A truly influential genre classic…John Landis’ tongue in cheek werewolf horror romp “An American Werewolf in London”. This original 1982 (first year of release in Japan) Japan B2 film poster is stunning; great horror imagery and often referred to as the “monster montage style” featuring all of creatures from the Film and even a bit of saucy Jenny Agutter nudity . Full on and very in your face and not at all understated and restrained as is the US one sheet version. With unique Japan design this is an extremely desirable, very rare poster from a “golden age” of physical movie special effects. In near faultless original, unrestored condition this rolled example presents in investment grade condition and represents an exciting piece of original horror film movie memorabilia…“Be rational, sure. I’m a fucking werewolf, for Christ’s sake!”
Trivia: John Landis wrote the screenplay for this film following an incident while shooting Kelly’s Heroes (1970) (while he was a go-fer) in the countryside of Yugoslavia. While driving along a country road with a colleague, Landis encountered a gypsy funeral. The body was being buried in a massively deep grave, feet first, while wrapped in garlic, so he would not rise from the dead.

A personal favourite and quite simply a stunning looking film poster for Francis Ford Coppola’s multi award winning Vietnam war epic “Apocalypse Now”. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Coppola’s 1979 masterpiece with any paper hugely desirable and the Japanese B2 film poster offered here is no exception. This version features a design unique to Japan which utilises the iconic ‘helicopters in the sunset’ artwork created by Bob Peak for the US & British posters with two incredible photo images of Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) & assassin Benjamin Willard (Martin Sheen) dominating the foreground. A poster with truly memorable imagery for Coppola’s voyage into the ‘Heart of Darkness’. Originally rolled (as issued) with amazing dark colour tones this totally unrestored example presents and displays to very good effect with only minimal handling wear that represents a beautiful piece of original movie memorabilia from one of the finest film’s ever made…“Napalm, son. This unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued) with minimal handling wear and beautiful deep vibrant colours . Trivia: The inspiration for the film largely stems from Bob Gale discovering his father’s high school yearbook and wondering whether he would have been friends with his father as a teenager. Gale also said that if he had the chance to go back in time, he would really go back and see if they would have been friends.

Original 1967, first year of release Japanese STB/Tatekan movie poster for the Stanley Donen seven deadly sins comedy “Bedazzled”. After the success of the first two series of British TV show “Not Only … But Also” (1965-1970), comic duo Dudley Moore and Peter Cook star in their second big screen outing. “Bedazzled” sees Stanley Moon (Moore) sell his soul to The Devil (Cooke) in exchange for seven wishes. Raquel Welch features as Lust and, with her climb to fame from “One Million Years B.C”. Japanese posters put her front and centre for the obvious sex appeal. The Japanese tatekan poster (as offered here) is printed in two pieces which were designed to be pasted together on the bill boards. Far rarer, and more striking than the more common Japanese B2 posters, they are highly sought after. Eye catching, country unique design, exclusive to the Japanese release this excellent rolled, flat/unfolded example displays superbly and represents one of the most colourful and best looking posters from the period and an amazing example of cinema memorabilia.
Trivia: Although Raquel Welch is featured in most of the promotional material for this movie, she is on-screen for only roughly seven minutes.

Rightly regarded as one of the key and most collectable movie posters for a film that created its own unique genre and provided the vehicle to launch Bruce Lee (albeit briefly) as a screen & cultural icon. Bob Peak created the artwork and his design was used globally as the imagery became as memorable as its late star. Whilst the core artwork remained the same slight variations appeared in different countries with this Japanese re-issue one-sheet format probably the most striking as the action imagery (including a nunchuk wielding Bruce Lee) was offset against a black background. Offered here is an exceptional Japanese B1 film poster for “Enter the Dragon” from the 1997 re-release, finished with a high gloss sheen it presents to stunning effect and displays minimal handling wear. This originally rolled (as issued) example is rarely seen in this large Japanese format and in such high grade unrestored investment grade condition. A striking piece that represents an extremely scarce and collectable example of original movie memorabilia & a fitting tribute to the martial arts legend BRUCE LEE.
Trivia: In 2004, this movie was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” in the United States and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

“Bill Grundy: Keep going, chief, keep going. You’ve got another 5 seconds. Say something outrageous”…Any paper from this cult punk rock film is extremely sought after and this example is easily the rarest…An iconic punk image; Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious performing against the distressed backdrop of the Union Jack flag in Julien Temple’s “No Future: A Sex Pistols Film”. The Japanese title for his Sex Pistols biopic “The Filth and Fury”. This original large format Japan B1 from first year of release 2000 is an extremely rare film poster. (I have not seen another one advertised for a good few years) This rolled example is the “on stage” version and is printed (unlike other Japan posters) on a heavy stock paper. It is immaculate and displays superbly …An fantastic piece of music/film/cultural memorabilia presented in investment grade condition !…Using one of punk’s most memorable images around the border; Jamie Reid’s depiction of the Queen with a safety pin through Her mouth is a great finishing touch.

