“You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? Then who the hell else are you talking… you talking to me? Well I’m the only one here. Who the f**k do you think you’re talking to? Oh yeah? OK.”

“Taxi Driver” has become a classic multi award winning pop culture cult phenomenom. “He always wanted to be special… but he never expected THIS!”

Original 1985 UK Quad movie poster for the best movie poster Michael J. Fox made, that isn’t “Back to the Future”, Rod Daniel’s teenage angst comedy with a werewolf twist “Teen Wolf”. • Original Terminator 2: Judgement Day Movie Poster - James Cameron - Arnold Schwarzenegger - Linda Hamilton - Skynet - T-800 - Action - Sci-Fi

    Terminator 2: Judgement Day

    £35.00

“He Said He’d Be Back…and He Certainly is !”

Sci-fi movies can rarely be made in such way that can be looked at as works of art. This is one of the few exceptions. The prediction of judgment day with Linda Hamilton watching a playground full of kids be burnt to the ground is an absolute brilliant portrayal of Armageddon. The theme that men will destroy themselves is also shown throughout the movie also and is even said by The Terminator…“It’s in your nature to destroy yourselves”. This brings the movie to a whole new level of sci-fi and one of the most sought after of titles by collectors of the genre and Schwarzenegger’s vast legion of fans. Offered here is an original 1991 British UK press promotional still for James Cameron’s sci-fi, time travel, shoot ’em up uber-actioner “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”. The iconic imagery is from the start of the movie and features the famous terminator’s endoskeleton as it goes into battle; an image that has become as associated with the franchise as Schwarzenegger himself. • Texas Chainsaw Massacre Alternative Movie Poster

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre

    £295.00

“WHO WILL SURVIVE AND WHAT WILL BE LEFT OF THEM ?”

Described by The News of the World as the ‘sickest carnival of slaughter ever seen’...“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” has become one of the most debated films of all time bringing (at the time) nauseating, forceful horror to the screen with a focussed realism that was new to mainstream cinema. Arguments raged as most councils and cinemas across the country banned it’s release (The full fascinating story of the censorship battle is well worth checking out on the official BBFC website.) with only a handful of cinemas eventually bowing to public demand and showing the Film. Reimagined on an incredible scale and one of the most licensed titles for an alternative movie poster – it takes something special to stand out from the crowd and Graham Humphreys’ 2023 release certainly does that; horror art at its finest. Printed for Texas Frightmare Weekend and only available to purchase from the Mondo booth, this signed and hand-numbered (AP 28/30) artist proof print is an outstanding tribute to Tobe Hooper’s ground breaking movie, introducing one of the horror genre’s most iconic characters and a very rare and collectable alternative movie poster for perhaps the most influential cult horror film of the modern era…“There are moments when we cannot believe that what is happening is really true. Pinch yourself and you may find out that it is.”

Trivia: Ed Gein – on whom “Leatherface” was loosely based–was not a true serial killer, as he actually only killed two people, both of them women. He was however, a graverobber. He stole body parts–only female–from many different graves. He kept some of the parts in his refrigerator, and skinned one corpse and wore the skin as a dress.

  • The-Day-of-the-Jackal-Movie-Poster

    The Day of the Jackal

    £195.00

“Nameless, faceless… relentlessly moving towards the date with death that would rock the world.”

An original country of origin British UK quad film poster from the original year of release 1973 for Fred Zinnemann’s terrorist thriller “The Day of the Jackal”. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Frederick Forsyth which sees a lone sniper tasked with the assassination of French President Charles De Gaulle and it it this the image of Charles De Gaulle reflected in the assassins eye (Edward Fox as the titular Jackal) that provides some remarkable pencil drawn imagery in Michael Leonard’s impressive artwork featured on the UK quad movie poster; a very cleverly designed piece. Originally folded (as issued) it displays and presents to very good effect. A marvellous looking poster that certainly impresses and is scarce in this unrestored condition. A hugely collectable and sought after film poster that represents a fine example of original British movie memorabilia.

Trivia: A so-called “explosive bullet” does not contain any explosive material. It is drilled through the center, a drop of mercury is put inside, and the tip of the bullet sealed. When the bullet hits an object the mercury maintains its velocity, flying through the drilled channel and impacting the tip of the bullet from the inside. This causes the bullet to fragment.

The way he runs, and the way the scene is shot (cutting back and forth between Willis running and Drake trying to open the door) mirrors a similar scene in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), when the T-1000–also played by Patrick–is chasing the Connors and the T-800 down a long hall while they wait for an elevator to open.

  • The Irishman Movie Poster

    The Irishman

    £175.00

“If they can whack a President, they can whack a president of a union. You know it and I know it.”

This is certainly one of the most compelling and despite its three hour plus runtime, most watchable films Martin Scorsese has directed. It is an epic  motion picture that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. The ‘cast’ style UK quad film poster by Concept Arts that accompanied this 2019 release of “The Irishman” was equally as striking as it features three of the greatest actors of any generation – Robert De Niro, Al Pacino & Joe Pesci. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with dark unfaded background and outstanding character imagery. Very scarce with a incredibly low print run, as it was essentially a Netflix streaming service movie which received a limited cinematic release so it would qualify as a contender for Academy Award recognition and was only shown in a handful of independent cinemas with no general release. A must have title for the serious collector or fan.

Trivia: “I heard you paint houses” were the first words Jimmy Hoffa ever spoke to Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. On The Tonight Show, Robert De Niro remarked that the term, along with “I also do my own carpentry work,” refer to both the hit and the clean-up.

The boss of Fiat Motors, offered to donate all the cars they needed, including Fiat 500s in place of the Minis. The director, however, decided that, as it was a very British film, it should be British Minis. Fiat’s boss still donated scores of cars for filming, as well as the factory grounds, and even though the authorities refused to close the roads, the Italian Mafia stepped in, and shut whole sections of Turin down for filming, so the traffic jams in the film are real, as are people’s actions during it.

Trivia: The Vultures were originally going to be voiced by The Beatles. The band’s manager, Brian Epstein, approached the Disney studios about having The Beatles appear in the film, and Disney had his animators create the Vultures specifically to be voiced by the band. But when Epstein took the idea to the Beatles, John Lennon vetoed the idea, and told Epstein to tell Disney he should hire Elvis Presley  instead. The look of The Vultures, with their mop-top haircuts and Liverpool voices, are a homage to The Beatles; one bird’s voice and features are clearly based on George Harrison‘s. That’s What Friends Are For was originally to be done as a rock and roll song. When the Beatles departed the project, the song was rewritten as a barbershop quartet, to make it timeless.
