An impressive and eye-catching item from the hand of master illustrator – Paul Mann, for the classic Paul Newman prison chain gang drama “Cool Hand Luke”. This stunning alternative movie poster features a beautiful image of Newman (dressed in prison fatigue double denim) along with the outstanding supporting cast in the background with Boss Godfrey (Morgan Woodward) one of the most prominent – He never removed the sunglasses throughout nor spoke a word and became known as ‘the man with no eyes’ one of the most significant and memorable characters from the Film. Hand-Numbered #69 from a print run of only 100, this originally rolled (as issued) example looks and displays to excellent effect. Unquestionably one of Newman’s finest roles, in a motion picture that has become near legendary and (rightly so) this modern re-imagining represents a highly collectable piece of artwork and a rare item of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Two hundred hard-boiled eggs were provided for one of the film’s most famous sequences. Due to clever editing, Paul Newman only ate about eight altogether. The rest were consumed by the cast and crew, which led to extreme cases of flatulence the next day.

“The Crow” is an excellent tragic film made even more tragic by the real life tragedies surrounding the film (Brandon Lee’s death during filming, and the fact that the story is a result of James O’Barr’s personal loss of his fiancée). Based on a very dark comic book, the film has the same dark feel and that same dark feel is very much in evidence in this excellent alternative movie poster by Paul Mann. This hand-numbered (#79/150) Saniose variant printing really is superb with Mann perfectly capturing the character – in likeness and tone with the coloured inks, separated by Saniose an incredible finishing touch. This is an impressive screen print that has to be seen in person as the photographs really don’t do it justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this magnificent example represents a hugely collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic cult movie.
Trivia: Even though the movie, based on the comic, is called ‘The Crow’, none of the birds used in the film were actually crows. All of them were in fact ravens, which are much larger than crows and have a longer, more impressive beak.

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 violent car-themed actioner “DRIVE” is extremely scarce. His award winning film has been complemented by a series of alternative movie posters and in 2022 Mad Duck commissioned leading artist – Laurent Durieux to create his version. Durieux has produced an outstanding addition to the title, truly eye-catching and super stylish as he focuses on the inside of the Chevy Malibu, replacing the gearshift with a bloodied claw hammer (one of the key scenes from the movie). The deep, rich colours are predominantly blues and greys with ‘Ryan Gosling’ & ‘Drive’ printed in contrasting bright pink ink. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with very minimal handling wear. An extremely scarce, selling out in near record time modern art print collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks very very cool !
Trivia: In preparation for his role, Ryan Gosling restored the 1973 Chevy Malibu that his character uses in the film.

“Enter the Dragon” is rightly regarded as one of the key and most influential movie’s from the 1970’s, creating it’s own unique genre and provided the vehicle to launch Bruce Lee (albeit briefly) as a screen & cultural icon. Unsurprisingly, it is one of the most popular licences when looking to have artwork commissioned. This 2024 offering from Thai artist Kwow is one of the best of these. Kwow’s impressive artwork beautifully portrays the most memorable scenes from the film and is beautifully complemented by some amazing realistic likenesses of the main cast members, particularly Lee who takes prominence. This very limited release of only 100, has been hand-numbered #57 in pencil and is offered in beautiful rolled, unfolded (as issued) condition that displays and presents to excellent effect – colours are very vibrant and truly pop from the paper. A truly outstanding art print that represents a key item of highly sought after modern cinematic memorabilia and a fitting tribute to the martial arts legend BRUCE LEE.
TRIVIA: ENTER THE DRAGON due to its huge popularity was consistently re-released and shown after its 1973 debut yet no new standalone posters were ever printed & it was down to the cinema owners to re-use the posters from 1973. “Scream as your nightmares come true”
Sam Raimi’s “The Evil Dead” is one of the best horror comedy movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this is one of the greatest performing films, dollar for dollar in cinematic history. One of the most popular film titles for alternative movie posters artists, this 2016 hand-numbered (#135/220) print by Francesco Francavilla is a standout piece and a proper horror poster as a chainsaw wielding Ash (Bruce Campbell) and the demonically possessed Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss) dominate the blood red coloured imagery. This example has been autographed by the Movie’s acclaimed Director and Writer Sam Raimi and annotated ‘Scream! Scream!’ The signing was carried out in 2023 (June) at FanExpo, Philadelphia and is accompanied by an official JSA Certificate of Authenticity from the event numbered AK96625. Trivia: Over his years as a director, Raimi’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (originally bought by Raimi’s father for the family when Sam was 14) has “played” Ash’s car in the Evil Dead movies, Uncle Ben and Aunt May’s car in the Spider-Man movies, Annie’s car in The Gift (2000), and Mrs. Ganoush’s car in Drag Me to Hell (2009), and has made cameos in nearly all of his other movies.