“A Terrifying Tale Of Sluts And Bolts.”
An absolutely stunning Japanese B2 film poster for one of the greatest cult horror movies ever made…Frank Henenlotter‘s “Frankenhooker”. Featuring incredible country unique artwork, this really is one of the best examples created for this cult horror-comedy title. Any paper for this title is extremely sought after and also ultra scarce, with this being the first time we have ever offered something for sale – and we are delighted that it is this Japanese B2, which has always been a personal favourite of mine. The finish is superb with neon, pink, green and blues popping from the paper (this day-glo effect is further enhanced by the high gloss finish – this does make it hard to photograph) Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents scarce cinematic movie memorabilia for a film that has become one of the most desirable titles of the genre…“She’s hot. She’s sexy. And she’s sutured to please.”
Trivia: Elizabeth has the last name of Shelley. This is an homage to Mary Shelley, the author of the original “Frankenstein”.

A scarce original Japanese B2 film poster and one of Hammer’s best for Terence Fisher’s 1967 dark metaphysical horror “Frankenstein Created Woman”…The fourth entry in Hammer’s Frankenstein canon this stunning piece is a personal favourite and featured in Marcus Hearn’s excellent book “The Art of Hammer”. Originally rolled (as issued) and unrestored, it has some of the most memorable imagery of any Hammer poster…the image of Peter Cushing caressing a human skull and a bikini made of bandages are trademark Hammer. Presented in excellent high grade condition with minimal handling wear this represents a superb example of Hammer Horror cinema memorabilia.
Trivia: “Frankenstein Created Woman” was originally mooted as a follow-up to “The Revenge of Frankenstein” during its production in 1958, at a time when Roger Vadim’s Et Dieu créa la femme (And God Created Woman) was successful (in fact, the film’s original working title was “And Then Frankenstein Created Woman”). The film finally went into production at Bray Studios on 4 July 1966. It was Hammer’s penultimate production there.

A marvellous example of sexually suggestive swinging sixties movie posters, a 1968 Japanese B2 film poster for Jack Cardiff’s cult psychedelic ‘road’ movie “Girl on a Motorcycle”. The style and design of this Japanese B2 example is perfectly suited by the portrait format with a marvellous full length body shot of Marianne Faithfull in leather biker suit. Unrestored and offered in excellent original condition with deep and unfaded colours. Highly collectable and an extremely scarce piece of original cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Marianne Faithfull‘s gift motorcycle is a Harley Davidson Electra Glide; Alain Delon rides a 750cc Norton Atlas.

“The sleaze-filled saga of an exploitation double feature”…A very rare original 2007 Japan Chirashi for the Tarantino / Rodriguez 70’s double bill homage “Grindhouse” featuring eye-catching country unique artwork as only the Japanese can do. Originally folded (as all of these are) it looks & displays superbly…a Chirashi is an original Japanese film poster that’s double sided; image of the poster is on one side & the film’s details & extra photos printed on the other…A rare find in this format.

Roger Moore’s final outing as 007 sees Bond artistic maestro Daniel Goozee produce a truly stunning series of posters for John Glen’s “A View To A Kill”. And it is his advance teaser design featuring Roger Moore as 007 and Grace Jones as Zorin’s henchwoman May Day that has been adapted for this Japanese video release B1 poster – the likenesses of both Moore and Jones are incredible. Very rare in this larger Japanese format with a design unique to Japan as key scenes have been added the left and right borders. These don’t turn up very often especially in this excellent unrestored, originally rolled (as issued) high grade condition. It presents and displays superbly and represents a fine example of a scarce and extremely collectable James Bond vintage movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Maud Adams: As a woman in the crowd at Fisherman’s Wharf. Adams happened to be visiting San Francisco when the film was in production there. Sir Roger Moore got her to appear as an uncredited extra in a crowd scene, making her the only actress to appear in three Bond movies (excluding actresses in recurring roles), after The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) and Octopussy (1983).
