“Okay fellas, this is our moment. Keep a cool head and keep those fingers pumpin’, cause remember, it’s history you’ll be writin”
A great looking movie poster for the Park Circus (BFI) 30th Anniversary 2006 release of Alan Parker’s 1976 film “Bugsy Malone”. The classic all-singing and dancing gangster movie with an all child cast that is the first and only gangster movie to involve cream filled bullets fired by the legendary “splurge” gun…The artwork from the original 1976 UK quad has been cleverly re-imagined highlighting the two stars; Jodie Foster & Scott Baio whilst retaining a 1930’s theme. Originally rolled (as issued) this excellent unrestored example displays and presents to superb effect and represents a scarce item of collectible memorabilia from one of British cinema’s quirkiest films.
Trivia: The development of the splurge guns took three months work by special effects boffins at Pinewood Studios. A gunsmith was consulted by fxpert Malcolm King to resolve the very complex ballistic problem of being able to shoot a capsulated custard pie without it first splurging the firer-splurger.

“What would you have done if you had been given absolute power of life and death over everybody else in the whole world?”
An original, country of origin 2024 UK Quad movie poster for the Bob Guccione/Tinto Brass film “Caligula: The Ultimate Cut”. An absolutely beautiful and striking design with a great use of bold colour, featuring Malcolm McDowell as the titular Caligula and Helen Mirren as Caesonia. “The Ultimate Cut” is a complete re-imagination of Caligula (1979), based on 96 hours of never-before-seen footage recovered many years after its release. Under the supervision of historian Thomas Negovan, an “Ultimate Cut” of the film was created. Instead of expanding existing scenes with the new footage, the entire film was edited from scratch, which resulted in a version that doesn’t contain a single frame from the theatrical version. Visual effects were used to enhance scenes and replace cheap sets and backgrounds, and AI technology was used to restore previously unusable dialogue that was plagued with background noises. A new music score was composed as well, in contrast to the public domain ballet music. A limited theatrical release was planned in late 2020, but it was delayed due to legal difficulties, distribution issues and the Covid-19 pandemic. This version eventually premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, with high praise by actors Malcolm McDowell (who previously had been ashamed by the film) and Dame Helen Mirren. Offered in excellent, high grade, rolled (as issued) condition, this poster is a rare find as the movie received such a limited cinematic release. One of the most controversial films of all time and a fine example of sought after movie memorabilia.

“Whatever happens tomorrow you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are. Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.”
Rich Davies’ alternative movie poster for one of the corner stone characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe “Captain America: The First Avenger” is an incredible, retro looking piece with an amazing 1940s vibe heavily influenced by the Flash Gordon/Buster Crabbe pulp serials of the period, from the dynamic content to the striking typography. Printed on to textured art paper using giclee inks the colours pop from the paper that when combined with the faux foldlines have a dramatic effect. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays to excellent effect. One of the best looking posters for any of the Marvel Studios’ releases it represents a fine piece of collectable modern cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Originally cameo appearances were planned in the film for James “Logan” Howlett (Wolverine) and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), who were present during World War II (Logan was a soldier and Lehnsherr was in an internment camp). These cameos were scrapped due to rights issues.
What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

“They somehow managed to get every creep and freak in the universe onto this one plane. And then somehow managed to let them take it over. And then somehow managed to stick us right smack in the middle.”
An all-action bombastic thriller as only the 1990s can deliver as Nicolas Cage heads up the Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster “Con Air”. This, Face/Off (1997) and The Rock (1996) are considered by many Nicolas Cage fans to be his “holy trinity” of action films. Cameron Poe (Cage), has just been paroled for manslaughter, but must stop a group of violent and deadly criminals from escaping the country after they seize control of the prison transport plane he is on – get the popcorn ready and just enjoy. Cage is aided by FBI agent Vince Larkin (John Cusack) as they tackle the nemesis that is the delightfully named ‘Cyrus the Virus’ (played with real dark comedic menace by John Malkovich) and it is these three that feature on this original 1997 British quad. I personally think the character imagery is much better suited to this landscape format rather than the portrait style of a one-sheet. Offered in rolled (as issued) condition, this fine example presents to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear and represents a cool and eye-catching piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Jerry Bruckheimer and the other producers of this movie wanted to cast Nicolas Cage as Cameron Poe, from early on, and his dream became a reality because they were working on another movie together, The Rock (1996). During filming of the 1996 Michael Bay movie, Bruckheimer walked over to Cage’s trailer and handed him the “Con Air” script. Two days later, Cage called him and said the script was great and that he wanted to make the movie.

