This is certainly one of the most compelling and despite its three hour plus runtime, most watchable films Martin Scorsese has directed. It is an epic motion picture that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The ‘cast’ style UK quad film poster by Concept Arts that accompanied this 2019 release of “The Irishman” was equally as striking as it features three of the greatest actors of any generation – Robert De Niro, Al Pacino & Joe Pesci. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with dark unfaded background and outstanding character imagery. Very scarce with a incredibly low print run, as it was essentially a Netflix streaming service movie which received a limited cinematic release so it would qualify as a contender for Academy Award recognition and was only shown in a handful of independent cinemas with no general release. A must have title for the serious collector or fan.
Trivia: “I heard you paint houses” were the first words Jimmy Hoffa ever spoke to Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. On The Tonight Show, Robert De Niro remarked that the term, along with “I also do my own carpentry work,” refer to both the hit and the clean-up.

“Some Secrets Are Too Huge To Hide”
Beautiful film poster for the 2016 ‘Signature’ release of Brad Bird’s giant alien robot animated adventure “The Iron Giant”. This really is stunning, retro styling and beautiful muted grey and blue colour tones. Incredibly scarce the ‘Signature’ re-release was only shown in a strictly limited number of cinemas for a short time. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents and displays to excellent effect that represents a great looking, cleverly imagined item of original movie memorabilia art…“For the child in all of us ?”
Trivia: The Iron Giant and Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy are both voiced by Vin Diesel and, in both times, the sound technician that worked on it was Doc Kane. Both characters end up sacrificing themselves, but are ultimately resurrected.

“Judge, Jury, and Executioner is what The Punisher is.”
“The Punisher” may be one of the darkest comic book characters ever created. This film and especially Thomas Jane, get that which makes this film is one of the better in the genre, because it sticks to the source better than most. By 2004 the cinema had already seen an influx of ‘big-budget’ super hero movies; X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk as well as a re-imagined Batman so a ‘new’ Punisher was a safe bet as the character of Frank Castle still one of the most popular creations and a corner stone of the ‘Marvel Universe’. Designed by creative arts agency Intralink Film Graphic Design this original 2004 UK quad film poster is typical of the character, dark & moody. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive artwork highlighting both The Punisher (Thomas Jane) & his protagonist Howard Saint (John Travolta). It represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Seeing as he had only one involvement with the creation of the original Punisher character; (changing the character from ‘The Assassin’ to ‘The Punisher’) this is one of the few movies based on a Marvel Comic in which Stan Lee does not appear.

This country of origin UK quad film poster is from 40th Anniversary digitally remastered release in 2015 featuring reworked artwork (a huge pair of BLOOD RED LIPS) from the ‘Different Set of Jaws’ US poster campaign. Immediately recognisable as ‘Rocky Horror’ and hugely sought after by the film’s hardcore and loyal worldwide fan base. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb example presents and displays to excellent effect & represents a really fine and affordable item of original film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Oakley Court, Dr. Frank N. Furter’s “Castle”, was used in numerous Hammer horror films made at adjacent Bray Studios (where the lab and ballroom scenes were shot), including The House in Nightmare Park (1973), The Reptile (1966) and The Brides of Dracula (1960)

“A Fairy Tale for Troubled Times”
One of the best looking ‘modern’ film posters produced in a long time…Award winning British UK quad film poster for Guillermo Del Toro’s multi award winning (& nominated) dark sci-fi fantasy movie “The Shape of Water”. With beautiful painted artwork by design agency ‘Midnight Oil’ this design is perfectly suited to the landscape format of the British quad. A whole range of green and blue colour tones is used with the background incredibly detailed and made up the ‘Creature’s’ scales; this is very subtle and only evident on close inspection. This originally rolled (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with stunning graphics and represents a truly impressive piece of collectable original film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The creature design is heavily inspired by the film Creature from the Black Lagoon(1954). Michael Shannon’s character says they picked it up in the Amazon river in South America, which is the setting of The Creature from the film.

