Acclaimed film maker Alejandro G. Iñárritu not only directed, co-wrote and produced the multi award winning 2014 movie “BiRDMAN” (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) but he also took a keen interest in the overall marketing campaign and promotion of the film. Fox Searchlight partnered with highbrow blog Badass Digest to present a series of stylish minimalist posters that depict Birdman–the hero that Michael Keaton’s character is famous for portraying in the film–posed alongside world famous landmarks. with the idea that Birdman is heroically protecting everyone across the globe. Offered here is Mark W. Carroll’s artwork showing Birdman in Rome, Italy atop the Colosseum. “Go back to where it all began. She’s Done Running From Her Past!”
Creative design agency LA pulled out all the stops when they issued the marketing campaign posters for the Marvel Studios’ long-awaited blockbuster “Black Widow”. This original 2021 US / International style one-sheet movie poster for Marvel’s all action super hero romp is certainly impressive with Natasha Romanoff, better known as the deadly ‘Black Widow’ beautifully realised and taking centre stage; standing proud and battle ready. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays and presents to excellent effect. One of the best looking posters to date for any of the prolific Marvel Studios releases with spectacular imagery. A hugely important and collectable piece of movie memorabilia from the Studio that can do no wrong for if first appearances in movies follows the same trend as the comics then with their rumoured appearances in the forthcoming ‘Thunderbolts’ production of Florence Pugh, Taskmaster and Red Guardian appearing in this instalment it is a must have item that represents a fine piece of collectable modern cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Black Widow’s wrist-mounted tasers, commonly referred to as her Widow bites or gauntlets, for the first time are painted gold. This is an homage to Natasha’s classic Black Widow costume from the comics, which was an all-black suit with a gold ringed belt and gold gauntlets.

“Transylvania, land of dark forests, dread mountains and black, unfathomed lakes. Still the home of magic and devilry as the nineteenth century draws to it’s close. Count Dracula, monarch of all vampires, is dead, but his disciples live on, to spread the cult and corrupt the world.!”
Terence Fisher’s “Brides of Dracula” is my top three favourite Hammer Film. Wonderfully written, superbly acted. Peter Cushing is a joy to behold as Van Helsing. His memorable scene in which he exsises the vampires bite from his neck is iconic. Hammer’s follow up to their hugely successful Dracula (Horror of in some territories). Featuring a version of the beautiful painted artwork used on the British quad, this original Spanish one-sheet from 1960 is a genuine thing of beauty where the imagery (in my humble opinion) suits the portrait format better than the landscape format of the quad. Colours are superb, with the ‘blood’ red of the title particularly vibrant. Originally folded (as issued), this rare example has been conservation linen backed and looks absolutely superb with the fold lines having been touched in it now appears rolled. An extremely desirable and collectable item of horror movie cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: The front doors of Oakely Court served as the main entrance to Meinster Castle. Oakley Court has been featured in a number of classic horror films, including The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), The Horror of Dracula (1958), The Evil of Frankenstein (1964), Die, Monster, Die (1965), and The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).

“There is nothing in the dark that isn’t there in the light. Except fear”
An original 1991 US/International one-sheet film poster for Martin Scorsese’s suspenseful horror, thriller “Cape Fear”. Designed by Tom Martin and John Alvin, this is an incredible looking poster – the menace in De Niro’s stare is truly unsettling. Offered rolled (as issued) it presents to excellent effect with amazing dark colour tones, enhanced with blue touches giving not just the effect of water but also a lightening strike (so integral to the film’s finale). The water effect is further highlighted by the wave effect in the lower half of the poster – this is part of the printing with the poster itself presenting perfectly flat. An impressive and desirable film poster that represents a fantastic piece of modern horror cinematic memorabilia appealing to movie poster collectors and fans of Scorsese and De Niro.
Trivia: Gregory Peck, who starred in Cape Fear (1962), appears as Cady’s lawyer. Robert Mitchum played Max Cady in the 1962 version, and appears as Lieutenant Elgart. Martin Balsam played Mark Dutton in the 1962 version, and the judge in this version.

Based upon photography by Michael Muller, BLT Communications LLC have created a truly dynamic ‘origin’ poster for the inaugural cinema outing for one of the corner stone characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe “Captain America: The First Avenger”. This original ‘Cast Style’ 2011 UK quad film poster for Marvel’s all action super hero romp for the iconic ‘Captain’ and is certainly impressive and perfectly suited to the portrait format of the one-sheet. Trivia: Originally cameo appearances were planned in the film for James “Logan” Howlett (Wolverine) and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), who were present during World War II (Logan was a soldier and Lehnsherr was in an internment camp). These cameos were scrapped due to rights issues.

