With artwork by Gary Pullin, this 2019 alternative movie poster for Wes Craven’s 1984 horror classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is an impressive example of horror art that also benefits from being signed by Freddy Krueger himself – ROBERT ENGLUND; a beautiful clear signature that includes his character name – FREDDY KRUEGER, written in a silver pen that contrasts incredibly strongly against the black background. It’s unusual to have a full character name with Englund most commonly signing only Freddy K. Signed at the Horrified event held in April 2025 (see photo of Robert signing the exact poster you are buying) this is an impressive item of cinematic horror movie memorabilia from one of the defining horror movie characters’ himself – ROBERT ENGLUND – FREDDY KRUEGER.
Trivia: Freddy Krueger was designed by Wes Craven to be the typical “silent” serial killer, such as Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers. However, in the sequels, Freddy developed a cheeky persona that enabled him to be the black-humored villain.

With artwork by Rich Davies, this 2020 alternative movie poster for Wes Craven’s 1984 horror classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is an impressive example of horror art. Titled ‘Sleep Kills’ Davies’ imagery features Freddy’s distinctive shadow moving menacingly above a sleeping Nancy (Heather Langenkamp). Printed on to textured art paper using giclee inks the colours pop from the paper, giving a real quality finish which has been hand-numbered #181 from a print run of 250. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays to excellent effect. A great looking horror poster that represents a fine piece of collectable modern cinema movie memorabilia.

What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

After the acclaim artist Graham Humphreys’ earned after his outstanding work on the British marketing campaign for Wes Craven’s “A Nightmare on Elm Street” it came as no surprise that he was commissioned once again for the sequel “A Nightmare on Elm Street: Part 2 – Freddy’s Revenge”. With the success of the character Freddy is no longer a horror character to keep hidden on the advertising material and Humphreys certainly doesn’t hold back as Krueger’s fire scarred visage takes up nearly all of the poster with his (now familiar) battered fedora and razor bladed glove included in the imagery. Setting a high bench mark for modern horror artwork Humphreys’ imagery was only used for the UK quad design and is one of the most sought after film posters of the 80’s and the horror genre. Graham Humpreys has been dubbed England’s greatest living horror artist and it’s not hard to see why when you see this beautiful film poster from first year of release 1985. Totally original and unrestored, this rolled (as issued) example is presented in excellent condition with, unusually for a horror poster some incredibly bright colours. Extremely scarce and a must have for the serious collector it represents a fantastic item of horror movie memorabilia. The best I have ever offered for sale or seen – it really is exceptional and perfect for investment or to just enjoy.
Trivia: The original glove from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) was used in this movie and was also seen hanging on the wall of the work shed in Evil Dead II (1987). This was in response to the use of The Evil Dead (1981) on a television screen in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and part of a continued banter between directors Wes Craven and Sam Raimi. However, when Wes Craven loaned the glove to the A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) set, it was lost but eventually found by a Freddy fan, Mike Becker, at an auction in 2009.

Now most poster aficionados turn their noses up at photo-shopped designs, but this is different; It’s a great, full of menace Freddy image offset against a plain misty effect background with bright blood red credits and title. Trivia: Wes Craven‘s original premise of the film involved Freddy invading the real world and haunting the actors and crew responsible for the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” films. This idea was inspired by Return to Horror High (1987), which was another meta-horror movie at the time. However, it was rejected by the studio for being too ambitious, though Craven was later able to use it for Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994).

“On Friday The 13th, They Began To Die Horribly, One……By One”
Distinctive Alex Ebel artwork makes this original 1980 country of original US one sheet movie poster for Sean S. Cunningham’s slasher masterpiece “Friday the 13th” extremely sought after by collector’s of the horror genre. Introducing Jason Voorhees as one of the triumvirate of 80’s slasher horror icons that includes Wes Craven’s Freddy Kruger & John Carpenter’s Michael Myers. A multitude of sequels, match ups and remakes have been released since this premiered but none match this genre defining classic. Originally folded (as issued) this unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect with only minimal age and handling wear with bright & unfaded colours. It represents a fine piece of sought after cinema memorabilia from one of the defining ‘slasher’ flick Film’s.
Trivia: The filmmakers never intended to make this the launching pad for the franchise that followed. According to Victor Miller, Jason Voorhees was only meant as a plot device, and not intended to continue on his mother’s grisly work.

The artwork for any of the film poster produced are all extremely collectable and strikingly individual in design; from the ‘Jack O’Lantern’ US one sheet to the UK quad film poster featuring a screaming Jamie Lee Curtis as Michael Myers’ hand appears at the car window; all seen through an icy blue haze. Offered here is one of the best of the more modern alternative movie poster designs by the artist Paul Mann. Mann’s stunning imagery and use of bold colour tones makes for a truly eye-catching piece as a menacing Michael Myers takes centre stage against a backdrop of a flaming halloween pumpkin. Released in 2024 as a limited edition of only 70 (this is hand-numbered #12). An original 1988 Italian film poster for the quintessential B-movie slasher “Maniac Cop”. This beautiful originally example certainly impresses in the large format style of an Italian One Panel (2-Fogli). A classic 80s poster design, with bold in your face artwork (sadly un-attributed) featuring the titular Maniac Cop looming menacingly over the night time New York skyline with deep blood red detailing for the title. Regarded as one THE cult movies of the 1980s, this example is presented in excellent original, folded (as issued) condition that represents a fantastic piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Given a limited theatrical release in the U.S. at Grindhouse theaters and midnight movie showings. Despite failing to recoup its costs, the video rights sales shot through the roof due to the huge demand for horror related films for the US and foreign video rental market. This ultimately led to two sequels being made, driven almost exclusively by demand from the video rental market.
