the fog…this is Sherlock for a new generation.”

When first aired in 2010 the television series “SHERLOCK” went on to receive rave reviews and a cult following, becoming one of the most successful TV shows ever produced being revered by critics and fans alike in its modern re-imagined and re-booted formula. So successful in fact that for the ‘final’ episode on January 15th 2017 the BBC decided to simultaneously broadcast it in cinemas as well as standard TV screens. The advertising campaign was one the most extensive ever commissioned by the BBC and the poster that accompanied the extremely limited (one night only) cinema release was truly exceptional. Highlighting the two stars (Benedict Cumberbatch & Martin Freeman) it really is stunning, dark and mysterious with a design perfectly suited to the landscape format of the UK quad film poster. Originally rolled this incredibly rare example displays to excellent effect. One of the best looking and most collectable film posters of recent years from a TV series that has become a global favourite. Never commercially available by the BBC these posters are unbelievably scarce and represent a marvellous piece of original collectable film & TV memorabilia…“All lives end; all hearts are broken. Caring is not an advantage, Sherlock.”

    Sid & Nancy

    £65.00

“Sidney’s more than a mere bass player. He’s a fabulous disaster. He’s a symbol, a metaphor, he embodies the dementia of a nihilistic generation. He’s a fuckin’ star.”

One of the rarer posters from Ale Cox’s movie that was meant to define punk’s ‘Posh & Becks’. This is the 2016, 30th Anniversary re-release for the punk-rocku-drama “Sid & Nancy”. Considering it was such a bleak and colourless film the use of bright yellow and red as a main part of the design is unusual to say the least. Still it works & this originally rolled (as issued) version displays and presents to excellent effect and looks superb. If you were a fan, a punk or identify with the film then this is a great snapshot of the time, the pop culture and the genre.

Trivia: Gary Oldman lived on a diet of steamed fish and melon to lose enough weight to play the emaciated, heroin-addicted Sid, and was hospitalized when he went too far and became malnourished.

  • Silver Bullet Movie Poster

    Silver Bullet

    £150.00

“It started in May in a small town and every month after that whenever the moon is full… It came back.”

An original, rolled 1985 US One Sheet movie poster for Stephen King’s werewolf horror romp “Silver Bullet”. The movie is just pure fun, one of those horror movies that relies on atmospheric tension and frightening monsters. The werewolf is pretty scary in this adaptation of Stephen King’s novella, “Cycle of the Werewolf”. 1980s teen star Corey Haim is just fine as a wheelchair-bound young boy who discovers there’s a werewolf in their midst—the townsfolk think the murders are the work of a psycho killer, but Corey and his sister Megan Follows convince Uncle Red (a cool Gary Busey) and they set off to find the identity of the werewolf. Everett McGill is fine as the creepy minister, and the whole movie works because it doesn’t take itself too seriously and it recognises that. Truly one of the better treatments of a King work and a fantastic example of high grade cinematic movie memorabilia.

Trivia: Tarker’s Mills, where the action takes place, is a fictional town within the Stephen King universe. It borders locations of other King’s works also adapted to film, such as Chester’s Mill (Under the Dome (2013)), Derry (It (1990)) and Castle Rock (Needful Things (1993), Cujo (1983) and Pet Sematary (1989)), among others.

Walt Disney’s greatest movie…“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs“. An extremely rare example of Disney memorabilia. This original US one sheet for the 1993 re-release is the very scarce “Mirror” version. The oval centre actually acts as a mirror because of the foil used to produce the poster (hence apologies for the image…it’s a tough one to photograph) with the border printed to look like a mirror frame. This is movie memorabilia come to life straight from the silver screen to your wall. Originally rolled it displays very well…As with all promotional Disney items the quality is first rate…an exceptionally rare and desirable poster.

Trivia: The Special Academy Award given to the picture consisted of one standard Oscar statuette and seven miniature statuettes on a stepped base.