The character depicted is the cosmically powered super-heroine Carol Danvers sporting her red, white, and blue Earth uniform. This is a hand numbered regular edition of 1725 with this being #1008. Originally flat & unfolded (as issued) this superb example displays to impressive effect (honestly the photo does not do this justice…needs to be seen), perfectly suited to this portrait format. “Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.”
Roman Polanski’s “Chinatown” is one of cinemas finest detective movies accompanied by an incredible marketing campaign headed by Jim Pearsall in 1974. This multi-award winning film has been complemented by a series of alternative movie posters over the years with this most recent commission by Laurent Durieux is the best and destined as a future classic. Much like a fine wine Durieux’s art prints age very well, getting better and better with each viewing. and he has produced an outstanding addition to the title, truly eye-catching and super stylish. The deep, rich colours are predominantly blues and purples with ‘Chinatown’ printed in contrasting bright pink ink. Originally rolled (as issued) this signed and hand-numbered offering (#175/500) looks and displays to excellent effect with very minimal handling wear. An extremely scarce, selling out in near record time modern art print, collectable item of movie memorabilia from a true Hollywood classic.
Trivia: There is a rumour that this was the first part of a planned trilogy written by Robert Towne about J.J. “Jake” Gittes and Los Angeles. The second part, The Two Jakes (1990), was directed by Jack Nicholson. The supposed third part never existed, as later confirmed by the writer; however, certain elements and details of the story (a corrupt company called Cloverleaf tries to buy up all public transportation in order to replace it with freeways) would later end up in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), which was a film-noir spoof/homage of Chinatown.
The interesting thing about the trilogy concept is that they focused on the three things that were instrumental in making Los Angeles grow the way that it did, which is via the control of water, real estate, and transportation.

“Sex… Power… Too much money… What do you get a ‘Prince’ that has everything?”…Photographs truly do not do justice to this poster, it looks fantastic…Real quality design and execution from Ignition Print. Based upon the “true story” well truish of Prince Uday Hussein (Sadam’s son) body double, this original US One Sheet for Lee Tamahori’s 2011 “The Devil’s Double” displays superbly. Rolled and probably unused it is presented here in INVESTMENT GRADE condition.

“Clawing Monster From A Lost Age strikes from the Amazon’s forbidden depths !”
This elusive one sheet’s greatness lies in its impressive design with only the neon green and yellow eyes of the title character (Countess Marya Zaleska) “Dracula’s Daughter” projecting through the ominously onyx black background, as the title “drips” in the same garish colours just below. The Daughter of Dracula, is played with true mystique by Gloria Holden in a spectacular sequel to Universal’s sensational “Dracula” (1931). Original 1936 paper from this early horror classic is extremely scarce, with only one known example of the one-sheet ever being publicly offered to the market. With an original one-sheet costing tens of thousands of pounds this S2 Art Group recreation is a fine, high quality and genuinely rare alternative, produced to an extremely high standard and printed on to heavy duty fine art paper. S2 bought 100-year-old lithograph presses, completely refurbished them, and created stone slabs that allowed them to make nearly perfect replicas of this classic movie poster. They were printed in exactly the same way the posters were originally printed, re-creating them down to the finest detail within the art, and even including the tiny writing from the bottom of the poster. Printed in 2000 in very limited numbers (hand written #91), each has the name of the person who prepared the plates and the date of the printing in the bottom border of the art. It is a super high quality stone litho print that measures the same as a regular one-sheet 27″ x 41″ (69 x 104 cm). This really is a beautiful print and represents an incredible looking item of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Gloria Holden repeats Bela Lugosi’s famous line, “I never drink…wine” during Lady Hammond’s party.

Stunning example of perhaps one of the most memorable and recognisable film posters to come out of the 60’s…Dennis Hopper’s cult hugely influential motorbike road movie “Easy Rider”. Fantastic pop art design and use of bold colours which literally do ‘pop’ out from from the paper of this original 1969 Japanese B2 film poster. Subtle imagery of lead character Wyatt (Peter Fonda), almost hidden in the overall design. Originally rolled (as issued) this original unrestored example is a very rare find in this high grade condition and represents a very collectable and desirable example of cinema movie memorabilia for one of the defining cultural movies of the psychedelic 60’s appealing to film and motorcycle collectors…The ultimate ‘road’ movie !
Trivia: The Captain America jacket worn and designed designed by Peter Fonda was made by “two little old ladies” in Los Angeles. It was later sold at a charity auction.
