An advance ‘July 7’ British UK quad film poster for the Marvel Studios release “Spider-Man: Homecoming” with a design by BOND in collaboration with photographer Michael Muller. This original 2017 poster is offered in excellent rolled (as issued) condition and shows Spider-Man (Tom Holland in his first big screen standalone “Spider-Man” role) in typical ‘wall-crawler’ pose ‘stuck’ to the side of Avengers Tower as he surveys New York City. The landscape format of the quad is the perfect way to highlight this stunning city-scape. Very cool and very collectable this exceptional looking piece represents a fantastic item of ‘modern’ super-hero movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Aunt May’s car number plate is AMF-1562. AMF is Amazing Fantasy, 15 is the issue number, and 62 is 1962, the year Spider-Man first appeared.

For the 40th Anniversary 2023 re-release of the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” Lucasfilm issued this amazing British one-sheet featuring the artwork of Matt Ferguson, the hugely successful artist responsible for some of the most memorable recent Marvel cinematic releases and the award winning, fan favourite 40th Anniversary design for ‘Empire Strikes Back’. This ‘updated’ style features some of the best imagery from this instalment from the original trilogy with Luke Skywalker (now a Jedi Knight) and like many of the 1980 posters a dominant Darth Vader and the iconic scout walkers. Presented here in original unrestored condition this beautiful 2023 rolled (as issued) example has deep unfaded vibrant colour tones and displays to excellent effect with the minimal of handling wear. With an extremely limited cinematic release in both the UK & USA this is a truly scarce poster and highly sought after. Trivia: A reason for filming under the guise of non-descript horror movie title, “Blue Harvest” was partly to put off any snoopers, and also because the production found out that if they mentioned they were working on the next Star Wars movie, suppliers would automatically ramp up their prices, assuming that money was no object for Lucasfilm.

“Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker” is a continuation of the Star Wars saga created by George Lucas and set over thirty years after Return of the Jedi and a few months after the events of “The Last Jedi”. The release of each instalment is always accompanied by a huge global marketing and merchandising campaign with the movie posters produced always being of the highest artistic quality. And I’m pleased to say that Episode IX keeps up the high standard; Created by design agency Art Machine the finished poster has magnificent dark powerful imagery as the ‘light’ and the ‘dark’ sides of the Force are combined, highlighted by Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). . It certainly pays homage to some of Drew Struzan’s iconic ‘Star Wars’ artwork. The original US/International one-sheet movie poster offered here is full size measuring 27″ x 40″ and is double sided. Guaranteed original and presented here in excellent unrestored condition this beautiful rolled (as issued) example has minimal handling wear and looks incredible. A rare and desirable example of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises…“Confronting fear is the destiny of a Jedi. Trivia: During the massive crowd celebration scene, C-3PO says that this event happens once every 42 years. This was the time between the first Star Wars movie to be released in 1977 and this film. However, the official time line in The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary states that in the events of this film take place 35 years after that of A New Hope.

A special poster advertising “The Empire Strikes Back Night” at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California held on May 21st in honour of the 30th anniversary of the movie with a cool image of Dodger Stadium at night and Darth Vader and the Millennium Falcon with the tagline “This is my town – Dodgertown a galaxy far, far away”. Trivia: In order to avoid sharing creative rights, George Lucas decided to avoid using a major studio to finance this movie. Instead, he bankrolled the $18 million production himself, using a combination of his profits from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) and a bank loan. Although the move was risky, it paid off several times over. Lucas recovered his investment within three months of the movie’s release.

The colours are truly breathtaking with ‘Mando’ and his ward ‘Grogu’ (Baby Yoda) illustrated in almost photographic detail. “The Way” by Rory Kurtz for Mondo was released to celebrate Season One of the hit TV series, and it is such a cool poster. Hand-Annotated ‘Archive 2’ as it has come directly from the personal archive of the artist Rory Kurtz and printed using eleven colour inks on Domtar Lynx Opaque 100# cover paper. Kurtz has this to say about the design “The Mandalorian is mysterious and iconic in aesthetic, and I felt the art should mirror that, with Mando holstering his blaster stoically amidst the smoke, ash, and fallen enemies of the recently finished battle”. This is a truly scarce alternative movie poster and highly sought after. “SUZI Q” is Liam Firmager’s ‘rockumentary’ of trailblazing American rock singer-songwriter Suzi Quatro, who helped redefine the role of women in rock ‘n’ roll when she broke out in 1973 selling over 50 million records on the way. The original UK quad film poster to accompany the release features the ‘Devil-Gate Drive’ rocker in all her glam-glory with a striking retro image. The advertising campaign for the movie was very low key and the UK film posters that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release are truly scarce. Originally rolled this incredibly rare example displays as new…a fantastic collectable item of music, film and cultural memorabilia presented in excellent condition.

In 2004 a film was released that defined the modern ‘British lad football culture’….that film was “The Football Factory” and the genre is still going strong and showing no sign of flagging. “The Football Factory” stars two actors who have very much cornered the market in ‘loveable’ rogues…Danny Dyer & Tamer Hassan. The originally rolled (as issued) UK quad film poster offered here displays beautifully and is presented in excellent condition with minimal handling wear and represents an extremely desirable piece of original British movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Tommy Johnson walks into a lounge where his friend Rod is playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002). This game was made by Rockstar Games, who are also credited as being Executive Producers for the movie. Also, Danny Dyer who plays Tommy Johnson in Football Factory was the voice of Kent Paul in Vice City.

“The staggering story of the group who wrung the neck of rock ‘n’ roll !”
Depending on who you believe Julien Temple’s true/untrue story of the rise & fall of the greatest punk band ever; The Sex Pistols in “The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle”. This original 1980 country of origin (UK) quad featuring M Hirsch artwork is as compelling as the film, almost 3D in design…you are drawn to the bold lettering, the black & white photography and lurking in the background the heavily stylised character artwork. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect being totally original and unrestored and presented in investment grade quality. A rare find in this exceptional condition and with ‘Punk Rock’ memorabilia achieving record prices a truly worthwhile purchase.
Trivia: Marianne Faithfull was to play Sid Vicious‘ mother in the original draft of the film, but backed out at the idea of a sex scene.
