A global phenomenon when originally released in 1977 producing (at the time) a multitude of related merchandise including some exceptional posters one of which was a design by revered fantasy artists Drew Struzan & Charlie White. Struzan is now regarded as THE ‘Star Wars’ movie poster artist with this collaboration with White being his first recognised work for the franchise. Very much a favourite among Star Wars collectors the ‘Circus Style D’ artwork was re-used as a US one sheet in 1992 for the 15th Anniversary re-release when printed and distributed by Kilian Enterprises. The print quality and colour saturation is incredible with Kilian considered the best of the best in respect of the limited edition Anniversary posters produced. Presented here in original unrestored condition this excellent rolled (as issued) example has light handling wear, deep unfaded vibrant colours and some of the finest “Star Wars” artwork EVER !…“Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid”

Artist Josh Kirby painted a colourful all action sweeping montage exclusively for the 1983 British release of “Return of the Jedi”. These early version UK quad film posters were nearly all produced slightly trimmed (27″ x 40″) almost entirely for advertising use in the London Underground. Kirby’s design was quickly replaced by Kasu Sano’s updated imagery which featured the Ewoks. Presented here in fantastic unrestored condition this beautiful folded (as issued) example looks magnificent; deep unfaded vibrant colours. A rare example of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what was until “Episode VII – The Force Awakens” released in 2015 was the last true Star Wars movie produced and represents a fantastic example of original Star Wars cinematic movie memorabilia from the defining chapter of the Original Trilogy.
Trivia: After appearing in this movie, Wedge Antilles (Denis Lawson) becomes the only X-wing pilot character (apart from Luke) who survived all three original movies.

For the 40th Anniversary 2023 re-release of the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” Lucasfilm issued this amazing British one-sheet featuring the artwork of Matt Ferguson, the hugely successful artist responsible for some of the most memorable recent Marvel cinematic releases and the award winning, fan favourite 40th Anniversary design for ‘Empire Strikes Back’. This ‘updated’ style features some of the best imagery from this instalment from the original trilogy with Luke Skywalker (now a Jedi Knight) and like many of the 1980 posters a dominant Darth Vader and the iconic scout walkers. Presented here in original unrestored condition this beautiful 2023 rolled (as issued) example has deep unfaded vibrant colour tones and displays to excellent effect with the minimal of handling wear. With an extremely limited cinematic release in both the UK & USA this is a truly scarce poster and highly sought after. This is the first printing of the original release British quad – the earlier version omitted several characters and these were added later. With an updated design by Feref Associates based upon Josh Kirby’s original artwork for the 1983 British release of “Return of the Jedi”. This revised version was produced to be more in keeping with the US campaign by Kazu Sano, it’s darker in feel and now features the Ewoks. Extremely desirable and scarce in the high grade condition offered here, it really is superb and most likely unused. Totally original and unrestored folded (as issued) condition. A fantastic example of original Star Wars cinematic movie memorabilia from what was the defining chapter of the Original Trilogy.
Trivia: It took six people to work the full-sized animatronic of Jabba the Hutt. The puppet fit three men inside -two to operate the arms, head and tongue and another to move the tail. A man lying below the puppet pulled strings to move Jabba’s mouth and make his sides heave. And two radio operators controlled the slimy goon’s eyes, including pupil dilation, direction and wideness of eyelids. A final crew member was responsible for rubbing gel on the puppet to give Jabba his slimy look.

R2-D2 and C3PO have gone on to become iconic and hugely popular, more so probably than the lead characters and really have become the symbol for the franchise featuring in all seven films and became pivotal figures in the massive marketing and merchandising campaign that was to follow. Trivia: The skeleton that C-3PO passes belongs to a Tatooine creature called a Greater Krayt Dragon. This artificial skeleton was left in the Tunisian desert after filming, and still lies there. During filming of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), the site was visited by the crew once more, and the skeleton was still there. In The Mandalorian Chapter 9: The Marshal (2020), locals on Tatooine join with Sand People to fight and kill one of these serpents.

Guaranteed original and presented here in excellent unrestored condition this beautiful rolled (as issued) example has minimal handling wear and looks incredible. Trivia: During the massive crowd celebration scene, C-3PO says that this event happens once every 42 years. This was the time between the first Star Wars movie to be released in 1977 and this film. However, the official time line in The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary states that in the events of this film take place 35 years after that of A New Hope.

Trivia: Boba Fett is never referred to by name in this movie. He is always referred to as “the bounty hunter” by other characters. However, a deleted scene included in the Blu-ray set shows Leia tending to Luke’s wounds and says “a bounty hunter named Boba Fett” has taken Han Solo.

Beautiful, rolled, unrestored 1980 one sheet style commercial movie poster (officially licensed) for the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. This pure artwork imagery (no title or credits) features Roger Kastel’s ‘Gone With the Wind’ artwork featuring a swooning Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) about to be kissed by the romantic hero Han Solo (Harrison Ford)…a Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler in space. Poster printer, Gala were one of the official licensees for aftermarket Star Wars posters sold to the general public band have here used an early alternative design to the regular final release cinematic poster which was recalled from use as Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) was not featured in Kastel’s finished artwork. Being originally rolled (as issued) and totally unrestored this stunning example displays and presents to excellent effect with rich unfaded colour tones. A fans favourite design this impressive item represents a fine addition for any collector of movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.

Instead, he bankrolled the $18 million production himself, using a combination of his profits from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) and a bank loan. Although the move was risky, it paid off several times over. Lucas recovered his investment within three months of the movie’s release.
