One of cinemas all time classic movies is Ridley Scott’s Oscar winning deep space horror “Alien”. Spawning numerous cinematic and TV sequels, with Fede Alvarez’ 2024 offering “Alien: Romulus” a personal favourite. With “Alien” and “Aliens” two of the most licensed titles for private commission alternative movie posters it comes as no surprise that “Alien: Romulus” is starting to attract major attention from artists. This 2026 offering from Juan Carlos Ruiz Burgos is an incredible example using thirteen coloured inks that incorporates a glitter acid spot gloss varnish layer and is printed onto neenah pearl bright gold metallic paper – it really is spectacular. Printed in extremely limited numbers with this being #30 from a print run of 75. Hugely collectable and a must have poster for xenomorph fans, this example presents and displays to excellent effect that represents a fantastic piece of cinematic movie memorabilia art.
Trivia: The events of the film take place in the year 2142, exactly 20 years after Alien (1979) (situated in 2122), and 37 years before Aliens (1986) (2179).

Spawning numerous cinematic and TV sequels, with Fede Alvarez’ 2024 offering “Alien: Romulus” a personal favourite. The release was accompanied by an incredible series of high quality posters, but it was this offering here by Matt Ferguson that really stole the show, with artwork that is considered one of the best looking for the whole franchise. So it came as no surprise that Matt’s artwork was adapted to the portrait format and used as the cover art for the 4K, BluRay Steelbook issued by Vice Press. The first 250 of these steelbooks were accompanied by one of these limited edition posters, with the print offered here being #157. These prints have become hugely collectable and a must have poster for xenomorph fans. Offered rolled (as issued) and signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson this example presents and displays to excellent effect that represents a fantastic piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The film’s production design draws not only on the previous films in the series, but also the Alien: Isolation (2014) video game, including the “Emergency” communication stations which served as save points in the game. Fede Alvarez played the game around the time Don’t Breathe (2016) was released, and later said, “I was playing, and realising how terrifying Alien could be if you take it back to that tone.”

“From Roger Moore With Love” is a 2024 documentary charting the life and screen success of Roger Moore using a lot of unseen footage taken by Moore himself, at home and on set and cleverly uses the accomplished actor and comedian, Steve Coogan – doing a near perfect impression of Moore narrating the story with additional input from a number of close friends and Bond co-stars – Joan Collins, Jane Seymour, Michael Caine, Pierce Brosnan and Frank Sinatra. An approach that works really well. Receiving a very limited number of cinematic screenings in a marketing campaign that coincided with the Blu Ray release, these country of origin UK quad posters are incredibly rare and don’t turn up very often especially in this excellent unrestored, originally rolled (as issued) high grade condition. It presents and displays superbly and represents a fine example of a scarce and extremely collectable James Bond related movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In his review for The Guardian, Peter Bradshaw gave the documentary four stars out of five, but criticized the failure to mention Sir Roger Moore‘s performance in The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970) (which was also Moore’s favorite movie role).

“Guardians of the Galaxy”… A bizarre assembly of misfits and losers which includes a gun-wielding genetically altered raccoon and a fighting tree creature whose could only speak a single phrase…“I am Groot”. Marvel was taking a chance, but needn’t have worried…Guardians was critical and commercial juggernaut which redefined the super hero genre and direction Marvel was to take. Being one of the most popular subjects for alternative movie posters, artist Ise Ananphada has created an incredible looking poster. Her hand-numbered #248/275 giclee screen print is a stunning piece that has captured the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and being a giclee print the colours have an amazing, vibrant finish. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely beautiful and a desirable item of modern collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting and cool film franchise.
Trivia: The sensor that Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) looks at when detecting the extra-dimensional creature during the opening of the movie is a modified 1977 Mattel handheld “Electronic Football” video game. Selling over one million units, this was one of the hottest items of Christmas 1977. The beep at the beginning is the “touchdown” sound, whilst the other beeps are the sound of the ball moving down the field.
What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

His hand-numbered #42/100 giclee screen print is the Footloose edition printed on Fedrigoni Sirio Pearl Ice White Paper with a spot varnish finish using twelve (12) different coloured inks. It truly is a stunning piece that has captured the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and being a giclee print the colours have an amazing, vibrant finish. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely beautiful and a desirable item of modern collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting and cool film franchise.

“The most shocking tale of carnage ever seen.”
“House of 1000 Corpses” is a stylish, gore-laden 2003 offering which marks the directorial debut of Trash/Industrial Artist Musician Rob Zombie. Largely unheard of outside Zombie’s fiercely loyal fanbase it grew to be a cult horror classic, proving hugely influential for the low budget flicks that followed. This originally rolled (as issued) 2024 limited edition fine art print (hand-numbered #8/150) by Matt Ryan Tobin displays superbly with great horror imagery, as Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding takes centre stage in incredible kaleidoscope pf colour. Screen printed using glow in the dark inks the whole poster takes on a very different and eerie look when the lights go down (see additional image). A personal favourite and one the best offerings of 2024 that represents a fine example of horror memorabilia and a perfect example of why alternative movie posters are becoming so collectable.
Trivia: Otis’ and Baby’s bizarre rants during the “home movie” segments are inspired by the Charles Manson family’s supposed home movies.

There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence of Batman’s arch nemesis The Joker with this latest offering pairing him with Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) looking to be the best yet. Joaquin Phoenix again stars as Arthur ‘Joker’ Fleck in Todd Phillips’ “Joker: Folie a Deux”. A sequel hugely anticipated by the fans as Phillips presents his own unique take on the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’. Advertising agency Legion Creative have designed a truly stunning teaser poster, featuring the titular Joker and newcomer Harley Quinn with the title ‘Folie a Deux’ cleverly incorporated into the JOKER typography. Much like the first movie which used ‘Put on a Happy Face’ as its tagline, the sequel takes ‘The World is a Stage’ as a clever enticement for the things to come. Originally rolled (as issued) this presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised anti-hero’s.
Trivia: The Joker’s make-up is very similar to John Wayne Gacy‘s, a serial killer who would often entertain children while dressed as Pogo the Clown. This make-up style was shunned by working clowns at the time, as they strictly prohibit “sharp” ends in their make-up, as it scares children.

It’s not often I get a poster in that makes me go WOW ! especially a recent offering. Well this original 2024 UK quad for Wes Ball’s “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is such a poster. The franchise, from its original 1968 beginnings through to the Matt Reeves reboots is a personal favourite of mine and this poster is truly one of the best I have ever seen. The composition, detailed, intricate design by creative arts agency LA & Ten30 Studios is superb. The colours are stunning, deep & unfaded. The “Planet of the Apes” premise is considered one of the pivotal sci-fi movies series’ ever made and this is a worthy addition to the canon that represents a magnificent piece of film poster art.
Trivia: The first Planet of the Apes film to be filmed for IMAX.

Coralie Fargeat’s “The Substance” received the longest standing ovation out of all films shown at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with the accompanying UK quad an outstanding example of clever poster design. This original 2024 film poster is one of the most sought after recent titles of the horror genre – a series of photos combining reviews and scenes from the movie. Totally original and unrestored this rolled (as issued) poster displays and presents to excellent effect that due to the very limited cinematic screenings represents a super rare & sought item of authentic horror movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In several interviews, Demi Moore said that reading the script of The Substance (2024) reminded her of the script for Ghost (1990), because the chance that it could be amazing or a disaster was the same. That was crucial for her to accept the role.
