“Who seduces an angel? Who strips in space? Who conveys love by hand? Who gives up the pill? Who takes sex to outer space? Who’s the girl of the 21st century? Who nearly dies of pleasure?”
Roger Vadim cleverly adapted Jean Claude Forest’s French Barbarella Comic for the big screen in this erotic sci fi fantasy which gives Jane Fonda one of her most memorable roles. This beautiful & extremely rare, original Czech One Sheet (small) movie poster from first year of release in Czechoslovakia 1971. With eye-catching Kaja Saudek artwork this version is considered by many the best poster artwork for this late 60’s slice of outer space campiness “Barbarella”. Originally flat/unfolded (just a single ‘soft’ crease) this displays very well and would make for a fantastic addition to any collection or as a one-off display piece. Truly stunning and a fine piece of country unique artwork that represents highly collectible movie poster memorabilia for a truly memorable and much loved sci-fi classic.
Trivia: Barbarella was the first science fiction hero from comics to be adapted into a feature film, as opposed to a serial. Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, her male predecessors, had only appeared in serials.
