Night of the Hunter

“The wedding night, the anticipation, the kiss, the knife, BUT ABOVE ALL… THE SUSPENSE !”

Charles Laughton’shorror noir “Night of the Hunter” is now rightly regarded as a classic of the genre receiving the commercial & critical acclaim it was denied on its original 1955 release. This original British UK quad film poster is from the 1999 BFI release and shows the chilling image of  the self proclaimed ‘preacher’ Harry Powell (Robert Mitchum) sporting his LOVE & HATE tattoos…A truly powerful cinematic image. Being a BFI release and only shown in a handful of select cinemas this is an incredibly scarce British film poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful example displays and presents to excellent effect and really is an exceptional item that represents a fine piece of extremely collectable original movie memorabilia from a film that is rightly regarded as one of the greatest American thrillers ever made.
