The first Advance poster stating the US release of November 2008 for the Casino Royale follow on “Quantum of Solace”. Great use of well established design characteristics by creative arts agency Empire Design…Take away the 007 logo and you instinctively know this is a James Bond film. Presented in original rolled condition this superb example displays to excellent effect (probably unused). Outstanding graphics with a moody black & white colour scheme makes for an item of very striking & collectable James Bond original movie memorabilia.

“Bond drives an Aston…naturally”
In 1965, Aston Martin released this tie-in advertisement poster featuring Bond’s DB5 in their dealer showrooms to promote their association with the James Bond franchise and the latest release “Thunderball”, at the time the highest grossing film series on record. Original, 1965 are extremely scarce and in some cases prohibitively expensive, but in 1999 Bond Producer’s EON authorised a limited edition licenced print run of only 400 posters. They were printed to approximately the same size as the originals (British double crown size – 20″ x 30″) and are identifiable by the unique limited edition hand written number on each one – in this case 384/400. Presented rolled in excellent condition this is hugely desirable and very collectable and would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia and is a truly impressive 007 poster.
Trivia: On October 27, 2010, the Aston Martin DB5 used in this movie and Goldfinger (1964) was sold, fully “loaded”, to American classic car collector Harry Yeaggy for a reported $4 million by London’s RM Auctions. The car had only one previous private owner, an American radio station owner named Jerry Lee, who purchased the car directly from the Aston Martin factory in 1969 for $12,000. Lee had kept the car at his Pennsylvania house for over forty years.

“Thunderball” sees 007’s fourth screen outing as the action moves to the exotic Bahamas as the agent with a licence to kill tackles S.P.E.C.T.R.E’s Emilio Largo who is holding the world to ransom with two stolen nuclear warheads. This photo montage style Swiss one-sheet features striking mixture of key scenes and characters. I particularly like the large 007 logo with Connery silhouette which runs across the bottom. The design is exclusive to the 1970s Swiss re-release and not found anywhere else. Presented in excellent unrestored folded (as issued) condition this presents superbly with minimal handling wear and represents a fantastic piece of collectable James Bond cinematic memorabilia from the Sean Connery era.

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Damien Chazelle’s 2016 multi award winning musical romance phenomenon “La La Land” is scarce. Taking audiences by storm at the box-office it was never expected (by the Studio) to be the huge worldwide success it turned out to be with a merchandising and marketing budget not reflected in the success. Walt Disney’s animated take on the classic Fairy Tale from Hans Christian Andersen “The Little Mermaid”. Released in 1989 and memorable as being the last Disney animated feature to use hand-painted cels and analog camera and film work. 1,000 different colours were used on 1,100 backgrounds. Over one million drawings were done in total. This pain staking attention to animations detail is perfectly evident here as this complete set of all eight (8) front of house lobby cards feature all of the characters and memorable moments you expect to see. Stunning, vibrant colours, animated imagery includes Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula, King Triton, Louis, Sebastian. Originally flat and unfolded (as issued) these front of house lobby cards present superbly and represents a fine example of rare and collectable original Walt Disney cinematic memorabilia for a true classic. Undoubtedly one the best looking series of lobby cards produced for a movie that is an integral part of Disney animation history.
Trivia: In the opening scene when King Triton arrives at the arena, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Kermit the Frog can be briefly seen in the crowd of sea-people as mermen when he passes over them.

“Mirror, Mirror on The Wall…”
Walt Disney’s greatest movie…“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs“. An extremely rare example of Disney memorabilia. This original US one sheet for the 1993 re-release is the very scarce “Mirror” version. The oval centre actually acts as a mirror because of the foil used to produce the poster (hence apologies for the image…it’s a tough one to photograph) with the border printed to look like a mirror frame. This is movie memorabilia come to life straight from the silver screen to your wall. Originally rolled it displays very well…As with all promotional Disney items the quality is first rate…an exceptionally rare and desirable poster.
Trivia: The Special Academy Award given to the picture consisted of one standard Oscar statuette and seven miniature statuettes on a stepped base.

After making his buddy cop hit “48 Hours” Walter Hill directed a film that was inspired by the movies he grew up on. It was a wild homage filled with the kinds of images and themes he loved most about those movies such as: “custom cars, kissing in the rain, neon, trains in the night, high-speed pursuit, rumbles, rock stars, motorcycles, jokes in tough situations, leather jackets and questions of honor.” What Hill created was “Streets of Fire” (1984) a 1980’s meets retro 1950’s musical-action-crime-comedy B-movie epic. The film stars Michael Pare as Tom Cody an ex-soldier who returns to his home to rescue his ex-girlfriend, a singer named Ellen Aim (Diane Lane) from the clutches of evil biker gang leader Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe). The music (heavily influenced by Meatloaf’s guru Jim Steinman) featured in the film also reflected the odd 1950’s meets the 1980’s backdrop with its diverse rockabilly, doo-wop, blues and New Wave sounds…Even though “Streets of Fire” didn’t do well when it was released, over the years it has developed a cult following because of its unique qualities. The colourful eye catching poster art by Riehm for the film reflects the furiously stylised aesthetic that was used to tell the rock n’ roll fable of love ! Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored 1984 US one sheet film poster presents superbly and represents a fine piece of original very collectable movie / music memorabilia…“A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable !”
Trivia: The car that Cody (Michael Pare) drives in the movie is a 1951 Mercury that was chopped, channelled, nosed, and decked.