Trivia: The large demonic head Ash battles in the climax of the film, which the crew nicknamed the “rotten applehead”, was too large and cumbersome for the crew to carry back to California, so it was left in North Carolina and soon disappeared. Its whereabouts were unknown for a number of years until it was found in a Halloween haunted house attraction just outside the original shooting location of Wadesboro, North Carolina.

“On Friday The 13th, They Began To Die Horribly, One……By One”
Distinctive Alex Ebel artwork makes this original 1980 country of original US one sheet movie poster for Sean S. Cunningham’s slasher masterpiece “Friday the 13th” extremely sought after by collector’s of the horror genre. Introducing Jason Voorhees as one of the triumvirate of 80’s slasher horror icons that includes Wes Craven’s Freddy Kruger & John Carpenter’s Michael Myers. A multitude of sequels, match ups and remakes have been released since this premiered but none match this genre defining classic. Originally folded (as issued) this unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect with only minimal age and handling wear with bright & unfaded colours. It represents a fine piece of sought after cinema memorabilia from one of the defining ‘slasher’ flick Film’s.
Trivia: The filmmakers never intended to make this the launching pad for the franchise that followed. According to Victor Miller, Jason Voorhees was only meant as a plot device, and not intended to continue on his mother’s grisly work.

A personal favourite movie and alternative movie poster - Robert Rodriguez' "From Dusk till Dawn" combines vicious violence, Cheech Marin, vampires, and some funny dark humour from the cast into one big collective film. More than a basic horror movie, it shows Rodriquez as a fine director and Quentin Tarantino as a tight screenwriter who bring to the screen shoot em up vampire fun for the Pulp Fiction/Evil Dead devotees. A fantastic interpretation by Frank Frazetta for this grindhouse, horror-heist collaboration that perfectly captures the feel, look and attitude of the movie. Visual impact and artistic design are key aspects of any Tarantino/Rodriguez production and this beautiful example perfectly illustrates that fact, as a super-sexy Santanico Pandemonium (Salma Hayek) dominates the imagery. Legendary artist Frank Frazetta originally painted this art as a poster concept in 1996 after being personally (Rodriguez is a huge Frazetta fan) commissioned by Robert Rodriguez himself. Absolutely stunning, the photograph really doesn't do this example justice - being a giclee print (see below) with colour separations by Jason Edmiston the vibrant colours pop from the paper as this 2022 hand-numbered (#16/70) art print displays and presents to excellent effect and represents an amazing piece of cult cinematic movie memorabilia.

Trivia: Originally, Quentin Tarantino pitched this to John Travolta the same time as he was preparing to film Pulp Fiction (1994). Travolta was not interested in working on a vampire movie, and wanted to work on Pulp Fiction instead.

Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” is an iconic motion picture and a giant of the gangster genre that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The movie poster imagery that accompanied the 1990 release featured the three main stars – De Niro, Pesci & Liotta. And it’s those actors who take centre stage on this 2022 alternative movie poster by Nick Runge. In addition to the main characters, Runge has incorporated several key scenes and supporting characters into the artwork including one of the most memorable scenes from the movie as they get set to bury Billy Batts in the forest. Trivia: The “How am I funny?” scene is based on something that actually happened to Joe Pesci. While working in a restaurant, a young Pesci apparently told a mobster that he was funny, a compliment that was met with a less-than-enthusiastic response. Pesci relayed the anecdote to Martin Scorsese, who decided to include it in the film. Scorsese didn’t include the scene in the shooting script, so that Pesci and Ray Liotta‘s interactions would elicit genuinely surprised reactions from the supporting cast.

Officially licensed by Hammer and released in 2021 as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, this incredible limited edition alternative movie poster for the classic “Horror of Dracula” features the distinctive artistic style of Francesco Francavilla. The photograph really doesn’t do justice to this art print, the colours are bold, appearing newly painted with Christopher Lee (Count Dracula) prominent with blood stained fangs barred and his face bathed in an eerie green colour tone. Hand-Numbered #155 from a print run of 245 it is presented in excellent condition.
