“Solo: A Star Wars Story” is part of a new concept for the Star Wars franchise originally created by George Lucas and set before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and the second in a series of ‘standalone’ films, introducing a new group of heroes & the early informative years of some well known ones. The release of any Star Wars film is always accompanied by a huge global marketing and merchandising campaign with the movie posters produced always being of the highest artistic quality. And I’m pleased to say that Solo is no exception; Created by the leading design agency BLT Communications this Advance teaser design is a great depiction of the leading characters and perfectly suited by the landscape format of the UK quad. The British film poster offered here is full UK quad size measuring 30″ x 40″ and is double sided. Guaranteed original and presented here in fantastic unrestored condition this beautiful ROLLED (as issued) example looks fantastic with minimal handling wear; deep unfaded vibrant orange colour tones…A desirable example of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: The Golden Fertility Idol from the opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) is on a table in Dryden Vos’s meeting room. Harrison Ford, who originally played Han Solo, also played Indiana Jones. Director Ron Howard confirmed this Easter egg on Twitter.

“Beyond the darkness…beyond the human evolution…is Khan. A genetically superior tyrant. Exhiled to a barren planet; banished by a Starship Commander he is destined to destroy. Left for dead, Khan has survived”.
Original 1982 Japanese B2 movie poster for the best original series Star Trek movie ever “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”. Originally rolled (as issued) this fantastic looking poster displays to excellent effect with no fold lines, lovely deep, unfaded colours and fantastic photo-montage imagery featuring all the key cast members, Kirk, Spock and the crew of USS Enterprise never looked better. A fine piece of sci-fi movie memorabilia and one of the best looking and most collectable film posters for the much loved franchise.
Trivia: The famous “Space, the final frontier” monologue is heard for the first time since Star Trek (1966), now narrated by Leonard Nimoy, however this has been changed slightly. Instead of saying, “…its five-year mission…” and “to seek out new life,” this now says, “her ongoing mission…” and “to seek out new lifeforms”.

A 1977 original year of release “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” Style C UK Quad featuring Chantrell’s much loved artwork. This is the “Awards Version” produced after the movie had won 7 Oscars. When George Lucas & the Studio Executives realised just how successful this movie was likely to become their marketing strategy had to be re-assessed. The original Jung & Hildebrand posters although iconic & artistic where not really that commercial in terms of characterisation. Tom Chantrell was drafted & in & produced this new look, all-action, bolder, brighter looking poster. Luke, Leia & Han Solo all bear an incredible likeness to their screen counterparts & the Star Wars merchandising phenomena was born. Easily the most recognisable of all the Star Wars posters it is this design that has become synonymous with the franchise and is extremely sought after with many collectors & fans. Folded (as issued) this beautiful unrestored original condition poster presents to excellent effect and represents a scarce and desirable piece of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: George Lucas‘ decision to accept a lower salary on the movie in exchange for full merchandising rights was considered a fool’s gamble on his part. Although some movie-toy combinations had done moderate retail returns at the time, they had never been major money-earners because of the long gap between when a movie would go through its theatrical run and when any products based on it would be available. This movie, however, was such a phenomenon that it reached the holiday 1977 sales period in full swing, and changed the way how movies were merchandised forever.

An 1982 original first year of ‘dubbed’ release in Japan of “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”. In 1982, Japan premiered the first version of Star Wars to use Japanese voice-over actors rather than subtitles. George Lucas & the Studio Executives were incredibly pleased with the result and said that the Japanese voices closely resembled those of the original actors and maintained the integrity of the production. For this ‘dubbed’ presentation acclaimed Japanese artist Noriyoshi Ohrai was commissioned to create the artwork. Drawing on his own love of the Millennium Falcon he produced a fantastic image centred around this iconic spaceship which also features, Han, Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, the Death Star and succeeded in creating one of the best looking, fan favourite Star Wars’ film posters. Featuring country unique Japanese artwork this exceptional investment grade example is truly one of my favourite posters from the franchise. Rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored original condition poster presents near flawlessly and represents a scarce and desirable piece of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: The word “Jedi” is derived from the Japanese words “Jidai Geki,” which translate as “period adventure drama.” A period adventure drama is a Japanese television soap opera program set in the samurai days. George Lucas mentioned in an interview that he saw a “Jidai Geki” program on television while in Japan a year or so before the movie was made, and he liked the word.