Walt Disney’s live action super spy ‘James Bond’ spoof movie…“Condorman”. It has all of the cool gadgets, world-wide locations, a sexy femme fatale, creepy Russain villains, and best of all, some of the coolest car and boat chase sequences on film. The concept of the film is a cross between a comic book hero and a secret agent who failed O’Level spying. It has the humour of ‘The Morecambe and Wise Show’ and the special effects of an early Bond film. Regarded as a ‘Golden Age’ for Disney movie posters. It is the artwork from the Walt Disney posters produced during the 1970’s and early 1980’s that were probably the best looking from any period. Offered here is an original UK quad movie poster from the first year of release 1981 with some stunning art by the very talented Brian Bysouth. A fantastic looking, visual feast of a poster with beautiful design and artwork, bright bold colours and stunning all-action imagery featuring the titular “Condorman” offset against rocket firing cars and futuristic speed boats; a fantastic FUN poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this unrestored film poster presents to excellent effect and is a fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and very popular Disney offering.

Trivia: During one take, when Condorman falls into the River Seine, Michael Crawford nearly drowned after the strength of the current was miscalculated. He was dragged five to ten feet under the water before two lifeguards pulled him out just in time. Crawford was willing to do the stunt again but director Charles Jarrott refused to allow it, and put a trained stuntman in his place.

One of the best re-release posters you will see for a Hammer presentation for one of the most important films, Hammer made. Offered here is a beautiful British quad for the restored 4K 2025 re-release for “The Curse of Frankenstein”. Artist Greg Staples has excelled, himself and (in my opinion) produced the best artwork of his distinguished career – it really is exceptional with the photograph not doing it justice. A film poster with outstanding detailed artwork and use of colour; the green used on the title is particularly lurid, with incredible realistic likenesses of Lee, Cushing and the strong supporting cast. Released by Hammer for a very limited cinematic run that coincided with a newly remastered Blu Ray, this UK quad is from the cinema release and not one of the 200 limited release examples offered on Hammer’s website. It presents to excellent effect and is a must have Hammer Horror collectable.
Trivia: Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing‘s friendship was sparked when Lee stormed into Cushing’s dressing room, complaining that “I’ve got no lines!” Cushing kindly responded, “You’re lucky. I’ve read the script.”

“Cruise like Thunder”
An eye-catching dayglo colour-palette dominates this original UK Quad movie poster for Tom Cruise’s 1990 blockbuster “Days of Thunder”. Cruise could do no wrong at the box office during this period and it’s no surprise he is featured so heavily on the global marketing campaign for the movie. With a hi-gloss finish to top things off this is a really impressive looking film poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays very well and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular cinema’s most loved stars. Top Gun with cars !

“In his mind, he has the power to see the future. In his hands, he has the power to change it.”
Original UK Quad film poster for DavidCronberg’s 1983 sci-fi, horror, thriller “The Dead Zone”. Stephen King’s bestseller (his first to hit #1 and still one his most successful) is stylishly brought to the cinema screen by Cronenberg. Renowned for the more gory, body horror approach to film making, this is very much a clever and restrained adaption – and in my opinion is far better for it. Taking inspiration from one of the key scenes in the movie, British advertising agency FEREF have created an eye-catching design for the UK marketing campaign poster (imagery that is actually unique to the UK). Folded (as issued) this stunning example displays to excellent effect (probably unused). It represents a very high quality piece of Cinema memorabilia from a truly groundbreaking, influential film maker and the most successful American writer in history.
Trivia: This movie doesn’t explain the meaning of the phrase Dead Zone like the book does. Stephen King was going off old theories that people only use 10% of their brains, and that we haven’t even unlocked the secrets of the other 90%; and that when Johnny was in his coma his brain had to create new pathways to get around the paralyzed part of his mind. So new pathways were created in the Dead Zone, that 90% that people normally don’t use; and this enabled him to develop powers of ESP and second sight.

Trivia: Jack Burton’s (Kurt Russell) tank top (white tank top with a Japanese Rising Sun and a Samurai) from Big Trouble in Little China (1986) can be seen hung up on the wall of the bar where the first segment of the film takes place. It is right above Jungle Julia, slightly to the right of the AMi Jukebox.

“First dance..First love..The time of your life.”
An original 2007 British UK quad film poster for the quintessential classic romance “Dirty Dancing”. This beautiful originally rolled example is pretty much faultless. A classic 80s poster featuring one of the decade’s most memorable and enduring images hat has been updated for the 20th Anniversary screenings., as Baby (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny (Patrick Swayze) prepare for their iconic dance routine. This Anniversary release received a very limited cinematic run, playing in only a handful of cinemas, making these posters particularly scarce. Often seen as one the THE defining and most loved movies of the 1980s it represents a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In an interview with AFI, Swayze explained why he thought Dirty Dancing endured for so long. “It’s got so much heart, to me,” he said. “It’s not about the sensuality; it’s really about people trying to find themselves, this young dance instructor feeling like he’s nothing but a product, and this young girl trying to find out who she is in a society of restrictions when she has such an amazing take on things.”
