Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws’ is probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also caused a surge in cases of aqua phobia (fear of water) and that’s largely attributable to Roger Kastel’s original marketing campaign who created one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! So why reinvent it ? Well, it’s just so popular and one of the most licensed of all titles when it comes to the growing market for alternative movie posters. This artist signed and hand-numbered (#19/25) limited edition Artist Proof print by Graham Humphreys is a real eye-catcher and is considered one of the best and most desirable currently produced; incredible character driven imagery of Chief Brody, Quint, Hooper and of course the 25ft great white shark. A very limited private commission that was sold out prior to release. This originally rolled unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect. Perfect in every way, print quality and colours are truly outstanding. An extremely scarce art poster print that represents a key item of highly sought after modern cinematic memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”
Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

Designed by The Seiniger Advertising Agency with finished artwork by Roger Kastel the poster has attained cult status. Once you’ve seen the film (& who hasn’t) you see the poster and you just can’t get John Williams’ distinctive soundtrack out of your head. This original UK quad for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 masterpiece “Jaws” is for the 50th Anniversary re-release in 2025. Yes it really has been 50 years with this release having a special introduction by Spielberg himself. Although retaining the original artwork, the title has been adapted with 50th Anniversary added with a shark’s fin cleverly styled into the ’50’. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect. Perfect, deep rich colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare original film poster that is only available for this very limited cinematic release with the UK quad being the only landcscape format printed. Being on almost constant release since it premiered in 1981 “Raiders of the Lost Ark” received an updated movie poster for the ‘official’ re-release in 1982. Artistic duties were again assigned to Richard Amsel who produced a more exciting, action packed offering. The overall ancient/papyrus styling remained but now Indiana Jones is featured in trademark bull-whip cracking pose offset against the Ark of the Covenant with the strong supporting cast beautifully rendered around the borders. A better image than the original ? Not really just slightly different and a perfect addition to the canon. This rare classic adventure poster from the ultimate adventure movie presents extremely well and is offered in beautiful rolled, unfolded (as issued) unrestored original condition. A truly fine piece of original country of origin movie memorabilia for a character and franchise that has proved to be one of the best loved and highly successful franchises in film history.
Trivia: Freeze-framing during the Well of Souls scene, you can notice a golden pillar with a tiny engraving of R2-D2 and C-3PO from the Star Wars saga. They are also on the wall behind Indy when they first approach the Ark.

Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays to excellent and memorable effect with incredible colour tones (have I mentioned the colours before ?) One of the best looking posters to date for any of the Marvel Studios’ releases with fantastic super hero artwork that represents a fine piece of collectible modern cinema movie memorabilia. Fantastic to display as is, but if you own a lightbox this is a poster you want to put in it – super stunning when backlit.
Trivia: Thor’s “friend from work” line about The Incredible Hulk was suggested to Chris Hemsworth by a Make-A-Wish child who paid a visit to the set on the day the scene was filmed.
