One of the best films of the 1980’s and certainly one of Schwarzenegger’s finest roles, “Predator“ is a film I’ve seen more times than I care to remember. The rare and original Japanese B2 film poster offered here is the ‘Cast’ style from first year of release 1987 with ‘Dutch’ (Schwarzenegger) prominent and a photo montage of the other leading actors in a design that is unique to Japan. The rare and original UK quad film poster offered here is from first year of release 1987 and was created by a team at the FEREF design agency, including Stephen Laws, Frank Hillary and acclaimed movie poster artist Brian Bysouth. This was one of the first film posters by the artist to have been created with photo composition and not painted, as had been the case with his previous posters. This ‘thermal imaging’ version has a great action image of Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and is considered a classic amongst collectors of the genre. Originally rolled (as issued – this is the first time we have ever offered a rolled one) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect. Extremely hard to find in this high grade condition it represents a fine piece of collectable original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The Predator costume weighed over two hundred pounds, and even though 7’2″ Kevin Peter Hall was a large and powerful man, he had to be connected to a “bungie” rig, to enable him to move more believably.

A truly striking image for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” that is perfectly suited to the portrait format of this edition. Robocop is offset against a colourful background of supporting characters and action imagery, that are made to stand out when placed in front of the black background. It gives a depth that gives an almost 3D effect to the colour imagery. Printed by Mad Duck in 2022 this limited edition art print is hand-numbered #47 from a print run of 200. Artist Saniose has produced the perfect alternative movie poster for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” Titled the Battle Damage edition Robocop is offset against a colourful background of action packed imagery and supporting characters, including the iconic ED 209. Not just a stunning poster, hand numbered limited edition poster (#9/150) this example has also been autographed by the actor Peter Weller, annotated with his character name ‘ROBO’ with the movie’s tagline ‘Part Man, Part Machine, All Cop !’ The signing was carried out in 2023 (June) at FanExpo, Philadelphia and is accompanied by an official JSA Certificate of Authenticity from the event numbered AK96629. Trivia: Realizing that the film was running behind schedule and over budget, director Paul Verhoeven and producer Jon Davison purposely did not film one crucial scene: Officer Murphy’s death. When production wrapped, they went back to Los Angeles and grimly informed the execs that Murphy’s death had not been filmed. After watching the footage they did film, the execs were so astonished by the aesthetics and performances they gave the filmmakers more money and they filmed the scene in a redecorated warehouse in Los Angeles.

The influence of John Badham’s “Saturday Night Fever” cannot be understated. A cultural phenomenon that pretty much affected everyone at some point…music, dancing, fashion, attitudes & John Travolta; perfectly cast as the local walking cliche Tony Manero. And it’s Travolta in the iconic white suite that dominates the familiar movie poster imagery. Well, all that’s missing in this outstanding Czech poster by Zdenek Ziegler is the white suit – Travolta is instantly recognisable surrounded by an array of disco lights. Rolled (as issued) it displays and presents in excellent high grade condition and represents a fantastic looking original movie poster with an eye-catching design…“Catch it !”
Trivia: John Travolta used two suits in the climax of the film; he had to switch suits between takes because one would become heavily soaked with sweat and had to be dried while he was wearing the other one for subsequent takes.

“He was Tony Montana. The world will remember him by another name…SCARFACE”
One of the greatest and most influential gangster movies of all time and this 2022 limited edition art print by Matt Ferguson and Florey is one of the best alternative movie posters produced for Brian De Palma’s “Scarface”. Hand-signed by both artists this artist proof edition released by Vice Press features a key scene from the movie as Tony Montana sits brooding in his darkened study awaiting the violent and bloody onslaught he knows is coming with the rug cleverly illustrated to resemble a river of blood. A fantastic example of highly desirable movie memorabilia, that’s very cool and looks incredible.
Trivia: The international corporation set up by Saddam Hussein to launder money from his various enterprises was called Montana Management after the Scarface (1983) main character.

One of the rarer posters from Ale Cox’s movie that was meant to define punk’s ‘Posh & Becks’. This is the 2016, 30th Anniversary re-release for the punk-rocku-drama “Sid & Nancy”. Considering it was such a bleak and colourless film the use of bright yellow and red as a main part of the design is unusual to say the least. Still it works & this originally rolled (as issued) version displays and presents to excellent effect and looks superb. If you were a fan, a punk or identify with the film then this is a great snapshot of the time, the pop culture and the genre.
Trivia: Gary Oldman lived on a diet of steamed fish and melon to lose enough weight to play the emaciated, heroin-addicted Sid, and was hospitalized when he went too far and became malnourished.

“Heads Will Roll”
A true ‘Burtonesque’ classic. Tim Burton seems like the only film maker on the planet who could come up with characters such as the ones found in “Sleepy Hollow.” With a host of regular Burton collaborators and some familiar new faces (if you are a fan of classic horror you’ll be delighted) his stylish adaptation is based on the story by Washington Irving called “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, where he captures the slumbering, creepy village of Sleepy Hollow with vivid details and imaginative description. The way everything is presented, the trees look like something out of a fairy tale and the scenery represents deception in a mysterious wonderland, and makes this production a captivating and magical film experiences which is beautifully represented in this US one-sheet designed by BLT and Associates from first year of release, 1999. Presented rolled (as issued) it displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia for an innovative and popular film maker.
Trivia: Director Tim Burton says the film was inspired by the Gothic horror films of Mario Bava and Hammer Film Productions. Burton brought Hammer veteran Michael Gough out of retirement for a small role, and recruited Sir Christopher Lee, a veteran of both Hammer and Bava’s films, for a cameo.
