An absolutely stunning piece of alternative movie poster art by Matt Taylor. This is a sold out screen print for the Marvel Studios release “Captain Marvel” released by Mondo in 2019. The character depicted is the cosmically powered super-heroine Carol Danvers sporting her red, white, and blue Earth uniform. This is a hand numbered regular edition of 1725 with this being #1008. Originally flat & unfolded (as issued) this superb example displays to impressive effect (honestly the photo does not do this justice…needs to be seen), perfectly suited to this portrait format. Captain Marvel AKA Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) looks truly cosmic and takes centre stage in a full on ‘power’ pose. Very cool and very collectable this exceptional looking piece represents a fantastic item of ‘modern’ super-hero movie memorabilia.

The ‘At Cinemas Soon’ movie poster offered here is the very first poster released for Marvel’s 2019 billion dollar blockbuster “Captain Marvel”. Designed by creative arts agency LA with photography by Michael Muller this originally rolled (as issued) example looks stunning and displays to superb effect, perfectly suited to this portrait format. Captain Marvel AKA Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) looks truly heroic and takes centre stage in an almost silhouette stance with her flying heritage very much in evidence by posing her in an aircraft hangar. Very cool and very collectable this original cinema poster represents a fantastic item of ‘modern’ super-hero movie memorabilia.

“E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” is the film which Steven Spielberg says epitomises his career. A true classic for all ages. Spielberg chose a regular collaborator in the artist John Alvin to create the marketing poster, and it’s fair to say that he (along with design agency Intralink Film Graphic Design – taking inspiration from Michelangelo’s ‘Creation of Adam’ painting which adorns the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel) has produced one of the cinema’s classic, timeless posters, that is immediately recognisable as the finger tips of E.T. & Elliott touch to create that spark of friendship. Certainly the best example we have ever offered for sale and very hard to find in this outstanding rolled (as issued) condition and a marvellous item of truly collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Richard Attenborough later said that he felt bad that his own film, Gandhi (1982), beat this film to the Best Picture Academy Award because he considered his friend Steven Spielberg‘s film more deserving of the award and was convinced before the ceremony that it would win. Attenborough described E.T. as “a quite extraordinary piece of cinema”.

This superb limited edition example is incredibly rare in any edition and to offer an Artist Proof example (this is hand-numbered #10/10) is indeed a bonus. Antarctic Alien terror never looked better than this, thanks to Humphreys’ stunning imagery, MacReady (Kurt Russell) and the Thing illustrations are perfectly realised, with beautiful colour tones. An incredibly stylish and cool film poster for Gareth Edwards’ ‘intelligent’ creature feature “MONSTERS”. Created by design agency ‘Hoo-Ha’ this award winning original 2010 UK quad film poster is a striking looking example and incredibly rare in this style. Made to resemble one of the battered metal warning signs seen throughout the movie and finished in bright orange and deep black it is an incredible looking piece. Extremely scarce, the advertising campaign was very low key for Gareth Edwards’ debut feature and the UK film posters that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release are in very short supply and truly hard to find. This originally rolled (as issued) film poster displays beautifully and is presented in excellent condition. Distinctive & eye-catching with some of best design seen on a modern poster it represents an extremely desirable piece of original movie memorabilia.

“Don’t be afraid of the dark. Be afraid of what’s in the dark”
An original 2000 US one-sheet movie poster for Vin Diesel’s breakthrough movie “Pitch Black” and the first film to feature Vin’s character Richard B. Riddick which to date (there is talk of a fourth in the works) has spawned three sequels, The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (2004) (animated), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and Riddick (2013).Diesel is brilliant as Riddick, truly menacing but forced to help people who otherwise would only see him as a threat. There is also an underlying humour in his performance as well, which adds another dimension to the character. This is the sort of role that Vin excels in, the anti-hero, whos character is not as one-dimensional as first appears. The poster, designed by New Wave Creative is super stylish with a black and silver colour palette, with the example offered here presented in excellent rolled (as issued) condition. It represents an impressive item of movie memorabilia that looks fantastic and also represents the first movie for one of cinemas most recognisable and successful actors.
Trivia: The film developed from David Twohy‘s unused idea for Alien³ (1992) involving a space prison.

One of the best films of the 1980’s and certainly one of Schwarzenegger’s finest roles, “Predator“ is a film I’ve seen more times than I care to remember. Directed by John McTiernan, who would go on to helm “Die Hard” the following year (arguably the greatest action movie ever made), the film is an excellent mix of gung-ho action and sci-fi horror with a truly iconic monster (designed by Stan Winston). The rare and original UK quad film poster offered here is from first year of release 1987 and was created by a team at the FEREF design agency, including Stephen Laws, Frank Hillary and acclaimed movie poster artist Brian Bysouth. This was one of the first film posters by the artist to have been created with photo composition and not painted, as had been the case with his previous posters. This ‘thermal imaging’ version has a great action image of Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and is considered a classic amongst collectors of the genre. Originally folded (as issued – the fold lines are soft from being stored flat for a number of years) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect. Sought after and extremely hard to find in this high grade condition it represents a fine piece of collectable original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The mandibles of the Predator were the idea of James Cameron.
