“First dance..First love..The time of your life.”
An original 2007 British UK quad film poster for the quintessential classic romance “Dirty Dancing”. This beautiful originally rolled example is pretty much faultless. A classic 80s poster featuring one of the decade’s most memorable and enduring images hat has been updated for the 20th Anniversary screenings., as Baby (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny (Patrick Swayze) prepare for their iconic dance routine. This Anniversary release received a very limited cinematic run, playing in only a handful of cinemas, making these posters particularly scarce. Often seen as one the THE defining and most loved movies of the 1980s it represents a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In an interview with AFI, Swayze explained why he thought Dirty Dancing endured for so long. “It’s got so much heart, to me,” he said. “It’s not about the sensuality; it’s really about people trying to find themselves, this young dance instructor feeling like he’s nothing but a product, and this young girl trying to find out who she is in a society of restrictions when she has such an amazing take on things.”

One for the true Bond collectors and those who appreciate movie posters as an art form. An original Italian locandina film poster design for 007’s second screen outing “From Russia With Love”. The artwork of Eric Pulford and Renato Fratini was adapted for this 1970s Italian re-release with Pulford’s now classic Sean Connery, Bond pose showing how well it has aged. Connery (as Bond) is surrounded by key female characters and action scenes from the movie including a beautiful illustration of actress Daniela Bianchi (Tatiana Romanova). With minimal handling wear this unrestored originally folded (as issued) example presents to very good effect and looks quite stunning, with vibrant bright unfaded colours and crisp white paper. It doesn’t get much better than this and represents an eye-catching piece of James Bond memorabilia.
Trivia: Although he had his reservations about the choice of Sir Sean Connery for the part of James Bond, after seeing him in this movie, Ian Fleming was completely won over by the actor. In fact, as a result, Fleming added a Scottish ancestry to Bond’s character in later novels.

“Bond drives an Aston…naturally”
In 1965, Aston Martin released this tie-in advertisement poster featuring Bond’s DB5 in their dealer showrooms to promote their association with the James Bond franchise and the latest release “Thunderball”, at the time the highest grossing film series on record. Original, 1965 are extremely scarce and in some cases prohibitively expensive, but in 1999 Bond Producer’s EON authorised a limited edition licenced print run of only 400 posters. They were printed to approximately the same size as the originals (British double crown size – 20″ x 30″) and are identifiable by the unique limited edition hand written number on each one – in this case 384/400. Presented rolled in excellent condition this is hugely desirable and very collectable and would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia and is a truly impressive 007 poster.
Trivia: On October 27, 2010, the Aston Martin DB5 used in this movie and Goldfinger (1964) was sold, fully “loaded”, to American classic car collector Harry Yeaggy for a reported $4 million by London’s RM Auctions. The car had only one previous private owner, an American radio station owner named Jerry Lee, who purchased the car directly from the Aston Martin factory in 1969 for $12,000. Lee had kept the car at his Pennsylvania house for over forty years.

“It’s All About Love… Actually.”
A British classic – comedy & romance combine for Richard Curtis’ “Love Actually”. With an impressive star-studded cast, most of whom are featured on the poster, this much loved movie is a genuine feelgood offering. A Christmas or a Valentines movie – well you can decide with this beautifully presented, country of origin British UK quad film poster from the first year of release 2003. Designed by TEA – The Entertainment Agency this example was originally issued rolled and displays superbly and represents a great piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: A speech given by Hugh Grant in this movie (where he extols the virtues of Great Britain and refuses to cave to the pressure of its longstanding ally, the United States) was etched in the transatlantic memory as a satirical, wishful statement on the concurrent relationship with George W. Bush. Tony Blair responded by saying in 2005, “I know there’s a bit of us that would like me to do a Hugh Grant in Love Actually (2003) and tell America where to get off. But the difference between a good film and real life is that in real life there’s the next day, the next year, the next lifetime to contemplate the ruinous consequences of easy applause.”

“It takes someone very special to help you forget someone very special”…Rare and original UK Quad quad film poster for the 1978 “Love Story” sequal “Oliver’s Story”. Simple design featuring a nice close up of the two stars Oliver (Ryan O’Neal) & Marcie (Candice Bergen). This originally folded example looks superb with deep rich colours and very little to be negative about. Not as well known or highly regarded as its predecessor but still a favourite romantic film for many people.

“A Generation Began In His Backyard.”…Designed by Mojo this award winning poster looks incredible. Eye-catching design and bright primary colours make for an outstanding piece of movie poster artwork. Due to the Film’s very low distribution these first Advance teaser “Take the trip this summer” posters are extremely scarce. This rolled original US One sheet appears unused and in exceptional condition. Don’t be confused it has been made to look old; fake lines, creases & crinkles. It displays beautifully and is investment grade quality !…Very, very cool !

Originally folded (as issued) and unrestored this rare 1969 US one sheet movie poster presents superbly and is displays to excellent effect. Extremely hard to find this US version is an eye-catching piece that represents an excellent example of very stylish collectable original film memorabilia for two of the screens greatest stars.
