Long before Tim Burton re-invented him and Chris Chris Nolan re-imagined him there was “Batman” 1960’s style, as the decade’s most popular TV show was bat-ransported to the big screen. Such a gloriously camp, cheesy movie deserves a special poster and this original Limited Edition Martin Ansin lithograph doesn’t disappoint. Produced by Mondo Galleries for the “75 Years of Batman” anniversary these specially commissioned posters sold out immediately on release to the public. Featuring Batman, Robin and a gallery of all their nefarious villains it certainly is a WOW factor poster; unrestored with deep rich colours and beautiful graphics, this originally rolled example is numbered #4 from a print run of only 375 and a very cool looking poster…I am a huge Batman fan (all incarnations) and this is one of my favourite Batman posters…A rare chance to purchase one of the scarcest Batman posters ever produced and a magnificent item of collectable movie memorabilia from an icon of modern pop culture.

Trivia: Adam West has often referred to Batman as one of the three big “B”s to have made an impact during the 1960s, the other two being The Beatles and Bond, James Bond.

Original 1967, first year of release Japanese STB/Tatekan movie poster for the Stanley Donen seven deadly sins comedy “Bedazzled”. After the success of the first two series of British TV show “Not Only … But Also” (1965-1970), comic duo Dudley Moore and Peter Cook star in their second big screen outing. “Bedazzled” sees Stanley Moon (Moore) sell his soul to The Devil (Cooke) in exchange for seven wishes. Raquel Welch features as Lust and, with her climb to fame from “One Million Years B.C”. Japanese posters put her front and centre for the obvious sex appeal. The Japanese tatekan poster (as offered here) is printed in two pieces which were designed to be pasted together on the bill boards. Far rarer, and more striking than the more common Japanese B2 posters, they are highly sought after. Eye catching, country unique design, exclusive to the Japanese release this excellent rolled, flat/unfolded example displays superbly and represents one of the most colourful and best looking posters from the period and an amazing example of cinema memorabilia.
Trivia: Although Raquel Welch is featured in most of the promotional material for this movie, she is on-screen for only roughly seven minutes.

“Penguin, Joker, Riddler and Catwoman, too ! The sum of the angles of that rectangle is too monstrous to contemplate !”
Released in 2014 as the third instalment of The Art of Ken Taylor through Mondo. This screenprint depiction of Julie Newmar as Catwoman is stunning and a great tribute to the Feline Femme Fatale. It captures the seduction Newmar brought to the character while conveying the light-hearted feel of the beloved 1960s Batman TV series. This is the Regular orange background edition which is hand-numbered #124 out of 275 and signed by the artist. I am a huge Batman fan (all incarnations) and this is one of my favourite Batman posters, a great fun item and a fantastict item of collectable memorabilia from an icon of modern pop culture.
Trivia: Originally planned as the pilot film for the Batman (1966) TV series, the movie was instead produced between the show’s first and second seasons. The producers took advantage of the larger budget to have a number of new Bat-gadgets constructed, such as the BatBoat.

It’s The National Sport!”…Beautiful Country unique example of this original 1977 Japan B2 film poster featuring Sylvester Stallone (in a very early pre-Rocky role) amd combining elements of the excellent US One sheet. This is truly INVESTMENT GRADE QUALITY being originally rolled with unfaded deep rich colours and stunning imagery make for an extremely desirable and rare movie poster from a genre that is becoming increasingly sought after.

“The Time: Now. The Place: Kings Road, Chelsea. The Killer: Count Dracula !“
Some truly horrific photo montage artwork for “Dracula A.D.1972” makes this Japanese B2 film poster from 1972 (would you believe it ?) one of my personal favourite Hammer posters. It’s more than you can shake stake at with Caroline Munro and Stephanie Beacham certainly putting the glamour into Hammer ! And if that doesn’t appeal totally stealing the action is one of the coolest British cars ever made; the beautiful Triumph Stag and dominating the imagery, a particularly eerie shot of Christopher Lee as the titular Count. In very good condition with only minor handling wear this fantastic folded (as issued) example presents superbly. A lovely example of Hammer Horror memorabilia for one of my personal favourite Dracula films.
Trivia: “Alucard”, Johnny’s last name, is “Dracula” spelled backward.

