Due to a very limited cinematic release of this ‘art-house’ independent movie this poster is a truly scarce item of sports memorabilia, an original 2021 UK Quad movie poster for Jason Ferguson’s biopic “Alex Ferguson: Never Give In”. A strikingly simple poster design that clearly tells you that it is advertising a film about one of Manchester United‘s most successful manager and one of football’s greatest ever character’s – Alex Ferguson. Halfway between a sports documentary and a social statement on how a high profile job in football affects the life of everyone around them. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb example displays and presents to excellent effect featuring a close up colour photograph of the titular Ferguson. A fine piece of original memorabilia that will appeal to the Manchester United fan, sports and movie poster collector for one of the most lauded, famous and recognised football manager’s on the planet.

Despite being caught in her imaginative world, Amelie (Audrey Tautou), a young waitress, decides to help people find happiness. Her quest to spread joy leads her on a journey where she finds true love. Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s is a truly heart warming cinematic experience, with the casting of Audrey Tautou as the titular Amelie or to give its full title Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain a masterstroke. So it’s no surprise to see her featured so prominently on the movie posters that accompanied the release in 2001. The UK quad from this first year of release was originally rolled and displays superbly – it really is a beautiful, character focused film poster that represents a fine item of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The main colors in the film (green, yellow and red) are inspired by the paintings of the Brazilian artist Juarez Machado.

“Anaconda” is listed among the 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies Ever Made in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson‘s book The Official Razzie Movie Guide and is reported to be one of Dame Helen Mirren’s favourite movies. A huge cult following and a guilty pleasure for many with a cinema poster that promises a lot more than the film delivers – it’s an eye catching ‘eyes without a face’ (EWAF) design featuring the titular Anaconda. This rolled (as issued) UK quad, from first year of release 1997 presents to superb effect with a deep black background and yellow eyes that pop from the paper. It’s a very rare scarce original poster from a true cult movie of the genre.
Trivia: Within the movie you can really see two scenes with real anacondas: the first scene is when they blow up the barrier that obstructs the river, after the explosion several of the snakes that fall into the boat are Green Anacondas you can also see a boa constrictor (another of the largest snakes in the Amazon rainforest); The second scene is when Terri enters the anaconda’s nest where the snakes they show are real green anacondas.

“Apocalypse Now” is a 2011 Restored and Remastered of Francis Ford Coppola‘s epic war film Apocalypse Now, which was originally released in 1979. Coppola, along with editor/longtime collaborator Walter Murch, personally supervised the restoration for this landmark release which features for the first time in landscape format the iconic ‘helicopters in the sunset’ artwork created by Bob Peak for the original 1979 campaign. There is no doubting that this sweeping vista widescreen style perfectly suits the UK quad format. Printed on a heavier than usual stock paper the colour saturation is superb allowing the burnt orange sunset to really pop, add to this the addition of gold title and text detailing it is a poster that doesn’t fail to impress. Totally unrestored and rolled (as issued) this presents and displays to excellent effect with only minimal handling wear. A truly beautiful piece of original movie memorabilia from one of the finest film’s ever made…“Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that”
Trivia: Francis Ford Coppola believed that Marlon Brando was familiar with Joseph Conrad‘s “Heart of Darkness”, the novel on which the movie is based. When Brando arrived on-set, Coppola was horrified to find that Brando had never read “Heart of Darkness”, did not know his lines, and had become extremely overweight. Kurtz had always been written as tall and very thin. After some panic, Coppola decided to film the 5’10” Brando as if he was a massively built, 6’5″ brute to explain his size, and kept the camera away from his huge belly.

A personal favourite and quite simply a beautiful film poster for the 40th Anniversary remastered & restored release of Francis Ford Coppola’s multi award winning Vietnam war epic “Apocalypse Now”. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Coppola’s masterpiece with any paper hugely desirable and the 2019 Laurent Durieux designed UK quad film poster offered here is no exception. The imagery truly captures the cloying atmosphere and dark tone of the movie with a close up shot of army assassin Benjamin Willard (Martin Sheen) emerging from the river with his target Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) a reflected mirror image. The red and green colour palette only enhances the whole look; absolutely stunning poster (the photo just doesn’t do this poster justice, it needs to be seen to be appreciated) with truly memorable imagery for Coppola’s voyage into the ‘Heart of Darkness’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect with only minimal handling wear that represents an incredible piece of original movie memorabilia from one of the finest film’s ever made…“Napalm, son. This original 2012 UK quad film poster for Marvel’s all action super hero romp is certainly impressive as all the heroes are beautifully realised; Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury stand proud and battle ready in a ravaged New York. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays to excellent and impressive effect…One of the best looking posters to date for any of the prolific Marvel Studios releases with spectacular super-hero imagery that represents a fine piece of collectable modern cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Due to UK copyright issues over the name, Marvel had to release the film in the UK under the name “Avengers Assemble”, as there had already been an unrelated film with Sir Sean Connery and Ralph Fiennes released by Warner Brothers, The Avengers (1998)

Creative design agency BLT Communications pulled out all the stops when they issued the marketing campaign posters for the Marvel Studios’ blockbuster “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. This original 2015 UK quad film poster for Marvel’s all action super hero romp is certainly impressive as all the heroes are beautifully realised on the sweeping landscape format of the British quad; Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye are joined by the newcomers Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), her twin brother Pietro (Quicksilver) and Vision, all ready to battle Ultron’s lethal android army. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays and presents to excellent effect. One of the best looking posters to date for any of the prolific Marvel Studios releases with spectacular detailed imagery and bright colours. A hugely important and collectable piece of movie memorabilia from the Studio that can do no wrong and if first appearances in movies and on movie posters follows the same trend as the comics then with Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision appearing in this instalment it is a must have item.
Trivia: Joss Whedon cast Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch because he thought their powers would be cool to use in a film: “Their powers are very visually interesting. One of the problems I had on the first one was everybody basically had punchy powers. Quicksilver’s got super-speed, Scarlet Witch can weave spells, and a little telekinesis, get inside your head. That’s good stuff they can do, that will help keep it fresh.”

The distinctive title logo and of the course the time-travelling DeLorean pop with colour and complemented with a series of blue toned photo montages featuring key characters and scenes from the movie and making for a distinctive poster design. This unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued) with minimal handling wear and beautiful deep vibrant colours . A rare and extremely desirable piece of original film memorabilia from one of the most popular and much loved series of movies ever made.“If you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style ?”
Trivia: The inspiration for the film largely stems from Bob Gale discovering his father’s high school yearbook and wondering whether he would have been friends with his father as a teenager. Gale also said that if he had the chance to go back in time, he would really go back and see if they would have been friends.
