Designed by BLT Communications, LLC offered here is a final release design, double sided one-sheet from the blockbuster movie of 2008, “The Dark Knight”, the incredibly successful sequel to “Batman Begins” and (for the one & only time) Heath Ledger’s show stopping turn as ‘The Joker’. Where the previous ‘teaser’ posters had highlighted ‘The Joker’ this style firmly pushes a heroic Batman with the hint of his troubles to come illustrated by a flaming bat logo. The gritty dark colours are perfectly rendered allowing the burning bat logo to draw the eye. Originally rolled (as issued) this stunning country of origin, US one-sheet poster presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a truly desirable piece of original Batman movie memorabilia from a trilogy that has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: The Joker’s mask during the initial bank robbery is almost exactly the same as the mask worn by Cesar Romero when hijacking a performance of Pagliacci in the original Batman(1966) television series.

“Out of the darkness…comes the Knight.”
There were some outstanding posters produced for Christopher Nolan’s 2008 “Batman Begins” sequel “The Dark Knight” but this advance “Coming Soon” teaser takes the plaudits…a truly stunning looking film poster designed by Crew Creative Advertising. This International one sheet was printed in USA for use in United Kingdom and Europe and depicts the Batman silhouetted against a striking city scape and is the rarest of any paper for the movie. The photograph really doesn’t do this poster justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to magnificent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of modern original movie memorabilia from a truly outstanding film franchise and an icon of modern pop culture…“The night is darkest before the dawn.”
Trivia: In Sir Michael Caine‘s opinion, Heath Ledger beat the odds and topped Jack Nicholson‘s Joker from Batman (1989): “Jack was like a clown figure, benign but wicked, maybe a killer old uncle. He could be funny and make you laugh. Heath’s gone in a completely different direction to Jack, he’s like a really scary psychopath. He’s a lovely guy and his Joker is going to be a hell of a revelation in this picture.” Caine bases this belief on a scene where The Joker pays a visit to Bruce Wayne’s penthouse. He’d never met Ledger before, so when Ledger arrived and performed, he gave Caine such a fright, he forgot his lines.

In the comics Bane famously broke Batman’s back – Does the shattered Bat cowl tease that this time he goes one further ? Dark and stylish. The Japanese lettering perfectly suits the imagery, totally enhancing the overall effect. Original 2012 International ‘Coming Soon’ one sheet cinema poster for Christopher Nolan’s epic conclusion to his acclaimed Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises”, starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.

Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed Batman trilogy reaches its monumental conclusion in this matching pair of original UK Quad cinema posters for “The Dark Knight Rises”. Designed by the creative agency, Art Machine and offered together as a set of two, the complementary Batman and Bane styles capture the film’s central conflict and the chaos engulfing Gotham City.
The Batman-style poster shows Christian Bale’s Dark Knight standing defiantly above a damaged police car, surrounded by officers, crowds and clouds of debris. Its companion places Tom Hardy’s imposing Bane upon the Tumbler amid fire, smoke and his assembled followers. Together, the designs create a powerful visual contrast between Gotham’s returning protector and the masked revolutionary threatening its destruction.
Each poster measures 30 × 40 inches and features the concluding tagline, “The Legend Ends.” Both examples are presented rolled and remain in excellent condition. An all-action sci-fi vista of a film poster for Glen A. Larson’s ‘epic’ “Battlestar Galactica”. Receiving a full cinematic release it was an edited together version of three TV shows released in the USA largely to cash in, on the still very popular ‘Star Wars’ phenomena. With some colourful, dynamic sci-fi artwork by Robert Tanenbaum (a homage to Tom Chantrell’s famous art for ‘Star Wars’ perhaps ?) this original 1978 country of origin US one-sheet movie poster is presented in original unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays to impactful effect with light age and handling wear; colours are deep and unfaded with some truly rip roaring laser blasting, robot, space ship adventure imagery. A cool item that represents a fantastic piece of very collectable and desirable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and hugely popular film and TV franchise.
Trivia: John Dykstra, who worked on Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) used much of the technology developed for ILM in this movie, including his motion control camera, the so-called “Dykstraflex”.

A surreal looking Polish One-Sheet for Hal Ashby’s Oscar winning “Being There” (1979) with artwork by Maria ‘Mucha’ Ihnatowicz for the first Polish release in 1982. With bright colours and distinctive painted illustration, it is a perfect complement to what is a excellent (dark) comedy film featuring a standout performance by Peter Sellers. A beautiful, stylish piece of film poster art that is unique to this Polish release. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored 1979 example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents one of the most collectable Peter Sellers’ film posters available.
Trivia: It took Peter Sellers nearly nine years to get this movie made by a studio, mainly because by the 1970s Sellers’ career had hit rock bottom and no studio in Hollywood would work with him. After the revival (and success) of the Pink Panther movies, Lorimar Pictures finally greenlit the project.

Acclaimed film maker Alejandro G. Iñárritu not only directed, co-wrote and produced the multi award winning 2014 movie “BiRDMAN” (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) but he also took a keen interest in the overall marketing campaign and promotion of the film. Fox Searchlight partnered with highbrow blog Badass Digest to present a series of stylish minimalist posters that depict Birdman–the hero that Michael Keaton’s character is famous for portraying in the film–posed alongside world famous landmarks. with the idea that Birdman is heroically protecting everyone across the globe. Offered here is Mark W. Carroll’s artwork showing Birdman in London, England, atop the Houses of Parliament with the silhouette of Big Ben an eye-catching backdrop. Presented in excellent original rolled (as issued) condition this superb example represents a highly desirable and collectable item of original film movie memorabilia for one of Hollywood’s best regarded and talented emerging young directors; Alejandro G.
