    Original 1967, first year of release Japanese STB/Tatekan movie poster for the Stanley Donen seven deadly sins comedy “Bedazzled”. After the success of the first two series of British TV show “Not Only … But Also” (1965-1970), comic duo Dudley Moore and Peter Cook star in their second big screen outing. “Bedazzled”  sees Stanley Moon (Moore) sell his soul to The Devil (Cooke) in exchange for seven wishes. Raquel Welch features as Lust and, with her climb to fame from “One Million Years B.C”. Japanese posters put her front and centre for the obvious sex appeal. The Japanese tatekan poster (as offered here) is printed in two pieces which were designed to be pasted together on the bill boards. Far rarer, and more striking than the more common Japanese B2 posters, they are highly sought after. Eye catching, country unique design, exclusive to the Japanese release this excellent rolled, flat/unfolded example displays superbly and represents one of the most colourful and best looking posters from the period and an amazing example of cinema memorabilia.

    Trivia: Although Raquel Welch is featured in most of the promotional material for this movie, she is on-screen for only roughly seven minutes.

    An original 1988 UK Quad movie poster from the bizarre Tim Burton dark horror comedy “Beetlejuice”. Designed by B.D.Fox Independent with Carl Ramsey finished artwork this is a really great looking film poster; incredible lifelike imagery with the green titles and cast credits finished with a luminous ink – it really is effective, adding a spooky vibe to the design. “Beetlejuice” is a wacky, twisted and wild, typical Tim Burton comedy in which recently deceased young couple Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis) seek help from crazed spirit Betelgeuse – a.k.a. Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) – when they are unable to put up with the family that’s newly moved into their house. Presented in original ROLLED (as issued) high grade condition with colours that pop from the paper this super clean example represents a fantastic piece of cinema memorabilia for one of the best loved movies from the 1980s.

    Trivia: The skeleton head on top of Betelgeuse’s Merry-Go-Round is one of the first appearances of Jack Skellington, a skeleton figure which Tim Burton had been drawing since 1982, and would ultimately be used as the main character of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), which Burton co-wrote and produced.

    A surreal looking Polish One-Sheet for Hal Ashby’s Oscar winning “Being There” (1979) with artwork by Maria ‘Mucha’ Ihnatowicz for the first Polish release in 1982. With bright colours and distinctive painted illustration, it is a perfect complement to what is a excellent (dark) comedy film featuring a standout performance by Peter Sellers. A beautiful, stylish piece of film poster art that is unique to this Polish release. Originally rolled  (as issued) this beautiful unrestored 1979 example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents one of the most collectable Peter Sellers’ film posters available.

    Trivia: It took Peter Sellers nearly nine years to get this movie made by a studio, mainly because by the 1970s Sellers’ career had hit rock bottom and no studio in Hollywood would work with him. After the revival (and success) of the Pink Panther movies, Lorimar Pictures finally greenlit the project.

    Walt Disney’s live action super spy ‘James Bond’ spoof  movie…“Condorman”. It has all of the cool gadgets, world-wide locations, a sexy femme fatale, creepy Russain villains, and best of all, some of the coolest car and boat chase sequences on film. The concept of the film is a cross between a comic book hero and a secret agent who failed O’Level spying. It has the humour of ‘The Morecambe and Wise Show’ and the special effects of an early Bond film. Regarded as a ‘Golden Age’ for Disney movie posters. It is the artwork from the Walt Disney posters produced during the 1970’s and early 1980’s that were probably the best looking from any period. Offered here is an original UK quad movie poster from the first year of release 1981  with some stunning art by the very talented Brian Bysouth. A fantastic looking, visual feast of a poster with beautiful design and artwork, bright bold colours and stunning  all-action imagery featuring the titular “Condorman” offset against rocket firing cars and futuristic speed boats; a fantastic FUN poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this unrestored film poster presents to excellent effect and is a fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and very popular Disney offering.

    Trivia: During one take, when Condorman falls into the River Seine, Michael Crawford nearly drowned after the strength of the current was miscalculated. He was dragged five to ten feet under the water before two lifeguards pulled him out just in time. Crawford was willing to do the stunt again but director Charles Jarrott refused to allow it, and put a trained stuntman in his place.
