ROCKY
£65.00
“He doesn’t know it’s a damn show! He thinks it’s a damn fight !”
One of Sylvester Stallone’s best film poster images this is unmistakably Rocky. Raw, simple design the emphasis (as it should be) is all on the main character; the design means you never forget who this film is about and that’s ROCKY. This original Czech movie poster for “ROCKY” is from first year of release 1980 in Czechoslovakia and features the artwork of Jan Antonin Pacak. Presented in excellent rolled (as issued) condition it displays and presents to superb effect. The linear imagery and colours are sharp and the white background pure white (sorry about the photo). A fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the screens biggest stars playing one of his greatest and most recognisable signature characters…Certainly striking and something a bit different to the standard movie posters for this film.
Trivia: Sylvester Stallone was so poor prior to filming Rocky (1976), he had to sell his dog for fifty dollars. A week later, he sold the script for Rocky (1976) and bought him back. Rocky’s dog, Buktus, was this same dog.
