  • Sleepy Hollow Movie Poster - Tim Burton

    Sleepy Hollow

    £95.00

    “Heads Will Roll”

A true ‘Burtonesque’ classic. Tim Burton seems like the only film maker on the planet who could come up with characters such as the ones found in “Sleepy Hollow.” With a host of regular Burton collaborators and some familiar new faces (if you are a fan of classic horror you’ll be delighted) his stylish adaptation is based on the story by Washington Irving called “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, where he captures the slumbering, creepy village of Sleepy Hollow with vivid details and imaginative description. The way everything is presented, the trees look like something out of a fairy tale and the scenery represents deception in a mysterious wonderland, and makes this production a captivating and magical film experiences which is beautifully represented in this US one-sheet designed by BLT and Associates from first year of release, 1999. Presented rolled (as issued) it displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia for an innovative and popular film maker.

The sequel to the Spider-Man movie is everything a fan of the first could ask for. A special promotional poster was issued to promote “Spider-Man 2” (2004), the second film in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. The image shows Spider-Man web-spinning his way over a sun drenched New York and has been designed in plastic with a relief effect, almost 3D so that the title and Spider-Man figure are raised from the background. Manufactured in Italy, this was exclusively only ever available in the US and printed in extremely low numbers due to production costs. “Squid Game” was a un-precedented cult success on its Netflix release in 2021 with Hwang Dong-hyuk‘s psychological mystery suspense series going on to be one of the most watched TV series of all-time. “Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Her ongoing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life-forms and new civilisations; to boldly go where no one has gone before.”

Original US one sheet film poster designed by advertising agency BLT Communications for J. J. Abrams’ 2009 science-fiction blockbuster “Star Trek”, featuring Chris Pine as James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock and Zoe Saldaña as Nyota Uhura in the striking blue-toned photographic artwork.

Dominating the lower half of the design is the iconic USS Enterprise, dramatically depicted under construction at the Starfleet shipyard, with Kirk riding towards it in the foreground.

This is the full-size 27 x 40 inch (69 x 102 cm) US one sheet, printed with an impressive high gloss finish which gives the deep blues and blacks of the artwork a particularly rich appearance.

An authentic cinema-issued poster, rolled (as issued) and never folded, presented in excellent high grade condition…“Live long and Prosper!”.

Trivia: Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and J.J. Abrams personally called upon Leonard Nimoy‘s home to request for his role in the film. According to Orci, the actor gave a “Who are you guys, and what are you up to?” manner before being told how important he was to them. He was silent, and Nimoy’s wife Susan Bay Nimoy told the creative team that after their conversation he had remained in his chair, emotionally overwhelmed by his decision to return as Spock, after turning down many opportunities to revisit the role. He decided to act in this film, as he was turned on by the script’s scope, and its detailing of the characters’ histories: “We have dealt with Spock being half-human and half-Vulcan, but never with quite the overview that this script has of the character’s entire history, his character growth, his beginnings, and his arrival into the Enterprise crew.”

Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

    £195.00

    “The Empire Falls…”

The third instalment of George Lucas’ original Star Wars trilogy “Return of the Jedi” contains a number of incredible set pieces right from the opening scene in Bobba Fett’s lair, Han’s rescue by Luke, the reveal of a larger more deadly Death Star, the Ewoks and their home planet – the Forest Moon of Endor. And it the Forest of Endor that acts as the setting to one of the most exciting and adventurous scenes in the movie as Luke and Princess Leia battle the Imperial forces on their speeder bikes. Trivia: A reason for filming under the guise of non-descript horror movie title, “Blue Harvest” was partly to put off any snoopers, and also because the production found out that if they mentioned they were working on the next Star Wars movie, suppliers would automatically ramp up their prices, assuming that money was no object for Lucasfilm.
