Quentin Tarantino’s 4th Film…“Kill Bill” is a bloody, revenge driven, martial arts epic. Released in 2003 it proved a huge success and much like previous Tarantino movie merchandising the film posters became very collectable. Uma Thurman is not your normal bride and she is featured here expertly wielding her signature Katana sword on this stylish first year of release, 2003 Japanese B2 film poster with imagery that features both English and Japanese text – for me, this really fits the vibe of the movie. Trivia: The Bride’s yellow outfit was inspired by the outfit worn by Bruce Lee in his final film, Game of Death (1978).

The ‘Bride’ dressed as a bride for Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” sequel, the imaginatively titled “Kill Bill: Volume 2”. Although a relatively recent release any paper for Edgar Wright’s 2021 horror mystery “Last Night in Soho” is highly desirable. Not only because it is such a stylish and cool thriller movie but because of a beautiful painted movie poster created by artist, James Paterson. Although a huge success with audiences and critics alike the movie is considered somewhat ‘art-house’ and had a very limited cinema release resulting in the scarcity of the posters used in the marketing campaign with this particular example being an English language text style used for the Japanese release. Originally rolled (as issued) this Japanese B2 movie poster looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear with imagery perfectly suited to the portrait style format; the bold colours are particularly vibrant. A scarce, ‘modern’ original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks very very cool !
Trivia: The drink ordered by Sandie early on in the film is a Vesper created by Ian Fleming in the 1953 James Bond novel Casino Royale. The character Vesper Lynd was portrayed by Eva Green in Casino Royale (2006).

The rarest of the rare, (as predominantly printed in English) with a very low print run, that’s what this original 1971 Japan B2 film poster for “Le Mans” is. Quite frankly one of the finest Steve McQueen motor-racing images ever produced. Originally rolled this example presents near perfectly; Genuinely very very scarce and becoming hard to find due to the Film’s very limited release in it’s day. Now an iconic and much admired motor racing movie showing just why Steve McQueen was the true King of Cool ! Trivia: Steve McQueen‘s blood type (Group O, Reh D neg) is shown on the back of his helmet. This was common at the time and drivers would show blood types either on the helmets or clothing.

A absolutely stunning Japanese B2 film poster for one of the best vampire films ever made…Joel Schumacher’s “The Lost Boys”. Featuring country unique artwork by the Japanese artist Akira Yokoyama, this really is one of the best examples created for this cult horror-comedy title. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents to excellent effect. This is THE teenage angst vampire movie with this high grade poster showcasing the teen vampires in all their undead glory…“Something I never could stomach about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires!”
Trivia: In the cave of the Lost Boys, you can see a poster of Jim Morrison, who recorded the original version of “People are Strange” with The Doors. Also, when Star and Laddie are being carried into Sam’s room, you can see a poster of Echo & The Bunnymen, who recorded the version used in the movie.

A complete set of all eight (8) US lobby cards presented in totally original unrestored condition. An absolutely fantastic collection of images from 1983, in what was to become a memorable screen role for David Bowie as Jack Celliers in Nagisa Ôshima’s “Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence”. The imagery chosen for the eight cards perfectly capture the whole feel of the movie with Bowie featured on six leaving Tom Conti, as the titular Mr. Lawrence and a prisoner of war riot to complete the set. Incredibly hard to source as a complete and in this high grade condition, as most sets were split as music fans focussed on the six cards highlighting Bowie. These, unfolded, flat (as issued) examples present and display to excellent effect and represent a really exciting music/movie collectable from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: David Bowie was cast in the role of Major Jack Celliers after director Nagisa Ôshima saw a performance of his on the stage in a Broadway production of ‘The Elephant Man’.
