Released in 2014 as the third instalment of The Art of Ken Taylor through Mondo. This screenprint depiction of Julie Newmar as Catwoman is stunning and a great tribute to the Feline Femme Fatale. It captures the seduction Newmar brought to the character while conveying the light-hearted feel of the beloved 1960s Batman TV series. This is the Regular orange background edition which is hand-numbered #124 out of 275 and signed by the artist. I am a huge Batman fan (all incarnations) and this is one of my favourite Batman posters, a great fun item and a fantastict item of collectable memorabilia from an icon of modern pop culture.
Trivia: Originally planned as the pilot film for the Batman (1966) TV series, the movie was instead produced between the show’s first and second seasons. The producers took advantage of the larger budget to have a number of new Bat-gadgets constructed, such as the BatBoat.

…more detailRightly regarded as one of the key and most collectable movie posters for a film that created its own unique genre and provided the vehicle to launch Bruce Lee (albeit briefly) as a screen & cultural icon. Bob Peak created the artwork and his design was used globally as the imagery became as memorable as its late star. Whilst the core artwork remained the same slight variations appeared in different countries with this Japanese re-issue one-sheet format probably the most striking as the action imagery (including a nunchuk wielding Bruce Lee) was offset against a black background. Offered here is an exceptional Japanese B1 film poster for “Enter the Dragon” from the 1997 re-release, finished with a high gloss sheen it presents to stunning effect and displays minimal handling wear. This originally rolled (as issued) example is rarely seen in this large Japanese format and in such high grade unrestored investment grade condition. A striking piece that represents an extremely scarce and collectable example of original movie memorabilia & a fitting tribute to the martial arts legend BRUCE LEE.
Trivia: In 2004, this movie was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” in the United States and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

“Godzilla, a weapon of science, a great battle of wonder and terror! “
To celebrate the 70th Anniversary for Ishiro Honda’s iconic monster movie “Godzilla” or Gojira to give it its correct title, Bottleneck Gallery have released in association with TOHO Studios a remastered version of the original, country of origin Japanese B2 used in 1954 to promote the film in Japan. As to be expected the modern printing techniques have helped to create a stunning, updated poster, with this limited edition offering further enhanced by being printed on a foil paper. This adds a real depth to the overall effect and allows the lighter colours to shimmer when viewed from different angles – giving the effect of movement. Hand-Numbered #23 of only 100 it presents to excellent effect and is a perfect example of why alternative movie posters are becoming so collectable.
Trivia: A common misconception is that the name of Godzilla was created by its U.S. distributors. The name was actually the idea of Toho and its international sales division, who would transliterate “Gojira” (Go-ji-ra) into English as “Godzilla” (Go-dzi-lla”).

Hugely desirable and very collectable, it would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia and is an impressive 007 film poster from the Roger Moore run in the series.
Trivia: Producer Albert R. Broccoli complained that Maurice Binder‘s title sequence cost more than the entire budget of Dr. No (1962).

Paul Shipper has produced an incredible piece of movie related artwork, the front cover art for Neca Toys “Ultimate MacReady” action figure released in 2021 for John Carpenter’s “The Thing”. With flamethrower in hand, Kurt Russell stands ready and is surrounded by a bright white light, paying homage to Drew Struzan’s iconic US one-sheet artwork. The background explores the whole mid to light blue colour palette that exudes the feeling of cold.
