  One of the best must hummable theme tunes and a truly apocalyptic finale, it is no surprising that “Ghostbusters” was the biggest film of 1984. A supernatural summer blockbuster with humour, thrills, spills and some of the best special effects money could buy at the time. Ivan Reitman’s masterpiece is a much loved genuine classic that has been complemented by a series of alternative movie posters and in 2019 Mondo commissioned leading artist – Robert Sammelin to create his version. Sammelin has produced an outstanding addition to the title, truly eye-catching and super stylish as Gozer the Gozerian and the Stay Puft Marshmallow man take centre stage in the streams of the Ghostbusters’ proton packs. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect being hand-numbered #311/325. An extremely scarce example and an impressive item of collectable film movie memorabilia from one the best movies to come out of the 1980’s.

  Trivia: Almost none of the scenes were filmed as scripted; most had at least one ad-lib. Most of Bill Murray‘s lines are ad-libs.

Sometimes lobby card sets are slightly disappointing as they don’t really represent that many interesting scenes or characters from the movie, but that is the complete opposite here – this complete set of ALL eight US lobby cards is magnificent, featuring the Ghostbusters on six of the cards, a super-sexy, albeit possessed Sigourney Weaver and the iconic ECTO-1 ghost mobile. Originally flat and olded (as issued) these superb unrestored examples display to excellent effect with minimal age and handling wear and represent an impressive item of collectable film movie memorabilia from one the best movies to come out of the 1980’s.

This first Advance British UK quad was printed (and dated) 2020 and was issued to accompany the first Trailer (link below); both feature the iconic ‘Ecto-1’. Designed by creative agency BOND it’s a marvellous nostalgia piece evoking great memories for fans of the original. Originally rolled (as issued) this superb unrestored example displays to excellent effect with minimal age and wear and represents a fine item of collectable film movie memorabilia for an amazing sequel to one the best movies to come out of the 80’s.

  Trivia: Director Jason Reitman appeared in Ghostbusters II (1989) as the kid who tells Ray that according to his dad, the Ghostbusters are “full of crap”.

  Green Hornet, The

  £495.00

  “This was meant to be an action-adventure series about the grand-nephew of Texas Ranger John Reid (better known as The Lone Ranger) and a stacked luxury car named “Black Beauty”, but ended up being a vehicle for the great Bruce Lee and his amazing exhibitions of the martial arts.”

  With the Adam West “Batman” TV show a runaway success in the 1960s, it was bound to spawn imitators, and “The Green Hornet”, did not disappoint, based on an old radio show and movie. Hollywood pretty boy Van Williams, who strongly resembled ’60s heartthrob Fabian, played the masked supersleuth who chases down baddies in a souped-up Chrysler and with his sidekick, Kato, played by a very young Bruce Lee. The show is best remembered for Kato’s fight scenes, which is understandable for anyone who remembers Bruce Lee. After Lee’s tragic death in 1973, 20th Century Fox edited together four of the best TV episodes for a big screen, cinema release. It was meant to be a homage for one of the fasting rising stars in Hollywood, but in reality it was a cash in and that is clearly evident in the marketing campaign poster – Yes it features Green Hornet, ‘Black Beauty’ the customised Chrysler Imperial Crown sedan, but this is Lee’s movie. His name and over-sized image dwarf anything else. Bright red capitals at the top of the poster announce ‘BRUCE LEE’ and Kato in his blue jump-suited outfit really stand out in what is a pretty decent poster; very psychedelic 1960s. Offered here is an original, 1974 country of origin, US one-sheet that presents to stunning effect that benefits from being conservation linen backed. An impressive item that represents an extremely scarce and collectable example of original cinematic movie memorabilia & a fitting tribute to the martial arts legend BRUCE LEE.

  Trivia: Upon the suggestion of his 10 year old son Marco, producer Laurence Joachim licensed the rights to turn The Green Hornet (1966) into two feature length movies, making this first one the fifth biggest grossing Bruce Lee film ever. Larry and Marco took the best from the 1966 TV show, and edited them together with added fight scenes.

  The Harry Potter series of films is without doubt the biggest movie franchise of recent years with merchandise and memorabilia from the “Harry Potter” series very sought after and collectable. In the UK Crew Creative Advertising were commissioned for the film poster advertising campaign for the hotly anticipated sequel “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. The sequel introduced one of the franchises most beloved characters; “Dobby , the House Elf”. And it was Dobby who featured on the first Advance Teaser UK quad film poster with the the foreboding warning for Harry…“Dobby has come to warn you Sir”. One of the best and certainly one of the scarcer Harry Potter posters; this style hardly ever shows up and is a great find in this high grade rolled (as issued) condition. Guaranteed original it presents superbly and represents is a fine piece of genuinely rare original Harry Potter and cinematic movie memorabilia.

  Trivia: Executive producer and director Chris Columbus instructed cinematographer Roger Pratt to bring a darker look to the movie, reflecting the darker tone of the story. Hence, the sets were lit with more subdued lighting, and the color palette was desaturated a bit. These changes would continue throughout the franchise, with each movie getting darker and increasingly desaturated.

The background, red and orange colour palette of the international one-sheet gives a much more dramatic and eye-catching effect than the regular style. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful 2002 example presents to excellent effect and represents is a fine piece of genuinely scarce original Harry Potter and movie memorabilia.

  Trivia: The Weasleys’ car is a Ford Anglia. This is the same color and model car in which J.K. Rowling and her best friend from school used to ride around when they were younger. She used the car for the book, and later the movie, out of her fond memories of driving in it.

For the fifth instalment “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” creative arts agency BLT Communications were commissioned for the film poster advertising campaign and introduced one of the franchises most infamous characters;Harry’s nemesis “Lord Voldemort”. And it was Voldemort who featured on one of the first Advance film posters with the the foreboding warning for Harry…“You will lose everything !” This was the first time Voldemort was ever seen on a poster. One of the most eye-catching and certainly one of the rarest Harry Potter posters; this style hardly ever shows up and is a great find. Originally rolled (as issued) this fine example is guaranteed original and presents to excellent effect and represents is a great piece of genuinely scarce original Harry Potter and movie memorabilia.

  Trivia: Horror writer Stephen King said the character of Dolores Umbridge was the “greatest make-believe villain to come along since Hannibal Lecter.”

Arguably one of the best is the illustrated and painted, full cast artwork by Drew Struzan. Incredibly popular with fans and highly collectable it is this style from first year of release 2001 that is offered here. The colours and detailing are outstanding and truly beautiful to see in the flesh. Originally rolled (as issued) this amazing example presents to excellent effect and represents is a fine piece of Harry Potter movie memorabilia.

  Trivia: This movie and the novel on which it is based are known as “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” everywhere except the US. This was because the US publisher, Scholastic, demanded JK Rowling change the title (and corresponding text in the book) to “Sorcerer’s Stone”, believing that American audiences were largely unfamiliar with the ‘Philosopher’s Stone’ concept. To keep the movie consistent with the book, every scene in the movie where the Philosopher’s Stone is mentioned was filmed twice (once with the cast members saying “Philosopher’s”, and once with them saying “Sorcerer’s”) or dubbed (most notably, one of the times Hermoine says it in the library and her face isn’t shown).
