  • AMY Movie Poster

    AMY

    £275.00

    “The girl behind the name”

When released in July “AMY” went on to break UK box office records for a documentary in its opening weekend and has since gone on to become the highest grossing British documentary film of all time. An incredible feat for a film with a very limited release & showing in only a handful of cinemas. Made by the award winning team responsible for the excellent “Senna”, “AMY” tells the heartbreaking story of the late jazz/ blues singer Amy Winehouse. The original UK quad film poster to accompany the release was designed by the creative arts agency Territory Studio, who have produced an eye catching piece.  The advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film posters that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release are truly scarce. Originally rolled this incredibly rare example displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic collectable item of music/ film / cultural memorabilia for a true music icon.

Trivia: Amy Winehouse‘s immediate family were initially willing to work with the film’s producers and director, having heard about the success of their earlier documentary, Senna (2010). They granted the filmmakers access to hours of archive footage of Amy and her family, as well as giving the filmmakers’ their blessing to interview Amy’s family and friends. However, they – in particular, Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse – soon began to feel they were being misrepresented in the documentary, that the negative aspects of Amy’s life were receiving much more attention than the positive, and that footage had been edited in order to produce an inaccurate narrative of Amy’s story, especially the last three years of her life. Mitch Winehouse has said that Amy’s fans should consider seeing the film for the rare, previously unseen, archive footage of his daughter, but should pay no attention to the film’s general portrayal of her, which he has labeled “preposterous”.

  • Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse Movie Poster

Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse

    £125.00

“The film Francis is making is a metaphor for a journey into self. He has made that journey and is still making it. It’s scary to watch someone you love go into the center of himself and confront his fears, fear of failure, fear of death, fear of going insane. You have to fail a little, die a little, go insane a little, to come out the other side. The process is not over for Francis.”

The making of a movie has never been documented with more power to discern the true nature of what is happening behind the scenes than in this account of the torment and the passion of Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now. All of the drama and emotion was filmed and documented by Fax Bahr, George Hickenlooper & Coppola’s own wife, Eleanor then released in 1991 as the documentary “Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse”. In July 2025 to coincide with a 4K Ultra HD Special Edition release, Eleanor Coppola’s remastered movie received a limited number of cinema screenings. These were accompanied by an incredible newly commissioned poster by Akiko Stehrenberger which demonstrates a beautiful use of colour and featuring the helicopter imagery, so memorable from Apocalypse Now’s original 1979 marketing campaign and of course so pivotal in the movie itself. Rolled (as issued) it presents to excellent effect and represents one of the best reimagined cinematic posters in recent years and certainly in the running as the best cinematic poster of 2025.

Trivia: This film has a 100% rating based on 33 critic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

  • Live Forever Movie Poster

    Live Forever

    £225.00

“They’ve never been on a building site. Not to say that that’s, you know; not to say that the dirt under your fingernails is some sort of badge of honor. It’s not. It’s just a fact, you know. They never had a paper route, you know. I had a milk route and stuff like that. I’ve working on building sites. That fundamentally makes my soul a lot more purer than theirs.” — Noel Gallagher on the rivalry with Blur. The best part is that he said it with a straight face.

In 2003 John Dower’s Brit Pop documentary Live Forever was released….Featuring the talents of Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Jarvis Cocker, Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Damon Albarn, Toby Young and Damien Hirst. An excellent documentary capturing the phenomenon of the Britpop passage. It is worth noting that I think that even if you didn’t get the whole Britpop experience it is still worth watching to try and understand exactly what the period of time tried to encapsulate. Dragging Britain from a period of being totally dormant, to generating great music and creating an aura of genuine invincibility. A highlight of the film has to be the Damien Hirst designed UK quad movie poster. A real eye catching, talking piece poster for a movie that quickly became a cult classic. Genuinely scarce and in very short supply due to a limited cinema release. Never commercially available it is believed that there are a small number currently in circulation making genuine examples such as the one of offer here even more desirable.

Limited Edition Damien Hirst prints regularly sell for £1,000+ so this original Live Forever” UK quad movie poster represents exceptional value and it looks really cool !