Although on almost constant release in some cinemas since its original 1977 it wasn’t until 1981 that “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” received its first official re-release. What followed was a special two-week limited engagement showing and for this new one-sheets were created with a bright yellow banner tagline across the middle that reads “The Force Will Be With You For Two Weeks Only” and reworking Tom Jung’s original poster design. Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia are highlighted in full colour set against silver logo lettering, which in turn is offset against a matt black background. It really is a striking piece . This re-release only happened in the United States making these country of origin posters highly desirable. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful example benefits from being conservation linen backed and presents to excellent effect. A scarce and desirable piece of original Star Wars cinematic movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.

“He always wanted to be special… but he never expected THIS!”
Original 1985 UK Quad movie poster for the best movie poster Michael J. Fox made, that isn’t “Back to the Future”, Rod Daniel’s teenage angst comedy with a werewolf twist “Teen Wolf”. With artwork by Lucinda Cowell, I personally feel it displays far better in the landscape format of the UK quad than the equivalent one-sheet. Originally rolled (as issued – uncommon with this title) this fantastic looking poster displays to excellent effect with lovely deep, unfaded colours. A great piece of 1980s nostalgia, presented in near perfect condition for one of cinema’s best loved stars.
Trivia: Scott Howard’s (Michael J. Fox‘s) house was located on the same block as 1955 George McFly’s and 1955 Lorraine Baines’ houses from Back to the Future (1985).

A critical and commercial success and perhaps the best British movie (gangster or otherwise) ever made…John MacKenzie’s “The Long Good Friday”. Receiving a very limited release in UK cinemas (it was nearly never released due to financial problems & only saved as a cinematic production by George Harrison, with his Handmade Films stepping in at the 11th hour) meant that any paper is scarce, making this original 1980 UK quad film poster a rare find especially in such high grade condition. Featuring stark black & white country unique design & artwork, this excellent unrestored example presents near perfectly. Rolled (as issued) it represents an exceptional piece of collectable original film memorabilia from a true British gangster classic…“The Mafia? I’ve shit ’em”

Receiving a very limited release in UK cinemas (it was nearly never released due to financial problems & only saved as a cinematic production by George Harrison, with his Handmade Films stepping in at the 11th hour) meant that any paper is scarce, with black and white promotional and press stills particularly elusive. making this original 1980 British, country of origin example, a rare find especially in such high grade condition. Presented flat (as issued) it represents an exceptional piece of collectable original film memorabilia from a true British gangster classic…“The Mafia? I’ve shit ’em”

“Heroes. Giants. Villains. Wizards. True Love. – Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale.”
A very COOL poster for a much loved action adventure fantasy romance. This original “The Princess Bride” movie poster has it all; amazing artwork by Steve Crisp for Hat ART Design, great detail & super colours. It is also very rare being one of only a very limited number printed by the artist for a special Valentine’s Day screening at The Odyssey Cinema in St Albans in 2026. Pure artwork, with no typography at all. Originally rolled (as issued) it is presented in beautiful condition with colours that pop from the paper – a very high quality print. A fantasy classic cinema poster that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia, especially if you are a fan of Heroes, Giants, Wizards & True Love (& let’s face it who isn’t).
Trivia: According to author William Goldman, when he was first trying to get the movie made in the 1970s, a then-unknown Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to play Fezzik, and he was strongly being considered because Goldman could never get his first choice, André the Giant, to read for the role. By the time the movie was made about twelve years later, Schwarzenegger was such a big star they could not afford him. Andre was cast after all, and the two big men had gone on to become friends.

After filming was completed, Cage gave his jacket to Laura Dern.
