A Hard Day’s Night
£70.00
“Their First Full Length, Hilarious Action-Packed Film…A TYPICAL day in the life of the Beatles”
A Rock & roll classic….A scarce and hard to find film poster for the Beatles first full length feature film, Richard Lester’s “A Hard Day’s Night”. Designed by Pavel Jasansky and featuring a great ‘early’ image of the ‘Fab Four’ this country unique, Czech artwork is especially popular with collectors and a fine example of uncommon Beatles memorabilia. From the 1978 this originally rolled (as issued) Czech film poster presents & displays to superb effect. Unrestored with strong black & white imagery it represents a fantastic item of highly collectable movie & music memorabilia with a twist and an interesting alternative to the more conventional British or American posters for this landmark Beatles title.
Trivia: United Artists executives didn’t really care about the film itself, they were mainly interested in exploiting a legal loophole which would allow them to distribute the lucrative soundtrack album. In fact, they fully expected to lose money on the film. With a final cost of about $500,000 and a box office take of about $8,000,000 in the first week, “A Hard Day’s Night” is among the most profitable (percentage-wise) films of all time.
