One of cinemas all time classic movies is Ridley Scott’s Oscar winning deep space horror “Alien”. The worldwide marketing campaign is instantly recognisable by the (now) iconic alien ‘egg’ imagery designed by the creative agency Bemis Balkind. The poster campaign that was complemented by a series of lobby cards, usually a set of 8 measuring 10″ x 8″ or 11″ x 14″, but Italy offered something far superior, a set of 12 lobby cards (photobustas in Italian) that measure a huge 18″ x 26″ (46 x 66 cm). The size makes them particularly appealing to collectors as they are more like mini posters and in the case of this set, some incredible images from the movie with many only found on the Italian release. Offered in original flat and unfolded condition (as issued) they present very well with only minimal handling wear. Hugely collectable and a fantastic piece of cinematic movie memorabilia from a truly influential movie that changed the face of modern sci-fi horror forever.
Trivia: Director Sir Ridley Scott and writers Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett wanted H.R. Giger to design the alien creatures based on drawings from his book ‘Necronomicon’, but they had some difficulties in convincing the studio. Executives were initially appalled by Giger’s dark and disturbing imagery, but Scott’s insistence finally won them over. Even so, Giger’s designs had to be changed several times because of their blatant sexuality.

Beautiful example with imagery that immediately identifies it and makes it instantly recognisable for Dennis Hopper’s cult hugely influential motorbike road movie “Easy Rider”. Fantastic pop art design by Dosshaus featuring the familiar image of Wyatt (Peter Fonda) and using the the Stars and Stripes of the American flag as a memorable backdrop – the bold colours literally do ‘pop’ out from from the paper of this original Italian locandina film poster from the 2019 re-release. Originally rolled (as issued) this original unrestored example is a great find in such high grade condition, as it is genuinely scarce due to the very limited theatrical release. A very collectable and desirable example of cinema movie memorabilia for one of the defining cultural movies of the psychedelic 60’s appealing to film and motorcycle collectors…The ultimate ‘road’ movie !
Trivia: The Captain America jacket worn and designed designed by Peter Fonda was made by “two little old ladies” in Los Angeles. It was later sold at a charity auction.

Sergio Leone’s “The Dollars Trilogy” is lauded (rightly so) as the greatest spaghetti westerns ever made with any paper from the films extremely sought after which makes this incredibly scarce 2014 Italian film festival release for the second in the series – “For a Few Dollars More” a real find. Not only super rare it arguably boasts a clever and stylish poster design featuring a colourful pop art style design by acclaimed Italian artist Michelangelo Papuzza. Presented rolled (as issued) this example displays to excellent effect. An extremely limited release with a very small print run these posters are a truly collectable ‘modern’ piece of Eastwood/spaghetti western movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The Man with No Name (Clint Eastwood) calls himself Monco in this movie. “Manco” is Spanish for “lame of one hand”, “one handed”, or “one armed”, which is pretty appropriate considering his habit of fighting, drinking, et cetera with his left hand only. His right hand always remains on his gun underneath his trademark poncho.

Does exactly what a fantasy movie is supposed to do! It lets your imagination run away with you. The Queen soundtrack (like their earlier “Flash“ Gordon) is fantastic. Sean Connery is of course ‘Sean Connery’ & wonderful in his part, with Christopher Lambert perfectly cast as the untrained Immortal Connor MacLeod. Like many films that have reached a cult status it received a lukewarm reception (& that’s being kind) on its initial release resulting in very limited availability of the merchandising used to promote it especially the film posters. Offered here is a scarce Italian locandina (L’Ultimo Immortale), unrestored, original film poster for Russell Mulcahy’s 1986 fantasy adventure “Highlander”. This originally rolled (as issued) example has deep, vibrant colours and stunning detailed Brian Bysouth sci-fi imagery. All making for an extremely desirable, exceptionally scarce movie poster from a hugely influential movie that spawned numerous sequels, TV series’ & even a cartoon…One of the coolest poster’s from 1980’s and a fantastic piece of collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Queen originally intended to record only one song for this movie, but after viewing footage from the movie, they were inspired to write more. The band members each had a favorite scene and composed songs specifically for them. Brian May wrote “Who Wants to Live Forever” during the cab ride home after seeing the movie, and Roger Taylor used the line “It’s a kind of magic” as the basis for the end title song.

An original 1988 Italian film poster for the quintessential B-movie slasher “Maniac Cop”. This beautiful originally example certainly impresses in the large format style of an Italian One Panel (2-Fogli). A classic 80s poster design, with bold in your face artwork (sadly un-attributed) featuring the titular Maniac Cop looming menacingly over the night time New York skyline with deep blood red detailing for the title. Regarded as one THE cult movies of the 1980s, this example is presented in excellent original, folded (as issued) condition that represents a fantastic piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Given a limited theatrical release in the U.S. at Grindhouse theaters and midnight movie showings. Despite failing to recoup its costs, the video rights sales shot through the roof due to the huge demand for horror related films for the US and foreign video rental market. This ultimately led to two sequels being made, driven almost exclusively by demand from the video rental market.

This beautiful originally example certainly impresses in the large format style of an Italian One Panel (2-Fogli). A classic 90s poster featuring the two stars – Julia Roberts and Richard Gere with imagery that was used for the worldwide marketing campaign. Often seen as one THE defining and most loved movies of the 1990s it represents a fantastic piece of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Julia Roberts‘s head was superimposed on Shelley Michelle‘s body for the poster. Richard Gere‘s hair is brown on the poster, but going grey in the movie.

One of the most defining cinematic images of the 20th century, Saul Bass’ spiral poster design for this classic 1958 Alfred Hitchcock thriller “Vertigo” has become synonymous with the film. Bass’s intention to convey the feeling of vertigo through this design is clearly felt in his simple and stylish graphics, symbolising the downward spiral of events in the movie’s timeline. The fourth and final time that James Stewart would work with Alfred Hitchcock, with both turning in career-defining performances. “Vertigo” consistently makes the shortlist for ‘Greatest Movie of All-Time’ with the influential movie magazine ‘Sight & Sound’ making it their Number One film of all time. From the 2019 Italian re-release this large format one-panel film poster (2-Fogli) is a beautiful example of a sought-after piece of important movie memorabilia. The bold red colour is bright with deep black lettering and bright white background and border. Originally folded (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely stunning; the classic vortex design is truly eye-catching.
