With artwork by Gary Pullin, this 2019 alternative movie poster for Wes Craven’s 1984 horror classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is an impressive example of horror art that also benefits from being signed by Freddy Krueger himself – ROBERT ENGLUND; a beautiful clear signature that includes his character name – FREDDY KRUEGER, written in a silver pen that contrasts incredibly strongly against the black background. It’s unusual to have a full character name with Englund most commonly signing only Freddy K. Signed at the Horrified event held in April 2025 (see photo of Robert signing the exact poster you are buying) this is an impressive item of cinematic horror movie memorabilia from one of the defining horror movie characters’ himself – ROBERT ENGLUND – FREDDY KRUEGER.
Trivia: Freddy Krueger was designed by Wes Craven to be the typical “silent” serial killer, such as Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers. However, in the sequels, Freddy developed a cheeky persona that enabled him to be the black-humored villain.

After the acclaim artist Graham Humphreys’ earned after his outstanding work on the British marketing campaign for Wes Craven’s “A Nightmare on Elm Street” it came as no surprise that he was commissioned once again for the sequel “A Nightmare on Elm Street: Part 2 – Freddy’s Revenge”. With the success of the character Freddy is no longer a horror character to keep hidden on the advertising material and Humphreys certainly doesn’t hold back as Krueger’s fire scarred visage takes up nearly all of the poster with his (now familiar) battered fedora and razor bladed glove included in the imagery. Setting a high bench mark for modern horror artwork Humphreys’ imagery was only used for the UK quad design and is one of the most sought after film posters of the 80’s and the horror genre. Graham Humpreys has been dubbed England’s greatest living horror artist and it’s not hard to see why when you see this beautiful film poster from first year of release 1985. Totally original and unrestored, this rolled (as issued) example is presented in excellent condition with, unusually for a horror poster some incredibly bright colours. Extremely scarce and a must have for the serious collector it represents a fantastic item of horror movie memorabilia. The best I have ever offered for sale or seen – it really is exceptional and perfect for investment or to just enjoy.
Trivia: The original glove from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) was used in this movie and was also seen hanging on the wall of the work shed in Evil Dead II (1987). This was in response to the use of The Evil Dead (1981) on a television screen in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and part of a continued banter between directors Wes Craven and Sam Raimi. However, when Wes Craven loaned the glove to the A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) set, it was lost but eventually found by a Freddy fan, Mike Becker, at an auction in 2009.

Zombies, Nazis, stranded holiday makers and Peter Cushing…if this sounds like your kind of fun then you probably are a fan of Ken Wiederhorn’s enjoyable horror romp “Almost Human” (AKA Shock Waves). Nostalgic 70’s hokum that is complemented by a first rate film poster as the SS ‘Death Corps’ take centre stage in a great example of horror artwork…good use of bold day-glo colours in the title and striking well balanced design. Certainly a rare find and even more so in such excellent high grade condition. Originally rolled (as issued) this 1977 UK quad film poster is offered in superb unrestored condition and presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a rare piece of hugely collectable original 70’s horror movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The zombies weren’t originally supposed to be wearing goggles but when extra Max Trumpton returned from recent glaucoma surgery in protective eyewear the director liked the ‘look’ so much he instructed the wardrobe department to make a pair for each zombie.

A truly influential genre great…John Landis’ tongue in cheek werewolf horror romp “An American Werewolf in London”. This original 1981 UK quad film poster is stunning; great imagery as we see David before (very nude) and after (the best cinematic werewolf transformation ?) in incredible snarling wolf man mode. Very in your face and not at all as understated and restrained as the US one sheet version. With unique British design this is an extremely desirable, very rare poster from a “golden age” of physical movie special effects with Rick Baker winning the Oscar for Best Makeup. Presented in original, unrestored condition this folded (as issued) example displays very with only minor handling wear and represents a fantastic item of original horror movie memorabilia from a classic of the genre.…“I vote we go back to the Slaughtered Lamb”
Trivia: Rick Baker claimed to have been disappointed by the amount of time spent shooting the face changing shot for the transformation after having spent months working on the mechanism. John Landis only required one take lasting about seven seconds. Baker felt he had wasted his time until seeing the film with an audience that applauded during that one seven second shot.

John Landis’ “An American Werewolf in London” is one of the best werewolf movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this has one of the best human/werewolf transformation scenes in cinematic history. Unlike modern monster/horror movies of today, this film has no CGI or computer-aided special effects; what you see on the screen is a physical production made piece for which Rick Baker won the Oscar. This 2022 Artist Proof has not only been signed by the artist Matt Ferguson, but also the two main actors David Naughton, who played David Kessler and his best friend Jack, played by Griffin Dunne. Both actors have signed in red ink and added their character names and annotations – Naughton has written “Lovely stroll on the Moors!” and Dunne “I vote we go back to the Slaughtered Lamb”. It’s a proper horror poster as David (David Naughton) and Jack (Griffin Dunne) are seen walking across the fog bathed moors with the title finished with a spot varnish in a bright red dripping blood style. Presented in excellent condition with only minimal wear from the signings, this rolled (as issued) example is an impressive piece of horror poster artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster autographed by the actors depicted on the poster. “I vote we go back to the Slaughtered Lamb”

A personal favourite and quite simply a stunning looking film poster for Francis Ford Coppola’s multi award winning Vietnam war epic “Apocalypse Now”. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Coppola’s 1979 masterpiece with any paper hugely desirable and the Japanese B2 film poster offered here is no exception. This version features a design unique to Japan which utilises the iconic ‘helicopters in the sunset’ artwork created by Bob Peak for the US & British posters with two incredible photo images of Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) & assassin Benjamin Willard (Martin Sheen) dominating the foreground. A poster with truly memorable imagery for Coppola’s voyage into the ‘Heart of Darkness’. Originally rolled (as issued) with amazing dark colour tones this totally unrestored example presents and displays to very good effect with only minimal handling wear that represents a beautiful piece of original movie memorabilia from one of the finest film’s ever made…“Napalm, son. A personal favourite and quite simply a stunning film poster for Francis Ford Coppola’s multi award winning Vietnam war epic “Apocalypse Now”. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Coppola’s 1979 masterpiece with any paper hugely desirable and the German A1 film poster offered here is no exception. This design was created by Bob Peak featuring an outstanding close up image of a shaven headed Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) offset against a dark black background…truly memorable imagery for Coppola’s voyage into the ‘Heart of Darkness’. Peak’s campaign artwork for Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now is widely regarded as one of the great and most iconic poster designs, winning an Award of Excellence from The Society of Illustrators in 1980. So it was no surprise that in 2021 when Mondo issued a remastered screenprint licensed by Zoetrope Productions with production and colour separations handled by Jason Edmiston, Jon Smith, Shane Mahn and Peak’s son Alex, it sold out immediately. From a hand-numbered edition of 425, this is #335. Originally rolled (as issued) with an amazing colour palette this outstanding example presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a beautiful alternative movie poster from one of the finest film’s ever made…“Napalm, son.
