“Higher ! Further ! Faster !”
The ‘Dolby Cinema’ movie poster offered here is considered the rarest and hardest to find of all the posters produced for Marvel’s 2019 billion dollar blockbuster “Captain Marvel”. Designed by creative arts agency LA with photography by Michael Muller this originally rolled (as issued) example looks stunning and displays to superb effect, perfectly suited to this portrait format. With a retro feel and look, Captain Marvel AKA Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) looks truly heroic and takes centre stage in full costume as she strikes across the sky accompanied by a squadron of F-15 jet fighters. Very cool and very collectable this original cinema poster represents a fantastic item of ‘modern’ super-hero movie memorabilia.
Trivia: This was the twenty-first film to be released by Marvel Studios for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first to have a female lead being released at cinemas on International Women’s Day.

An absolutely stunning piece of alternative movie poster art by Matt Taylor. This is a sold out screen print for the Marvel Studios release “Captain Marvel” released by Mondo in 2019. Originally flat & unfolded (as issued) this superb example displays to impressive effect (honestly the photo does not do this justice…needs to be seen), perfectly suited to this portrait format. Captain Marvel AKA Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) looks truly cosmic and takes centre stage in a full on ‘power’ pose. The blood red background silhouetting the infamous T-rex skeleton makes for the most iconic and instantly recognisable logo in cinema history. It can only be Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster “Jurassic Park”. Ground breaking and game changing are phrases banded around far to easily in this day of modern cinema but “Jurassic Park” truly deserves these accolades. A massive worldwide success on its release with merchandising and memorabilia hugely sought after with the logo style design being the most desirable. Re-released for a very limited cinematic run in 2011 the original iconic design and colour palette has been reworked, using a striking silver background. The UK quad film poster offered here displays and presents to excellent effect. From an aesthetic point of view I have always preferred the landscape format of the quad, as feel it suits the design (and is much more impressive) than the portrait style of a one-sheet. A fine piece of original movie memorabilia from the film that kickstarted the CGI phenomenon and made millions fall in love with a T-Rex.
Trivia: In 2005, paleontologist Dr. Mary Schweitzer discovered red blood cells and soft tissue in the fossilized bones of a T. Rex, meaning dinosaur cloning may someday become a reality.

Ground breaking and game changing are phrases banded around far to easily in this day of modern cinema but “Jurassic Park” truly deserves these accolades. From first year of release 1993 this rolled (as issued) Advance ‘Summer 1993’ original, unrestored UK quad film poster displays and presents to excellent effect. The bright yellow logo (which is considered the rarer of the two styles – the other is red) and title which is printed , slightly embossed, using a spot varnish finish, truly pops against the matt black background. From an aesthetic point of view I have always preferred the landscape format of the quad, as feel it suits the design (and is much more impressive) than the portrait style of a one-sheet. An amazing item of original movie memorabilia that is hard to find in such high grade condition from the film that kickstarted the CGI phenomenon and made millions fall in love with a T-Rex.
Trivia: The novel was published in 1990. However, pre-production of the film began in 1989, using only Michael Crichton‘s manuscript. It was widely believed that the book would be such a hit that it would make an outstanding movie. It turns out that assumption was correct.

Quentin Tarantino’s 8th Film…“The Hateful Eight” is a bloody, brutal, who dun-it epic. Released in 2015 it proved a huge commercial & critical success and in keeping with previous Tarantino movie merchandising offerings the film posters have became very collectible. Officially licensed by Tarantino who worked closely with artist, Jason Edmiston and Mondo’s team to create an image that represented the films iconic and titular “eight,” while also wanting to pay special attention to the lush, vast snowy landscapes captured in glorious 70mm. Edmiston has truly achieved what I feel to be among his best and certainly most technically proficient screen prints ever. The artist had this to say about the project…”Quentin Tarantino is my favorite contemporary director, and Mondo thrilled me with the offer to attack an official poster for his latest movie, THE HATEFUL EIGHT. Enthralled by the film, I accepted the challenge. The eight titular characters are as equally important to the plot of the movie as the super wide, glorious 70 millimeter Panavision presentation. I wanted to feature both the diverse personalities and the beautiful, expansive landscape during a raging snow storm that reflects the energy inside the Haberdashery. Stylistically, Italian western posters of the 60s and 70s influenced my approach since this production shares many of those films’ typical characters and plot cues. I also wanted to maintain as much of my painted style as possible within the limitations of screen printing. I maximized the three-dimensional quality by purposefully layering my background, middle-ground and foreground elements to tell a story. Starting with a full value, black and white traditional painting, I then finalized it digitally. Comprised of 10 layers, created one at a time, the completed work combines a mix of opaque and transparent inks to emulate a full color watercolor painting. The entire process from concept to final poster took nearly 6 weeks. It was a labor of love and perhaps my proudest accomplishment to date”…Totally unrestored this originally rolled unfolded (as issued) example (#424/2975) displays to excellent effect with only minimal handling wear. Perfect, bright colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare film poster that represents a key item of highly sought after modern Quentin Tarantino movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Takes place in the same universe as Quentin Tarantino‘s previous film, Django Unchained(2012), even though it is not a sequel. Ironically, Samuel L. Jackson and Walton Goggins play villains in that movie, and are the good guys in this one.