Rightly regarded as one of the key and most collectable movie posters for a film that created its own unique genre and provided the vehicle to launch Bruce Lee (albeit briefly) as a screen & cultural icon. Bob Peak created the artwork and his design was used globally as the imagery became as memorable as its late star. Whilst the core artwork remained the same slight variations appeared in different countries with this Japanese re-issue one-sheet format probably the most striking as the action imagery (including a nunchuk wielding Bruce Lee) was offset against a black background. Offered here is an exceptional Japanese B1 film poster for “Enter the Dragon” from the 1997 re-release, finished with a high gloss sheen it presents to stunning effect and displays minimal handling wear. This originally rolled (as issued) example is rarely seen in this large Japanese format and in such high grade unrestored investment grade condition. A striking piece that represents an extremely scarce and collectable example of original movie memorabilia & a fitting tribute to the martial arts legend BRUCE LEE.
Trivia: In 2004, this movie was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” in the United States and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

Say something outrageous”…Any paper from this cult punk rock film is extremely sought after and this example is easily the rarest…An iconic punk image; Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious performing against the distressed backdrop of the Union Jack flag in Julien Temple’s “No Future: A Sex Pistols Film”. The Japanese title for his Sex Pistols biopic “The Filth and Fury”. This original large format Japan B1 from first year of release 2000 is an extremely rare film poster. (I have not seen another one advertised for a good few years) This rolled example is the “on stage” version and is printed (unlike other Japan posters) on a heavy stock paper. It is immaculate and displays superbly …An fantastic piece of music/film/cultural memorabilia presented in investment grade condition !…Using one of punk’s most memorable images around the border; Jamie Reid’s depiction of the Queen with a safety pin through Her mouth is a great finishing touch.

“A Terrifying Tale Of Sluts And Bolts.”
An absolutely stunning Japanese B2 film poster for one of the greatest cult horror movies ever made…Frank Henenlotter‘s “Frankenhooker”. Featuring incredible country unique artwork, this really is one of the best examples created for this cult horror-comedy title. Any paper for this title is extremely sought after and also ultra scarce, with this being the first time we have ever offered something for sale – and we are delighted that it is this Japanese B2, which has always been a personal favourite of mine. The finish is superb with neon, pink, green and blues popping from the paper (this day-glo effect is further enhanced by the high gloss finish – this does make it hard to photograph) Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents scarce cinematic movie memorabilia for a film that has become one of the most desirable titles of the genre…“She’s hot. She’s sexy. And she’s sutured to please.”
Trivia: Elizabeth has the last name of Shelley. This is an homage to Mary Shelley, the author of the original “Frankenstein”.

A marvellous example of sexually suggestive swinging sixties movie posters, a 1968 Japanese B2 film poster for Jack Cardiff’s cult psychedelic ‘road’ movie “Girl on a Motorcycle”. The style and design of this Japanese B2 example is perfectly suited by the portrait format with a marvellous full length body shot of Marianne Faithfull in leather biker suit. Unrestored and offered in excellent original condition with deep and unfaded colours. Highly collectable and an extremely scarce piece of original cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Marianne Faithfull‘s gift motorcycle is a Harley Davidson Electra Glide; Alain Delon rides a 750cc Norton Atlas.

“The sleaze-filled saga of an exploitation double feature”…A very rare original 2007 Japan Chirashi for the Tarantino / Rodriguez 70’s double bill homage “Grindhouse” featuring eye-catching country unique artwork as only the Japanese can do. Originally folded (as all of these are) it looks & displays superbly…a Chirashi is an original Japanese film poster that’s double sided; image of the poster is on one side & the film’s details & extra photos printed on the other…A rare find in this format.

“They’re bad boys. They’re die hards. They’re lethal weapons. They are… Hot Fuzz.”
Original 2007 Japanese B2 movie poster for the Pegg/Frost/Wright collaboration “Hot Fuzz”. A poster that is genuinely scarce due to a limited cinema release in Japan and like the makers’ previous collaboration “Shaun of the Dead” it has very quickly gained a cult following. “Hot Fuzz” satirises American action films in a way that an American satire would not. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg don’t simply spoof the plot threads and the car chases. They know the smaller details of Hollywood’s formula, as they exemplify with its continuous references to the scene in Point Break where Keanu Reeves fires his gun into the sky in anger and the scene in Bad Boys II where Martin Lawrence, in a circling tracking shot, says, “S*** just got real.” Not only do they tackle those less clear characteristics of Hollywood, they also perfectly portray people who talk about awesome scenes in action movies, hilariously by Nick Frost. Eye catching, country unique design cleverly using the Union Jack flag as a backdrop for our heroes – Nicholas Angel (Pegg) & Danny Butterman (Frost). his excellent rolled example displays superbly and represents a super example of cinema memorabilia.
Trivia: As this is the second part of the Cornetto Trilogy, the blue wrapper makes its appearance in the film. Nick and Danny are seen eating vanilla flavor ice cream. According to Edgar Wright, blue represents the police, which is the main motif in the film. For Wright’s other films, Shaun of the Dead (2004), it was red and strawberry flavor, representing blood and zombies, while the final part, The World’s End (2013), it was green and peppermint with chip, representing science fiction and extraterrestrial elements.
