“Taxi Driver” has become a multi award winning pop culture cult phenomenon. Offered here is an absolutely stunning alternative movie poster by Krzysztof Domaradzki for Martin Scorsese’s classic. A clever design with full colour key character and scene imagery incorporated into the ‘TAXI’ of the title set against a bright yellow (the colour of a New York taxi-cab) background. Originally rolled (as issued) this Red Light Variant screen print is hand-numbered #135/145. Printed on Fedrigoni Sirio Colour Limone Paper using ten (10) different coloured inks it presents and displays to excellent effect. Hugely desirable and a must have addition for the serious collector or Taxi Driver fan it represents an extremely collectable item of movie memorabilia from a film that is rightly regarded as one of the finest ever made.
Trivia: The scene where Travis Bickle is talking to himself in the mirror was completely ad-libbed by Robert De Niro. The screenplay details just said, “Travis looks in the mirror.” Martin Scorsese claims that he got the inspiration for the scene from Marlon Brando mouthing words in front of a mirror in Reflections in a Golden Eye.

“He Said He’d Be Back…and He Certainly is !”
Sci-fi movies can rarely be made in such way that can be looked at as works of art. This is one of the few exceptions. The prediction of judgment day with Linda Hamilton watching a playground full of kids be burnt to the ground is an absolute brilliant portrayal of Armageddon. The theme that men will destroy themselves is also shown throughout the movie also and is even said by The Terminator…“It’s in your nature to destroy yourselves”. This brings the movie to a whole new level of sci-fi and one of the most sought after of titles by collectors of the genre and Schwarzenegger’s vast legion of fans. Offered here is an original 1991 British UK quad film poster for James Cameron’s sci-fi, time travel, shoot ’em up uber-actioner “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”. The horizontal landscape format of the British quad perfectly complements the design by The Cimarron Group with iconic imagery that has become as recognisable as Arnie himself. One of the most influential film of the past thirty five years with ground breaking CGI special effects and spectacular action set pieces. A very hard film poster to find in this excellent unrestored rolled (as issued) condition that represents an impressive item of original cinematic movie memorabilia.

In a design that’s unique to Japan the largely black and white imagery features Arnie’s eyes finished in a blazing red, leaving you in no doubt he is a Terminator. Trivia: Given Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s US $15 million salary, and his total of seven hundred words of dialogue, he was paid $21,429 per word. “Hasta la vista, baby” cost $85,716.

There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence of Batman and Matt Reeves’ latest offering “The Batman” sees Robert Pattinson don the cowl and it looks as if the Dark Knight franchise is in good hands. All indications point to a stylish new chapter for DC’s iconic comic book hero. Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning Advance UK quad film poster for the worldwide marketing campaign. This is the very first poster released for this 2022 release. Originally rolled (as issued), this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect with only minimal handling wear and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised figures.
Trivia: The Batmobile in this film is a customised muscle car. This draws influence from the 1970s “Batman” comics by Neal Adams, where the Batmobile was a fairly normal-looking car that Batman drove for stealth purposes.

One of the few films that truly deserves to be called a ‘classic’. John Landis’ 1980 action comedy rollercoaster “The Blues Brothers”. Over the years this movie has built up a huge cult following and established itself as the benchmark for which other action comedy films are compared against; it’s not many that come close. Any paper from the original release is extremely scarce and very sought after – making this original, very displayable Australian waybill hugely desirable and features Jake (John Belushi) & Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) Blues in classic pose dancing atop an over turned police patrol car that perfectly suits the film’s mood and vibe. Originally folded (as issued) it displays very well and is a fine example of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for the screens best loved anarchic action musical comedy that is “The Blues Brothers”

Scarce original UK quad film poster from one of the best thrillers of the 70’s…William Friedkin’s multi Oscar winning thriller “The French Connection”. Francis Ford Coppola’s multi Oscar winning masterpiece “The Godfather” is THE GREATEST FILM EVER MADE. Re-released in 2022 for its 5oth Anniversary, renowned artist Paul Shipper was commissioned to create a new poster for the event. Shipper’s artwork is superb with an incredible cast montage poster, with as you would expect Brando & Pacino taking centre stage. This British one-sheet displays to excellent effect and is an outstanding movie poster for a film, that is a phenomenon. An exquisite Mafia epic with outstanding performances, Coppola got everything right, creating a cinematic event with an immeasurable influence on everyday culture and life.
Trivia: The smack that Vito gives Johnny Fontane was not in the script. Marlon Brando improvised the smack and Al Martino‘s confused reaction was real. According to James Caan, “Martino didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

Designed by creative arts agency GHAH Studios the 2020 US one-sheet film poster for Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather (Part III) Coda – The Death of Michael Corleone” is a dramatic, atmospheric poster image featuring the remaining members of the Corleone dynasty – the aged Don Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), Vincent (Adam Garcia) the illegitimate son of Michael’s brother Sonny, Connie (Talia Shire) and Michael’s daughter Mary (Sofia Coppola). With dark, rich colour tones it is a perfect choice of design for Coppola’s final instalment of his hugely influential & Oscar winning trilogy. The double sided US one sheet offered here is presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition). It displays superbly and represents a fine piece of collectable original movie memorabilia for a much admired and hugely respected film franchise.
Trivia: Because of the popularity of the two earlier Godfather movies, Frank Sinatra reversed his anti-Godfather stance and expressed interest in playing Don Altobello. He lost interest because of the size of the paycheck for the role, and it went to Eli Wallach. Coincidentally, Sinatra got his role in From Here to Eternity (1953) when Wallach backed out due to scheduling conflicts with a Broadway play. Legend has it that Sinatra used mob ties to get Wallach’s part, which inspired the Johnny Fontane subplot in The Godfather (1972).

A beautiful, US one-sheet (Studio style) from first year of release, 1980 for Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece of modern horror “The Shining”. Designed by one of the greatest poster artist’s ever – Saul Bass. His imagery has become as iconic as the movie itself with the use of just a yellow and black colour palette and a simple image, incorporated into the title logo. Totally original and unrestored, this example is presented in high grade excellent folded (as issued) condition that displays superbly. A genuinely scarce and hard to find example of horror film cinema memorabilia for one of the most important and influential horror films ever made. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…”
Trivia #1: According to Shelley Duvall, the famous “Here’s Johnny !” scene took three days to film and the use of sixty doors.
Trivia #2: For the “Here’s Johnny” scene in which Jack breaks down the bathroom door, the props department built a door that could be easily broken. However, Jack Nicholson had worked as a volunteer fire marshal and tore it apart far too easily. The props department were then forced to build a stronger door.

An outstanding original 1982 black & white press publicity still for John Carpenter’s horror, sci-fi classic “The Thing”. This superb example features Kurt Russell’s character MacReady as he discovers the macabre frozen remains of a member of the Norwegian expedition – Alien terror never looked better than this. This original black & white publicity still is flat and unfolded (as issued), in exceptional condition, presented in a custom made black frame finished with UV plexiglass. A movie that is highly regarded as a true classic of the genre and a hugely collectable piece of horror, sci-fi film memorabilia…“Did you notice anything strange about the dog that arrived yesterday? Anything at all?”
Trivia: Unused music composed for this film was later used by Ennio Morricone in Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight (2015). Ironically, Morricone’s Thing score was nominated for a Razzie for worst score, while his score for Hateful Eight won him an Oscar.
