“VENGEANCE HAS A NAME”
Taken on its own terms, “Punisher: War Zone” is everything it is supposed to be: excessively violent, larger than life, fast paced, and almost always loads of fun. War Zone doesn’t take itself seriously and it doesn’t ask the audience to do so. Firmly established as Marvels darkest and most controversial ‘hero’ it would be fair to say that The Punisher is probably best known and enjoyed by American, European and Far East fanboys than those in Britain and although heavily promoted in said areas the British release was fairly limited, with the movie being shown in only a handful of cinemas. Meaning that the accompanying film poster is genuinely scarce, which is a real shame as both LA & Ignition creative design agencies have collaborated to produce a real stand out poster for the UK quad design. This original 2008 UK quad film poster is very dark & very moody and printed on a heavy stock paper with a matt finish that only enhances the dark shadowy tones further. A real ‘peach’ of a Punisher poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive gritty artwork that represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: After this film, the live action film rights to the Punisher reverted back to Marvel Studios. Ray Stevenson would later appear in another Marvel production, produced by Marvel Studios this time, as Volstagg in the Thor film series.

This is certainly one of the most intense films Scorsese has directed, and one of the most important of his career. It is an iconic motion picture that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The movie poster that accompanied this limited run release was equally as striking for the British 14th April, 2023 Park Circus re-release of Martin Scorsese’s Oscar winning Jake La Motta biopic “Raging Bull” the beautifully photographed image of a blood red La Motta (De Niro) set against a purple and maroon (the colour of bruises) backdrop. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with beautiful colour tones and dramatic boxing imagery. Incredibly rare, as it received a very limited release and was only shown in a handful of ‘Park Circus’ affiliated cinemas. A must have title for the serious collector or fan it represents a fantastic item of good looking collectible movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In preparation for his role, Robert De Niro went through extensive physical training, then entered in three genuine Brooklyn boxing matches and won two of them.

Love it or hate it “Rise of the Footsoldier” is a modern classic with a huge cult following. Filmed in 2007 and based on a true story of Essex gangsters – Carlton Leach, Tony Tucker and pat Tate it faithfully recreates the 1990s in all of its glory, portraying a violent crime genre that is still going strong and showing no sign of flagging with four sequels to date. There is so little paper available for this title, making this original UK quad such a great find – it is ultra rare and the first time we have ever offered one for sale. The eye-catching black and white imagery created by Mister S is certainly striking as the cast are featured on the barrel of a shotgun Originally rolled (as issued), the poster displays beautifully and is presented in excellent condition with minimal handling wear and represents an extremely desirable piece of original British cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: During the films opening scene in the morgue, the answering machine message left on Tony Tucker’s phone was the real life recording that Carlton left him the day after the shooting. This was confirmed by Carlton in an interview with James English.

One of the rarer posters from Ale Cox’s movie that was meant to define punk’s ‘Posh & Becks’. This is the 2016, 30th Anniversary re-release for the punk-rocku-drama “Sid & Nancy”. Considering it was such a bleak and colourless film the use of bright yellow and red as a main part of the design is unusual to say the least. Still it works & this originally rolled (as issued) version displays and presents to excellent effect and looks superb. If you were a fan, a punk or identify with the film then this is a great snapshot of the time, the pop culture and the genre.
Trivia: Gary Oldman lived on a diet of steamed fish and melon to lose enough weight to play the emaciated, heroin-addicted Sid, and was hospitalized when he went too far and became malnourished.