One of the most sought after titles of the horror genre. Completely new and re-imagined artwork was commissioned for the 40th Anniversary release of the movie featuring Dan Mumford’s striking design. The unmistakable silhouette of Christopher Lee (Lord Summerisle) is featured praying to his pagan god – the Wicker Man. Sib-titled ‘The Final Cut’ the sound and print quality have been remastered to satiate the demands of the modern movie goer . Trivia: Many years after making this movie, Edward Woodward re-visited some of the locations and claimed that he found the makeshift cross (that Howie makes out of some pieces of wood) still intact where it was left in the original scene.

Trivia: The spelling of the title “The VVitch” is how the word was written in the story’s period because the letter “W” was not yet in common use at the time.

“Do you believe in ghosts?”
An outstanding modern example of a true British horror classic. An original 2012 Country of Origin British UK quad film poster for Hammer Films’ horror “The Woman in Black”. Unlike the computer generated, photoshopped posters that accompanied the initial release, renowned horror illustrator Graham Humphreys was commissioned by Momentum and Hammer Films, to create an exclusive ‘old school’ horror poster for certain limited screenings as part of the Hammer Classic Film archive collection. These examples, all personally hand-signed by Humphreys are incredibly scarce and highly sought after by poster and Hammer collectors. Presented in original, unrestored condition this rolled (as issued) poster displays and presents to excellent effect that due to the very limited print run represents a sought item of horror movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The Woman in Black (2012) was originally passed by the British Board of Film Classification with a 15 certificate. However the distributor, Momentum Pictures, suggested several cuts and the BBFC agreed to a lower 12A certificate. Despite this, it was this film which was most complained about to the BBFC in 2011.

One of the most popular (spawning two sequels – This is England ’86 & ’90) and well respected British independent films ever made; Shane Meadows’ multi award winning docu-drama “This is England”. Created by graphic art designers All City this original 2006 UK quad film poster really delivers; not just a typical cast shot, but a genuine snap shot of English life and it’s sub-culture in 1983 (taking a bit of inspiration from the ‘Quadrophenia’ UK quad ?) Extremely rare, this poster displays to fine effect being originally rolled (as issued) and is presented in excellent unrestored condition with some of the best and most colourful imagery seen on a modern movie poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays to excellent and memorable effect with incredible colour tones (have I mentioned the colours before ?) One of the best looking posters to date for any of the Marvel Studios’ releases with fantastic super hero artwork that represents a fine piece of collectible modern cinema movie memorabilia. Fantastic to display as is, but if you own a lightbox this is a poster you want to put in it – super stunning when backlit.
Trivia: Thor’s “friend from work” line about The Incredible Hulk was suggested to Chris Hemsworth by a Make-A-Wish child who paid a visit to the set on the day the scene was filmed.

“Titanic” plays almost like a historical biography and is like a work of art, a true epic. Like most history novels, we know the ending, but it doesn’t take away from the wonderful treats that can be found in this picture. Certain aspects of this film were Academy Award material including costuming, sound, cintematography, and editing and it’s one of these iconic cinematic scenes – a close-up of Rose (Winslet) & Jack (DiCaprio) ‘flying’ at the bow of the Titanic that features in this original first year of release, 1997 UK quad. Designed by creative arts agency BLT Communications, this style is particularly scarce as it was issued after the movie had won 11 Academy Awards (Oscars). Investment grade quality for an example that was originally rolled and displays superbly, thanks not only to the imagery but the hi-gloss finish – it really is an impressive film poster that represents a great piece of cinematic movie memorabilia from the movie that was the first gross over a billion dollars at the box-office.
Trivia: The scenes set in 1912, i.e. the whole movie except the present-day scenes and the opening and ending credits, have a total length of two hours and forty minutes, the exact time it took for Titanic to sink. Also, the collision with the iceberg reportedly lasted 37 seconds, which is how long the collision scene is in the movie.
